I am a licensed clinical social worker with over a decade of experience working with adolescents and adults. I have extensive experience with survivors of trauma, and often use a trauma-informed lens. I focus on issues that impact the life cycle, including relationship stressors, parenting challenges, career choices, managing the effects of chronic illness, and dealing with aging parents. In addition, I am skilled at helping clients and families deal with end of life issues, grief and bereavement. I specialize in the treatment of anxiety, depression and post traumatic stress disorder. I believe the connection between the therapist and the client is paramount, and I work hard to build a therapeutic alliance with my clients by always meeting them where they are emotionally, spiritually and cognitively. I am direct and supportive at the same time, and believe strongly in people's ability to change their lives. It is a privilege to share space with a client when they are experiencing challenges, and I often tell my clients that I will hold the hope for them until they are able to do so themselves. Please reach out if you think we might work well together.
As a LCSW practicing for over a decade, I utilize a client-centered approach to help my clients gain the belief in themselves to overcome whatever they may be struggling with. I have a strong background in working with adult clients that struggle with a variety of anxiety disorders, OCD, and relationship issues. Additionally, I have significant training and ongoing supervision in Somatic Intervention.
We are all hard-wired to feel and to connect to others, yet so many of us are scared of our feelings. We are afraid of being overwhelmed by them and of being dismissed or ignored by others if we share them. It is our fear of feeling and fear of revealing that causes us to experience symptoms of distress and disconnection from ourselves and from each other. In our sessions and through the psychotherapeutic model of AEDP, we focus on getting past this fear in order to fully embrace our feelings. Our work together is not about you simply retelling your story; it's about you embracing and sharing the emotions that come up as you tell it. By learning to be authentic and transparent with your feelings, you will feel calmer and more confident while experiencing deeper connections. Ultimately, your true self will emerge.
Is now the time for change? Do you have goals but aren’t sure how to achieve them or even set them? Has life thrown you some curveballs lately? You are in the right place. I commend you for taking the first step on the path to a better you. You deserve to be the best version of yourself and you are already taking the first step in self care by being here. Investing in yourself is the very best investment you can make. As a therapist, I have the wonderful opportunity to support you on your path to becoming the best version of you. In my career and life I have experienced the difficulty in trying to balance it all and found that it’s not easy. We often put ourselves on the back burner while taking care of everything and everyone else. I look forward to helping you prioritize, set boundaries, and find happiness for you. We are a good team if you are ready to make the time to evaluate your life, adjust your goals and gain confidence in putting yourself first.

Hi! I am so happy you’re here. Trauma and anxiety can have a huge impact on our bodies, thought patterns, relationships, and so much more. Maybe you find yourself feeling overwhelmed, lost in thought, thinking of the worst-case scenarios, and avoiding tasks or responsibilities. You want to support yourself through this and you’re ready to feel connected to your body, trust yourself, speak your truth, and show up in the world aligned, authentically and connected. Working with me involves a body focused approach. You will better understand what your body is communicating to you and gently release what the body is storing from past experiences. This process is collaborative and is about you feeling safe, valued, and heard. I’m experienced supporting clients bridge the gap between their mind and body. As a certified breathwork and energy healing I offer more than just a space for talking. Our time together will incorporate a holistic and integrative approach. I’d love to connect with you over a 15 minute complimentary phone consultation.
I work hard to create a safe and inviting space for my clients to work on whichever problems they choose to bring into their sessions. My approach reflects my empathic, nonjudgmental, and compassionate style. I believe that the therapeutic relationship is one of the most important factors in treatment, as I believe that healing happens when there is a strong therapeutic alliance. I collaborate with and empower my clients to harness or reclaim their inner strength and power. I have experience working with clients who struggle with anxiety, depression, relationship stressors, work/life stress, life transitions, and trauma.
I have experience working with students experiencing burnout, imposter syndrome, and overwhelm in their academic, professional, and personal lives. I enjoy working with students who are self aware and may be intellectualizing their emotions and experiences. Anyone looking to take their healing a step further and deeper into their physical body rather than just the cognitive work is someone I’d be excited to connect with.

Welcome to Tona Therapy, a New York-based, virtual clinic, where we believe in the transformative power of warmth and healing. At Tona Therapy, we aim to create a nurturing and supportive environment where individuals can find Transformation, Openness, New beginnings, and Acceptance. Our dedicated team of therapists provides personalized services to help you navigate life's challenges. We offer a confidential and safe space for exploring emotions, healing past traumas, and discovering new paths towards growth and fulfillment.
Hello and welcome! I am a psychotherapist licensed in New York and Massachusetts with over ten years of experience in NYC. I graduated with my Masters in Social Work from New York University and Bachelors in Psychology from The New School. As a therapist specializing in psychodynamic therapy, I provide a warm and nonjudgmental space where you can explore your thoughts, emotions, and past experiences openly to gain a deeper understanding of your inner world. Speaking freely in therapy fosters an environment where new thoughts can emerge, leading to transformative change and personal growth. I have experience supporting clients through a wide range of issues, including depression, grief, self-esteem, trauma, anxiety, OCD, relationship dynamics, and life transitions. I take an integrative and personalized approach. I believe a positive and supportive relationship with a therapist can help us gain insight, develop self-compassion, and navigate the challenges of life. I provide in-depth talk therapy and integrate techniques from cognitive behavioral therapy, acceptance and commitment therapy, and mindfulness practices. I am currently pursuing post-graduate clinical training in Psychoanalysis. During our initial consultation, I will guide you through the process and discuss your hopes for therapy. My goal is to support you in creating an enriching and fulfilling life based on your values. I am a trauma-informed, social justice oriented, and LGBTQIA+ affirming provider.

You might be the one others rely on—the one who seems fine—but inside, you’re anxious, overwhelmed, or creatively blocked. Whether you’re focused on academics, the arts, or both, therapy with me can help you sort through what’s been weighing on you and why things don’t feel as manageable as they used to. I’m a licensed clinical social worker with 18 years of experience, and I’ve partnered with Headway to accept in-network insurance and make therapy more accessible for undergraduate, graduate, and professional students. I offer a space to slow down, feel understood, and sort through the thoughts, emotions, and stress that are getting harder to carry. I help students navigate anxiety, academic pressure, self-esteem challenges, and the weight of expectations. I also have a deep appreciation for working with creative students—artists, performers, writers, and others—who may feel blocked, overwhelmed, or disconnected from their work. My approach is grounded, collaborative, and attuned to the emotional layers that shape how you show up—in school, in your work, and in your life.
I believe who you are matters. You’re a deep feeler, a critical thinker, & someone who’s carried a lot for a long time. Perhaps you are the “black sheep”, someone who has felt unseen, unheard, or unworthy for most of your life. You’ve learned how to keep going, but lately, you’re exhausted. You’re realizing that surviving isn’t enough anymore. You might be navigating anxiety, burnout, dissociation, grief, identity transitions, or complex trauma. You may feel stuck in cycles of self-abandonment, masking, or perfectionism. You want to feel safe in your body, connected to your truth, & be free to live more fully - not just function. You’re looking for a therapist who is trauma-informed, LGBTQ+ affirming, and deeply attuned to the realities of navigating systems that weren’t built for you. You want support that’s holistic, anti-oppressive, and rooted in nervous system regulation, attachment work, and deep respect for your autonomy. I work from a trauma-informed, shame-sensitive, and strengths-based lens. I draw on your values, your lived experiences, and your inner resilience to co-create a path toward healing. I help clients break out of survival mode, heal from internalized shame and systemic harm, and reconnect with a sense of safety, authenticity, and agency.
