I am a Licensed LMHC by the University of NYS, bilingual in both English and Spanish. I began my career in 1988 as a Licensed Clinical Psychologist at the University of Buenos Aires with a concentration in Psychoanalysis and Psychological Testing. I later became a Psycho-dramatist dealing with Psychodynamic interventions, as well as Behavioral techniques and Counseling. I have over 30 years of experience. 2. I began working for the National Argentinean Board of Education where I created, implemented and led psycho-dramatic seminaries, helping principals and teachers at intermediate and elementary schools. As a Private Practice Professional, I developed treatment plans tailored specifically to my clients. Most of these individuals do not speak English and the vast majority of them are unable to understand the complexity and intricacy of U.S. immigration laws even in their native Spanish. They may not even be aware that they have pending court cases, and may not appear at a scheduled hearing, which often leads to very serious consequences 4. I currently specialize as a Bilingual Psychotherapist targeting young people and adults who suffer from disorders such as PTSD, Major Depression, Psychosis and Anxiety. I also work with individual and family counseling, helping with diagnosis and crisis intervention, and serving parents with their own dynamics within the family. 5. I serve as PRN Clinician (Clinician called as needed) for BCFS working with unaccompanied asylum-seeking minors. With over 7 years of experience supporting children, adolescents, and adults navigating trauma, adversity and other life stressors, I have witnessed that trauma and stress are not simply our thoughts but deeply embedded in our minds and bodies, causing impact to the whole person. This understanding has informed my clinical approach through helping individuals regulate their stress response and nervous system so they can feel more in control of their emotions, thoughts, and reactions. My therapeutic approach is rooted in the belief that change is possible through safe and healthy connections and feeling seen and heard.

Do you ever feel overwhelmed by the pressure you put on yourself or by what everyone else seems to expect from you? College can come with a long list of demands. Do well in classes. Make friends. Join clubs. Keep everyone happy. Figure out your future. When all of this adds up, it can start to feel heavy and confusing. I’m Emily, a therapist with extensive experience working with children, teens, and adults in community mental health clinics, schools, non-profits, and group practices. I help students work through anxiety, depression, self-doubt, identity exploration, social challenges, and the impact of past experiences or trauma. I use approaches like CBT, DBT, and psychodynamic therapy, along with a strengths-based and trauma-informed perspective. What this really means is that we work together to understand what you are experiencing and develop tools that fit you as an individual. My goal is to offer a space where you feel safe, accepted, and supported while you figure things out. You deserve a place where you can be honest, build confidence, and move toward self-acceptance. Whatever you are facing, you belong here. I am here to listen, help you make sense of things, and support you as you work toward the life you want.

Maybe you’ve been the “easy kid” — the one who doesn’t make waves, keeps it together, and takes care of everyone else. On the outside, you look fine. Inside, you feel unseen, weighed down, or like no one really gets you. I’m Citlali (seet-la-lee), but most call me Lali (like lollipop) a therapist who helps young adults with parents who can’t always show up emotionally. In therapy, you don’t have to pretend or be “the strong one.” This is a space just for you — to talk about what’s real, to figure out who you are, and to feel supported instead of alone. Reach out to schedule your free 15 minute intro call to see if we're a good fit together! I look forward to connecting soon :)

*Our practice is now accepting new students for individual counseling* Much of our suffering is stored throughout our body, leaving us with a racing mind and feelings of stress, anxiety, depression. By approaching healing through a lens that incorporates the whole-body, we will work together so that you can heal fully and sustainably. I specialize in working with individuals faced with persistent anxiety, depression, grief, and trauma. Many of these symptoms will manifest in relationship issues, difficulty sleeping, or poor motivation. Together we will explore the root causes that perpetuate your suffering and develop strategies so that you can lead a more fulfilling and joyful life. I am a clinical social worker, yoga & mindfulness teacher. I blend my degree as a clinician along with training in Mindfulness-Based Stress Reduction (MBSR), Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), and Yoga Therapy to offer an integrative approach to treatment. I believe that in order to truly heal, we must honor our whole-body and mind working together. My mission is to uncover the most effective paths for guiding others in reducing suffering and increasing a sense of joy and fulfillment in everyday life. Professionally and personally, I have gathered experience, evidence, and strategies for enhancing life and uncovering “what it’s all about”. I wish to share this with you.
