Karmen Seltz is a psychotherapist who believes that the therapeutic relationship can build the foundation to make change. Therapy can help you make complicated decisions simpler and reinforce your successes. Often, it is a matter of helping you unlock the solution that is waiting inside you. Many successful people struggle with doing everything “perfectly,” and it can be exhausting. Therapy offers an opportunity to build self-care habits and learn new ways to cope, and taking this time for yourself will have a positive effect on your relationships as well. Karmen works with adults, couples, and families who are struggling with mood disorders, trauma, and substance use disorders. I have years of experience helping people make changes in their lives. Hi, great to meet you! I tend to work best with students who are feeling overwhelmed, stuck, or unsure of themselves. You might be juggling school, relationships, family expectations, or just trying to figure out who you are and where you’re headed. Maybe you’ve been dealing with stress, anxiety, low mood, or feeling like you’re “not enough,” even if things look fine on the outside. A lot of the students I work with are thoughtful, caring people who put pressure on themselves and don’t always give themselves the same understanding they give others. Some are going through big transitions, breakups, or identity questions. Others just feel off and aren’t sure why. If you’re looking for a space where you can be real, feel heard, and sort things out at your own pace, we’d likely be a good fit. Let's connect.
Hello, I’m Amanda Pecha, LCSW, CSAC. I’m a licensed clinical social worker and certified substance abuse counselor with specialized training in addiction recovery, trauma-informed care, and integrated mental health treatment. I also provide EMDR (Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing) and CPT (Cognitive Processing Therapy) for individuals working through traumatic experiences, PTSD, and long-standing patterns connected to trauma. I work with individuals navigating the impact of trauma, substance use, anxiety, and patterns of self-doubt or overwhelm. My therapeutic style is warm, practical, and collaborative, focusing on helping clients understand their story, break cycles that no longer serve them, and build the skills and confidence needed for lasting change. I use evidence-based approaches—including EMDR, CPT, CBT, and motivational interviewing—to support healing, reduce distress, and strengthen resilience. My aim is always to create a safe, judgment-free space where you feel understood, validated, and empowered to move toward a more grounded and authentic version of yourself. Whether you're seeking support for addiction, processing trauma, or wanting to improve your overall mental and emotional wellbeing, I’d be honored to support you on your healing journey.
You didn’t end up here because you’re weak, you ended up here because carrying everything alone most likely became too heavy. I work with teens (15+), adults, and couples to break out of patterns around self-esteem, trauma, substance use, and relationships. Therapy with me is warm and honest and I aim to create a space where you feel safe and supported yet challenged to confront what keeps you stuck. I became a therapist because I’ve been on the other side of struggle and I know how powerful it can be to feel truly understood. In particular, I relate well with teens who are struggling with self-esteem, school struggles, and stress related to their future. Please reach out today if you are looking for someone who truly “gets it”.

The transition to undergraduate or graduate school can be a very vulnerable time, and many experience depression, anxiety, and anger along the way. It can be challenging to reach out for support and get connected, but it doesn’t have to be. I am honored to support and hold space for those struggling during these transitions. I have experience and interest in relationship issues, adjustment to life transitions, issues with family of origin, self-esteem, anxiety, depression, neurodivergence, and other mood concerns. I have specialized training in perinatal mental health, sexual health, self-compassion, and Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing (EMDR). I strive to use a non-judgmental, empathetic, and validating stance to help clients heal and grow, incorporating cognitive behavioral therapy, dialectical behavioral therapy, mindfulness, and self-compassion. Please reach out if you feel we may be a good fit!
