I am a Licensed Clinical Mental Health Counselor in NY, and an LCPC in Maryland. I have a masters in clinical counseling from Johns Hopkins University and have been practicing psychotherapy for 10 years in my work with teens, adults and families. I currently provide services via telehealth (interactive video counseling). I support my clients through times of difficult transitions, grief and loss, and on the journey of healing from traumatic experiences. I support clients in answering the questions of 'Who Am I?', and 'Where Am I Going?'. I support my clients to better understand themselves and their relationships with others and to create more meaningful and fulfilling relationships. I support people to explore and understand their various identities, including gender/sexuality, racial/cultural identity, strengths, abilities and interests. In our work together, you can expect a relationship built on non-judgmental listening and empowerment for you as the expert in your own life. We will journey together as you may be seeking greater authenticity and satisfaction with your life, or finding your life’s purpose. I look forward to the opportunity to work with you and support your journey.

I know it can be scary to reach out when many things seem unclear. However, I can shed light on what you are going through. Common approaches can help someone cope on a moment-to-moment basis. Meanwhile, layers of your experience can still necessitate insight and healing. A good relational space allows open dialogue and collaboration over your life situation, bringing about positive change, insight into your needs, decisions or ambivalences. I have had a career of helping many people in tough moments while providing a safe and empathic environment. I enjoy and commit to making a difference for people dealing with trauma, depression and anxiety. Moreso, my clients often feel they have someone in kinship to their journey. This provides a renewed sense of comfort, wholeness and understanding to their lives.

Welcome to Samadhi Mental Health Counseling. In our work together, I will use the therapeutic relationship to help expand your awareness, move toward acceptance and then deciding on an appropriate action. My role is to provide safety, security and honesty for you to use and explore what is most important in your life. Creating a healthy and balanced life where you encounter peace on a daily basis does not come without tremendous effort, insight, and a network of people who support your goals. As part of this balanced life, I routinely implement mindfulness based stress reduction (MBSR) as a way to relate to your inner world in a more authentic way. Another option to help process experiences I implement is eye movement desensitization and reprocessing (EMDR) therapy.
