I strive to help individuals struggling with distressing emotions, unhealthy relationships, uncertainty, and the overwhelming demands of life. I see a wide range of clients, including those suffering from anxiety, depression, low motivation, relationship issues, and trauma. In therapy, I will help you to develop an understanding of how past experiences influence your current struggles. As you learn about yourself and the origin of your suffering, you will become more self-aware, fulfilled, and equipped to make positive changes. I trained at UT Southwestern Medical Center at Dallas and have extensive experience in private practice, hospital, and college counseling settings. I seek to establish a supportive, nurturing relationship with clients to facilitate growth and introspection in an environment of compassion, respect, and non-judgmental acceptance. I believe therapy offers a unique experience to learn about yourself, others, and the world. My hope is to join you on a path towards developing a greater sense of wellness and passion that will enrich your relationships, professional endeavors, and personal interests. I sincerely look forward to hearing from you.
Great to meet you! As a Licensed Professional Counselor Supervisor with over 8 years of experience, I am passionate about helping women heal and grow through a holistic, personalized approach. My work integrates experiential techniques, somatic practices, and trauma-informed therapy to help you connect with your mind and body on a deeper level. I specialize in supporting individuals through trauma recovery, utilizing a compassionate and tailored approach that honors each person's unique experience. One of the unique services I offer is Walk & Talk therapy, where we take our sessions outdoors at local parks. This relaxed, natural setting fosters openness and can lead to fresh insights as we talk and move together. Throughout my career, I’ve had the privilege of working in diverse settings, including residential treatment centers, crisis intervention in hospitals, and providing bilingual services to unaccompanied minors. My background also includes providing inpatient mental health counseling, and I hold certification as a Trauma-Focused Cognitive Behavioral Therapist (TF-CBT), specializing in trauma-informed care for children and families affected by abuse and neglect. With my extensive experience and deep commitment to healing, I’m here to help you on your journey toward transformation and personal growth. A bit about my approach to therapy My work is focused on creating a safe, empathetic, and non-judgmental space where clients can explore their emotions, gain self-awareness, and develop practical tools for navigating life’s challenges. Through an integrative approach, I help individuals build resilience, improve emotional regulation, and gain new insights into their personal growth journey. Whether addressing anxiety, stress, or life transitions, I am committed to helping clients find balance and empowerment through therapy that combines both experiential and evidence-based techniques. What you can expect from our first session In our first session, you'll experience a safe and supportive space where we can begin exploring your challenges and goals. I'll provide an overview of how therapy works and the techniques we’ll use, including experiential approaches alongside traditional methods. You'll leave with a clearer sense of direction, a better understanding of how we can collaborate to address your needs, and a feeling of trust and empowerment as we begin this journey together.

If you feel that this is your season for change, I would be honored to collaborate with you on your journey. I believe in providing trauma-informed, person-centered care and specialize in working with clients who deal with ADHD, anxiety, depression, chronic physical health problems, life transitions, relational stress, schizophrenia, schizoaffective disorder, and mood disorders. A bit about my approach to therapy: Because there is no one-size-fits-all in therapy, I use an Eclectic approach, drawing from evidence-based modalities such as Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Interpersonal Therapy (IPT), Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT), and Motivational Interviewing (MI). This allows me to tailor each session to meet your individual needs and preferences. What you can expect from our first session: During our initial session, we will explore what led you to begin therapy and collaborate on how we can meet your goal. In-between sessions, you will have skill-building strategies to use and check-ins during the following sessions to determine effectiveness. We will tailor your journey to promote symptom relief and sustained improvement using emotional regulation and cognitive restructuring.

Many of the students I work with are thoughtful, hardworking, and care deeply about doing well — but inside, they often feel overwhelmed, anxious, stuck, or disconnected. Some are managing big life changes like moving away from home, starting new relationships, or facing academic pressure. Others are dealing with past losses, identity questions, or mental health challenges like depression, anxiety, or self-criticism. If this sounds familiar, you're not alone — and you don't have to figure it out by yourself. I help students untangle complicated emotions, learn practical tools to manage stress, set healthy boundaries, and reconnect with what truly matters to them. Therapy with me is collaborative, down-to-earth, and focused on helping you build a life that feels more authentic, balanced, and meaningful.

Like most of my clients I have my own share of childhood trauma. I’ve had to deconstruct childhood messages of not being good enough. I’ve had to learn to set boundaries and learn that I’m not required to put others' needs above my own. I think learning that I'm loved and worthy, even when other's are angry with me has been the most difficult lesson of all. The very path that many of you are starting out on, I have walked myself. This journey isn't about reliving your worst memories, it's about taking away their power. I’ve worked hard to reclaim my own story, now I want to help you reclaim yours. I specialize in helping those with anxiety and trauma, both in individual and couples counseling. Using the Dialectical Behavioral Therapy, Parts work, and EMDR approaches I help client's find ways to ease the sharp edges of relationships and life. I help find ways to navigate difficulties in life and move with ease and grace. I'm not a passive therapist and I actively work to help build skills you can use every day. I like to use humor, playful sarcasm, and just enough of “tell it like it is” to help you reach your personal summits. I will challenge you to stretch but not break your comfort zones. I will also sometimes be the kick in the pants you need.
