I’m Heather Wyatte. I help individuals, couples, and families learn to manage conflict and life’s stressors by better understanding each others’ needs. Life can feel hard if you are experiencing personal challenges, addictions, complicated issues, or adjusting to new life stages or changes. Managing relationships and effectively communicating with partners or family members can feel even harder during those times. But don’t fret, it can be easier to talk about the hard things when there is a mediator present and you are given tools to help. That is what Whole Family Therapy specializes in.

My name is Kaylee Van Gent, I am a Licensed Associate Professional Counselor (LAPC) providing psychotherapy services virtually in Pennsylvania. I have over 4 years of clinical experience across outpatient, residential, and school-based settings. In my clinical work, I often partner with clients experiencing anxiety, obsessive-compulsive disorder (OCD), depression, trauma, and identity and adjustment issues. While I see many different clients, I specialize in working with LGBTQ+ clients, those who are navigating complex trauma, and those who have experienced religious/spiritual abuse or manipulation. I work with older adolescents, adults, and older adults. Therapy with me is grounded in deep empathy, creativity, curiosity, and a belief that meaningful change happens through safe, collaborative relationships. My goal is to help clients build insight, develop effective coping strategies, and move toward meaningful, values-aligned change. Alongside my clinical work, I am also a doctoral student in the Counselor Education and Supervision program at Pennsylvania State University where I am pursuing research interests of social justice and systemic change in counseling and religious/spiritual abuse. Through teaching, research, and practice, I value providing therapy that is affirming, trauma-informed, and responsive to each client’s unique culture, context, and experiences. Outside of work, I am a curious, playful, and nature-loving person. I love hiking with my partner, reading, and having a good laugh.

Psychotherapy that helps to bring about transformation will offer insights into the deeper motivations that lie outside of our conscious awareness in everyday encounters. Circle Counseling seeks to provide, through the therapeutic relationships formed between our clients and counselors, the opportunity for the client to risk new ways of relating and being in the world. Each client comes with unique strengths and unique hurts that, when fully explored, will bring to light new, more healthy ways of thinking, feeling, and acting in the world. The truth about ourselves is sometimes hard to see, hard to understand, and hard to admit, but in therapy these hard realities can be looked at within the safety of a caring, professional relationship. Let the truth set you free in new ways. Deepen your spirit and find new joy. We have 15 therapists ready to provide services.

Anxiety, depression, and unresolved trauma have held you back too long. You want to thrive, to feel like life is moving in a positive direction, that you have a purpose and that you’re no longer cycling through patterns that have only caused you more pain. You’re tired of feeling like you are going around in circles, feeling “stuck” but you're not exactly sure why. Maybe you can’t remember the last time you weren’t feeling anxious, exhausted, or doubting yourself. You’re curious about what a life full of intention, joy, and peace could be like but aren’t sure how to get there. I hear you; it’s time for a change. Clients come to me for compassionate, nonjudgmental support. With a gentle, trauma-informed approach, we’ll uncover your strengths and shift your life/relationships in ways that feel more authentic. You can feel safe to explore the areas in your life that could be better, and I’ll help you develop the mindfulness, awareness and skills you need to get there. As a therapist specializing in trauma modalities such as EMDR (Eye Movement Desensitization Reprocessing) and Cognitive Processing Therapy (CPT), I’ll help you feel secure enough to explore the root of any suffering, and capable enough to find the freedom that awaits you on the other side.

Out of the office until September 28, 2026! No one else knows your life story and background like you. I aim to provide a safe, inclusive space where you feel seen, heard, and understood, which is needed for effective therapy. As a culturally sensitive and social-justice oriented therapist, I'm collaborative and honor your expertise. I'm an integrative, client-centered practitioner who customizes my therapeutic approach based on my clients' needs and concerns. My therapeutic style works best for people who are highly motivated to learn about themselves, ways they’ve learned to survive adversity, and new ways of understanding their lived experience. It’s an honor to serve my clients in therapy. After completing my predoctoral internship and postdoctoral fellowship at Penn State Counseling and Psychological Services, I became specialized in working with young adults experiencing grief, life transitions, anxiety, low self-esteem, perfectionism, and exploration of neurodivergent identities (autism, ADHD, giftedness, learning disability). I commend you for taking time to search for a therapist who meets your needs. Reaching out to begin therapy is one of the hardest parts of the process. There is no "right time" to start therapy, and I am ready to meet you where you are on your journey. Please feel free to call or email me to inquire about therapy with me. I look forward to hearing from you!

At CenteredMind Online, I specialize in working with students who are feeling overwhelmed, anxious, or emotionally drained, and are ready to feel more balanced and in control of their lives. Many of the clients I work with are juggling academic pressures, relationships, and personal expectations, often while hiding how stressed or stuck they feel. On the outside, they may seem high-functioning, but internally they’re quietly struggling with anxiety, depression, ADHD, or sleep issues. If you’ve been finding it harder to focus, stay motivated, or feel rested, no matter how hard you try, you’re not alone, and you don’t have to figure it out on your own. That’s where I come in. I provide a calm, nonjudgmental space where you can feel heard and understood, and your mental health is finally a priority. Whether you’re struggling with anxiety, panic attacks, depression, or simply feeling unmotivated or disconnected, we’ll work together to find a clear path forward. My approach is compassionate, and focused on helping you feel more grounded, and more like yourself again. I offer both medication management and supportive therapy, tailored to your individual needs. Together, we’ll look at what’s getting in your way and build a plan to help you move forward with solutions to help you feel more balanced and centered. CenteredMind Online is a fully virtual psychiatric practice, so you can meet with me from the comfort and privacy of your own space. I offer flexible scheduling, including evenings and weekends, to make care more accessible. No commuting. No waiting rooms. Just real support when you need it most. People seek therapy for a variety of reasons. Though the process of therapy can be difficult, I bring an accepting and compassionate mindset to our relationship that will help you feel comfortable in session and leave therapy feeling more satisfied, skillful, and empowered. I typically work with college students, adults, and older adolescents. I primarily work from cognitive-behavioral therapy (CBT) and dialectical behavior therapy (DBT) perspectives. I also integrate components of other orientations where helpful and tailor my therapeutic approach to the individual characteristics and needs of each client. The majority of my training has been in college counseling and community mental health. My areas of interest and expertise include trauma, OCD, social anxiety, specific phobia, panic disorder, emotion dysregulation, issues of overcontrol, nonsuicidal self-injury, depression, and LGBTQ+ issues. I look forward to meeting you and beginning our work together!

Grief comes in many forms. We can grieve the loss of a person, a relationship, a community, a job, or an identity. Grief is a natural response to all kinds of loss - changing relationships, going to a new school, moving to a new city, or feeling really worried about the state of the world. We can also grieve the loss of a vision or expectation for the future. Many are struggling with the state of the world while also managing their own stress, anxiety, and sadness. This can feel overwhelming and isolating. The emotions of grief often feel uncomfortable, so we can feel tempted to skip over them and try to move to the next phase. But unprocessed emotions cause us a lot more trouble. You can find meaning and balance in your life, even when the demands feel overwhelming. I will process with you and support you when changes are needed for better coping. I understand that times are tough, and you might feel helpless right now. Let’s work together to help you live and work more effectively. Therapy will help you talk through your struggles, remember your strengths, and develop strategies to cope with life changes, grief, loss, and anxiety. You really can feel better, and you don't have to do this alone.

Our ideal client is someone who feels overwhelmed, stuck, or worn down by anxiety, stress, grief, trauma, or major life changes. They want to feel understood, supported, and hopeful again. They’re seeking a safe, welcoming space—either in person or online—where they can be themselves without judgment. Their goal is not just to cope, but to grow: to build confidence, find clarity, and reconnect with their strengths. They want meaningful change and a therapist who meets them with compassion, skill, and genuine care.

Finding a good therapy match is crucial to bringing about the change that you desire in your life. Working with someone where you feel seen, understood and challenged in a non-threatening way creates the safety to explore the unknown and grow into your full potential. I have been in private practice for 16 years and I trained and worked at Tufts University Counseling Center for 4 years. In the wise words of author Sharon Salzberg, "If I opened my heart and mind big enough to take in the suffering, then there would be healing- not because the suffering itself is redemptive or healing, but because of the opening I was cultivating in the face of it."

I work best with students who may seem like they have it together but feel anxious, overwhelmed, or exhausted underneath. You might overthink everything, put pressure on yourself, try to keep everyone happy, or feel responsible for holding it all together. Many of my clients are navigating trauma, complicated family relationships, grief, identity, or major life changes. I especially enjoy working with LGBTQIA+ and neurodivergent students, creatives, caregivers, and people who are used to being the strong one. You do not need to know exactly what is wrong or where to begin. We can figure that out together.

My clinical interests include ADHD and executive functioning, forensic concerns, problematic sexual behaviors, self-esteem and empowerment, parenting adjustment, interpersonal and relationship difficulties, emotional regulation, boundary development, and maladaptive or abusive behavioral patterns. I work with individuals seeking greater insight into their thoughts, emotions, and behaviors while developing healthier coping strategies, interpersonal skills, and patterns of functioning. My approach combines practical tools with a collaborative, interactive space focused on connection and healthier relationships. I offer direct feedback, meaningful conversation, and active support while meeting clients where they are. I use humor when appropriate and strive to help clients feel understood, comfortable, and motivated for meaningful change. I have over 13 years of experience working with adolescents and adults in school based, home based, outpatient, IOP, MST, and partial hospitalization settings. I have also worked with juvenile probation and men in a state prison for six years, addressing sexual and violent offenses, domestic abuse, substance use, antisocial and high risk behaviors. I am open and affirming of individuals of every background, race, ethnicity, religion, sexual orientation, and gender identity.
