Are you struggling to reach your full potential in college, despite being bright and capable? I help students who know they're smart but face unexpected challenges in their coursework, campus life, or daily routines. I provide neuroaffirming care to students who: - Work incredibly hard but don't see the grades they expect - Excel in some classes but struggle with organization or meeting deadlines - Feel they're not living up to their potential - Want to understand why certain academic tasks feel more challenging than they should My goal is to bring together all the pieces needed to understand your unique situation – from detailed assessments to blood work to medication consultations – all in one welcoming place. I don't just run tests; I take the time to get to know you, understand your academic and personal goals, and create practical solutions that make a real difference in your college experience. Whether you're seeking academic accommodations, looking to improve your study performance, or simply wanting to better understand how your mind works, I am here to guide you through every step with clear explanations and meaningful solutions. Beyond assessments, I offer Cogmed Training to help strengthen your working memory, and can provide medication management when appropriate.

About My Practice College can be an exciting time, but it can also bring a lot of pressure - academically, socially, personally, and emotionally. Whether you're struggling with a specific challenge or simply know that something needs to shift, therapy can be a space to slow down, gain perspective, and figure out what you need. My goal is to help you feel more grounded, emotionally resilient, and able to move through college and into adulthood in a way that feels genuinely like your own.

I have a virtual private practice although I do see clients in person some Saturday mornings. Based in cognitive behavioral therapy, several years ago I also began working with energy and infuse EFT Tapping into sessions. EFT Tapping for College Students: Feel calmer, think clearer, and stay grounded—one tap at a time. College life can be exciting, but it can also feel overwhelming. Between deadlines, exams, social pressure, and figuring out your future, stress can build up fast. EFT Tapping (Emotional Freedom Techniques) is a simple, effective tool that helps reduce anxiety, ease emotional tension, and bring your mind back to a calmer state—anytime, anywhere. What Is EFT Tapping? EFT is a gentle method that combines light tapping on specific acupressure points with mindful attention to your thoughts and feelings. It’s easy to learn, takes only a few minutes, and can be done discreetly—even in a dorm room, study hall, or before a big exam. How EFT Can Help You Students use tapping to: Reduce stress before exams or presentations Ease feelings of anxiety, overwhelm, or sadness Improve focus and emotional balance Build confidence during demanding times Release tension after a tough day Why It Works Tapping helps calm the body’s stress response, allowing you to shift from “fight-or-flight” mode back into a more relaxed, grounded state. Many students find that even a short session helps them feel lighter, clearer, and more in control. You don’t have to push through stress alone. EFT tapping is a practical, empowering tool you can carry with you through every semester. Whether you’re dealing with academic pressure or navigating emotional ups and downs, tapping can help you reconnect with yourself—and move forward with more ease.

I am a licensed clinical psychologist providing psychotherapy for college students and young adults in the Pittsburgh area and throughout Pennsylvania via telehealth. Many of the students I work with are dealing with anxiety, academic pressure, relationship challenges, identity questions, and the stress of major life transitions. My approach to therapy is insight-oriented and collaborative. I integrate psychodynamic therapy with practical strategies drawn from cognitive behavioral therapy (CBT) and mindfulness. Therapy provides a space to better understand patterns in thoughts, emotions, and relationships while developing healthier ways of responding to stress. Students often come to therapy feeling overwhelmed, stuck, or unsure how to move forward. Together we work to clarify what is happening beneath the surface, build emotional resilience, and create meaningful change in areas such as anxiety, depression, relationships, and self-confidence. I provide both in-person sessions in Carnegie, Pennsylvania and secure online therapy throughout the U.S. via PSYPACT. Prior to private practice I trained and worked full time at five counseling counseling centers in various cities.
My approach to therapy is strengths based and collaborative. Therapy will be a place for you to learn more about yourself and how to move your life in a valued direction. I am neurodiversity affirming, LGBTQIA affirming, and culturally responsive. Treatment will draw on Acceptance and Commitment Therapy and Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT) techniques rooted in goal-oriented strategies and interventions.
