You didn’t end up here because you’re weak, you ended up here because carrying everything alone most likely became too heavy. I work with teens (15+), adults, and couples to break out of patterns around self-esteem, trauma, substance use, and relationships. Therapy with me is warm and honest and I aim to create a space where you feel safe and supported yet challenged to confront what keeps you stuck. I became a therapist because I’ve been on the other side of struggle and I know how powerful it can be to feel truly understood. In particular, I relate well with teens who are struggling with self-esteem, school struggles, and stress related to their future. Please reach out today if you are looking for someone who truly “gets it”.
I empower individuals to better manage their lives by helping them identify and restructure boundaries within relationships, work, hobbies/interests, and other obligations. We achieve this through assertiveness, self compassion, and esteem/confidence building. Together, we’ll discover what’s been getting in the way of you being the best version of yourself. I utilize a strength-based, client-centered, and integrative approach to working with my clients. We will work collaboratively to develop an individualized treatment plan to meet your personal goals to improve your overall well being. I look forward to connecting and welcome the privilege of walking alongside you as you discover your best self.

I appreciate the time you are taking to choose the best person and process for your specific needs. Being a college student requires a lot of difficult choices, and I know finding a counselor can be hard as well. Here are some thoughts about how I work, but please contact me if you have other questions. My goal as a counselor is to shape our work around the needs, goals, and overall direction you want to take in your life. If you have very focused, concrete issues you want to address, we’ll use a solution-focused approach to create plans and strategies for focused change and growth. If you have more broad, complicated things to address, we talk about a deeper purpose and meaning for your life that can serve as a foundation for more significant changes. No matter what you would like to talk about in counseling, we will capitalize on your strengths as a whole person to create the change you seek.
