It's wonderful you're taking the step to care for your mental health! I have a heart for college and graduate students and understand the unique stressors of university life, such as academic pressure, social anxieties, and the transition to independence. I am also passionate about helping individuals explore how their cultural and ethnic identities and upbringing interplay with their mental well-being, including the experiences related to cultural identity and navigating multiple cultural spaces. My background as a teacher, HR professional, writer, wife, mother, and therapist has broadened my empathy and understanding of diverse experiences. I graduated with a master's degree in clinical mental health counseling from Northwestern University and am trained in eye movement desensitization and reprocessing (EMDR), a well-researched method for trauma. I offer a collaborative therapeutic approach, and utilize many researched methods tailored to your individual needs. I understand that family history and early relationships can significantly impact mental health, so I often begin by exploring these areas. Together, we'll create a plan to achieve your goals. I enjoy working with adults of all ages, but I have a special fondness of college and graduate students during this unique time of exploration and adjustment. Please reach out, and let's figure things out together!

I take a person centered and solution focused approach to therapy. You are the leader in the process, and I am here as a support and resource. You can book me by clicking on my website.

Do you feel deeply, think a lot, and sometimes wish your brain had an “off” switch? Are you exploring your identity and looking for a space that affirms all of who you are—queer, neurodivergent, artistic, sensitive? Are you going through a big change—like starting college, coming out, or navigating independence—and feeling lost or unsure of your place in the world? Are you drawn to self-growth, even when it feels overwhelming or hard to quiet your inner critic? My practice may be a good fit for you if you're looking to explore these questions. I’ve worked with many individuals to develop therapeutic goals and take meaningful steps toward achieving them. Past clients have reported experiencing less anxiety and depression, developing effective ways to manage and cope with their emotions, and feeling a deeper connection to themselves and others.
Many of the clients I work with feel weighed down by stress, anxiety, or life transitions. As someone raising two college-age children, I understand how change can bring both growth and uncertainty. Life often pulls us in many directions, and it can be hard to slow down and care for ourselves. Together, we take time to explore what feels heavy, build healthier ways to cope, and create a sense of balance, confidence, and peace.
We are a liberation-focused, anti-oppressive group practice offering trauma-informed, relational care for those navigating complex identities, grief, and systemic harm. We hold space for your full humanity, without pathologizing your pain. Our work is grounded in cultural humility, decolonial healing, and collective care. We understand how systems shape mental health. Our team includes clinicians who are immigrants, queer, polyamorous, BIPOC, non-binary, and first-generation college students. We create space for your full self, without judgment or pathologizing your experience.
Do you feel stuck? Are you struggling with your relationships? Does happiness feel out of reach? As your therapist, I want to help you navigate the human experience and find ways to connect with your authentic self so you can be a fuller, freer version of you! We will work together to nurture your strengths and find new ways of being that align with who you want to be and the life you want to lead. I take a flexible, collaborative, person-centered approach and am warm, direct, and realistic. Each client is unique and deserves to be met with compassion and non-judgment. Together, we will sort through ways of relating and coping that no longer work for you. My goal as a therapist is to support and guide you on your journey of healing and growth. I spent 10 years in tech before making the leap and changing careers. I believe that my challenges and life experiences have helped shape me into an effective therapist. My lived experience as a second-generation Korean American helps me bring a culturally sensitive perspective, especially in working with clients seeking to find themselves or integrate various aspects of their identity.
At Mindful Living Therapy, I work with young adults who want to feel a little more like themselves again. Those who are dealing with anxiety, relationship stress, people-pleasing, big life transitions, or that frustrating feeling that something just isn’t right, but you can’t quite put it into words. If you’re feeling overwhelmed, stuck in your head, or just trying to figure out who you are and how you want to show up in your life, I meet you where you are, with compassion, real conversation, and practical help for building a life that feels lighter, more confident, and more you.
I have clinical experience at a large university counseling center in New York, and my time there made me realize how much I like working with college students of all kinds. I specialize in working with individuals experiencing adjustment issues, relationship distress, stress-related problems, trauma effects, depression and mood dysregulation, and life transitions. I emphasize an integrative, eclectic approach to healing and wellness that includes psychodynamic psychotherapy and mind/body awareness. I'll help you explore feelings, sensations, and past experiences, making sense of what we discover and creating the changes necessary for a more vibrant life.
Welcome! Starting therapy is a big step. I understand how overwhelming it can be to experience anxiety, stress, or intrusive thoughts. It takes courage to seek help, and I am so glad you are here! Therapy is most effective when it is tailored to you and uses research-backed treatment. I use evidence-based methods, such as Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT), and Exposure and Response Prevention (ERP). These therapies are supported to alleviate symptoms and empower you to reclaim your life—returning to activities that anxiety may have previously taken you away from.
There ISN’T anything “wrong” with you, you are human and you have lived experiences, some harder than others, but that is where working together to understand those parts of yourself can help! Life can be unpredictable, and at times, deeply challenging. But within each of us lies a quiet strength — Resilience. It's not about avoiding struggle, but about finding the courage to face it, adapt, and grow. In this space, we honor your story, your challenges, and your capacity to heal. Whether you're just beginning your journey or continuing along the path, we're here to walk with you — helping you reconnect with your resilience, one step at a time. At the heart of this work is a deep commitment to equity, justice, and collective healing. This is a space where all identities are seen, respected, and celebrated — where your full humanity is never up for debate. I practice from an anti-racist, LGBTQIA+ affirming, and decolonized lens, acknowledging the ways systemic oppression, intergenerational trauma, and cultural erasure impact our mental, emotional, and spiritual well-being. Healing does not happen in isolation — it happens in relationship, in context, and in community.
