Rebecca Frost, MD
I am a board certified psychiatrist and provide combined psychotherapy and medication treatment. My patients are typically looking for therapy to address concerns such as stress, anxiety, depression, and relationship issues. They are also often looking for support with evidence-based medication treatment. I listen carefully to understand the difficulties that bring someone to treatment and to understand their goals. I am collaborative in my approach. I approach psychotherapy from a psychodynamic perspective, where the goal is to increase understanding and insight into thoughts, feelings, and behavior. When we can understand ourselves better, we can then change patterns that may be getting in our way. This type of therapy can often lead to lasting change. Please note that because my practice is telehealth only, I do not prescribe controlled substances (for example, stimulants for ADHD or medications such as Xanax or Ativan for anxiety).
Melanie Lozano
I work best with college students who feel overwhelmed, stuck, or unsure of what comes next. Maybe you’re balancing school, relationships, family expectations, or figuring out who you are. Therapy can be a space to slow down, make sense of what you’re feeling, and better understand yourself along the way.
Safe Space Therapy, PLLC
Feeling stuck, lost, or like you're balancing too much at once? College can be exciting, but it can also leave you feeling overwhelmed, anxious, or unsure of who you are and where you're headed. Whether you're navigating relationships, family expectations, career/academic stress, life transitions, or the pressure of figuring out your future, you don't have to do it alone. As a first-generation individual, I'm especially passionate about supporting BIPOC students, first-generation immigrants, and children of immigrants through the unique challenges that can come with balancing different worlds. My goal is to create a space where you feel understood, supported, and empowered to build a life that feels authentic to you.
Grace Howell
Do you feel like you're constantly trying to keep up? Maybe you're navigating a major life transition, managing anxiety or intrusive thoughts, trying to understand your neurodivergence, or feeling burned out from always striving to do more. You may look like you're doing well on the outside while feeling overwhelmed, stuck, or disconnected on the inside. Therapy can be a place to slow down, understand what's happening beneath the surface, and figure out what you actually want, not just what you think you "should" want. Hi, I’m Grace, and I’m a Licensed Master Social Worker who works with older adolescents, young adults, and adults navigating anxiety, life transitions, relationships, neurodivergence, OCD, and the stress that can come with being a high achiever.

Kara Talton, LCSW
Navigating college life can feel like a rollercoaster, one minute you're on top of the world, the next you're cramming for finals and wondering if you'll ever figure things out. If you're feeling overwhelmed, stressed, or just need a space to talk through the ups and downs, I'm here to help. Think of our sessions as a judgment-free zone where we can tackle everything from academic anxiety to relationship drama, together.
Erika Ashton
Anxiety doesn't have to control you. We'll help you rapidly reclaim your life from panic attacks, anxiety, and Obsessive Compulsive Disorder (OCD). Dr. Ashton is a clinical psychologist with over 20 Years of experience in treating the full spectrum of anxiety disorders, mild to severe. We use only evidence-based treatments such as cognitive behavioral therapy (CBT) and exposure response prevention (ERP) to get you feeling better fast.
Inner Archive Therapy
I provide meaning-centered counseling for individuals navigating trauma, chronic pain, and long-standing stress. My practice is grounded in the belief that experiences are held not only as memories or thoughts, but also within the nervous system as patterns shaped over time. When appropriate, I integrate body-based tools and insight-oriented approaches, supporting students who may understand their experiences intellectually yet continue to feel trapped in how their body responds. Work is paced, collaborative, and attentive to context, readiness, and lived experience rather than quick symptom fixes. My services are offered through in-person sessions in Frisco, Texas, and via secure telehealth across the state. My private practice is self-pay. For those wanting to use insurance, I also see clients through Legacy Trails Therapy, where select plans are accepted under supervisory billing. This can be discussed during consultation.
Sharol Mejia
I work best with students who are doing their best but still feel overwhelmed, anxious, or emotionally tired. Many are balancing school, relationships, and personal pressures, and may struggle with overthinking, self-doubt, or expressing their needs. Therapy is a warm, supportive space where you don’t have to have everything figured out. Together, we focus on helping you feel more grounded, understood, and confident as you navigate college life.
Rooted & Nourished Psychotherapy
Most of the clients I work best with have one thing in common: they feel overwhelmed by the pressure to “have it all together,” especially around food, body image, and big life transitions. Many of them are students who look fine on the outside but are quietly struggling with anxiety, burnout, or feeling disconnected from their bodies. I often work with people who: Feel guilty or stressed about eating and don’t know how to break the cycle Overthink food choices or feel “out of control” around food Are adjusting to a big life change (moving away from home, starting college, pregnancy/postpartum, major stress) Carry a lot of self-criticism and feel exhausted from trying to meet everyone’s expectations Want a space where they can be honest without feeling judged or misunderstood My clients tend to be caring, hard-working, sensitive, and often the “strong one” in their friend group. They’re usually trying to balance school, relationships, and their own mental health—often without giving themselves the same compassion they give others. If that sounds familiar, you’re in the right place. My goal is to make therapy feel like a safe, steady place where you can slow down, understand what’s going on underneath the stress, and feel more connected to yourself again.

Donnelly Healing
I’ve been in the Mental Health field for over 10 years. I have worked in a variety of settings, allowing for a unique perspective towards improving mental health for each individual. While everyone experiences challenges, not everyone struggles in the same way. I strive to meet you where you are in your journey, using a variety of therapeutic approaches to support your unique needs. I am certified as a substance use therapist, certified trauma professional, trained in multiple modalities of therapy- ERP, PE, DBT, HRT, BA, CBT for Hoarding, ACT, and Mindfulness to name the most commonly used therapies for me. I believe in helping you discover your inner resilience through strength-based practices. I also work to increase awareness of your thoughts, emotions, and behaviors using mindfulness-based interventions and cognitive behavioral strategies. I honor each individual's autonomy, dignity, and worth, and bring compassion, understanding, and empathy into every session. I have experience working with individuals from diverse backgrounds and with a range of concerns, including anxiety, depression, substance use, low self-esteem, trauma of all types, parenting challenges, and life transitions. I also strive to create a space of inclusivity and safety. I recognize that life experiences shape us—but they don’t have to define our future. I'm here to support your journey of healing and self-discovery with respect, care, and authenticity.
Shana Hisaw
Welcome! I am excited to meet you and work with you. I love working with college students. This is such a special time in your life. Transitioning from home, into college and into the workforce can be exciting but stressful. Many struggle with homesickness, stress from academics, problems with social adjustment or time management. Or just simply suddenly dealing with depression, anxiety, or past trauma that finally needs to be addressed. No matter the issues, I am here to help.
Dana Wells-Barrett
My approach as a therapist is simple- I'm here to help you recognize the parts of yourself that you're proud of and change the parts you want to be different. Trust me, there is no problem too big or too small to bring to therapy! My clients have usually included people who have been marginalized by socio-economic barriers, people who have experienced trauma, and those with autism or other types of neurodivergence, or developmental disabilities. Since these issues can make life especially tough in new and different ways during college and the transition to adulthood, I've found that this stage of life can be the perfect time to seek out some help. Although I have a lot of experience working with ages 12-18, I'm also passionate about providing therapy to adults throughout the lifespan. I believe that a comfortable working relationship between you and your therapist is so important for you to fully access your resilience to heal and be empowered to achieve your goals. I'll always encourage you to give me honest feedback to ensure that sessions are supportive and meet your specific needs. Sessions with me will always be judgement free zones where authenticity and vulnerability are highly valued. Whether that sounds well within or far outside your comfort zone, I'd love to meet to answer any questions you have and to see if we might be a good fit. Find me at Austin Trauma Therapy Center (virtually or in-person) or schedule virtual sessions by clicking on my Headway website link.

Heather Penry
Heather loves to help her clients achieve the goals they set for themselves. She works hard to create a warm, relaxing and open minded environment for her clients to work. Heather has experience helping families meet each other where they are and improving the relationships; helping those struggling with addictions and how to work through the process; helping those with stress/depression/grief/school/relationship and work struggles are some examples of the type of clients Heather helps. She can help guide her clients to the goals they set and live the life they want and deserve. Heather understands that life can throw curve balls to all and wants to do what she can to help you from where you are. Heather helps based on what the client or clients are looking for. She will always have a plan for your sessions, but truly wants her clients to have a voice in how they work through whatever issues are at hand. When Heather is not working, she loves to spend time with her family and friends. She enjoys being outside, road trips, being on the water somewhere, building her faith and finding a good spot to read a book. Heather cannot wait to help you achieve the goals you have and would love to talk with you further about how she can assist you.
Emerson Counseing & Wellness Group
We all carry pieces of our past into the present, our experiences, relationships, losses, strengths, culture, and the ways we learned to cope along the way. I believe we are the sum of those parts, and counseling gives us a place to understand how they shaped who we are today and decide what we want to carry forward. I'm Arcelia Emerson LPC-Associate Supervised by April West LPC-S. My path to becoming a counselor is personal. I’ve been a client myself, and my experience with EMDR showed me how powerful counseling can be. It also taught me what it feels like to sit on the other side of the room, share your story, and do the hard work of healing. That experience continues to shape how I work with my clients, with compassion, curiosity, and authenticity. I see counseling as a partnership. You are the expert on your life, and we work together to understand patterns, build on your strengths, and find tools that make sense for you. My approach is trauma-informed and individualized because I don’t believe counseling should be one-size-fits-all. I draw from Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT), Solution-Focused Therapy, and Motivational Interviewing, along with mindfulness, breathwork, grounding, yoga, Sandtray, and creative approaches. Together, we look at both the mind and body and find what works best for you. I work with all ages experiencing trauma, anxiety, depression, ADHD, grief, relationship concerns, life changes, or simply feeling stuck. Your culture, family, identity, values, and experiences are all part of your story and are welcome in the counseling room. My practice is LGBTQIA+ affirming. You don’t have to know exactly what you need before you begin. We can figure that out together.
