More beneficial than any technique offered during treatment is finding the right person to work with. You will find me to be insightful, genuine and completely with you while in session. I work to create a calm, safe, trusting environment so that true growth can occur. I focus not only on alleviating symptoms, but strive to find the core issue(s) causing the symptoms so that growth is lasting. I recognize each person and situation is unique and tailor therapy accordingly. My background encompasses more than academic and office-based therapy. For over 20 years I have worked with people from varying backgrounds in schools, camps, businesses and the medical field. This experience has allowed me to develop a unique and effective form of therapy my clients can understand and apply in their every day lives.

Hi, I'm Lisa Grine, MSN, APN, PMHNP-BC Psychiatric Nurse Practitioner for College Students What Students Say About Me "Great listener, knowledgeable, and kind-hearted." Years of Experience 10 years+ My Approach I'm both warm and direct—able to match whatever you need in that moment. Sometimes that means sitting with you quietly and listening. Other times it means telling you what I see, even when it's hard to hear. Our sessions are structured conversations, not free-flowing chats. I believe that clarity helps. What I Work With Most • Anxiety, mood concerns,(mental health during prenatal, during pregnancy, and postpartum needs), and depression to name a few • High-achieving students experiencing burnout and life transitions • Young adults-both undergrad and graduate students How I Work Often, college students feel forced to choose between success and wellbeing — but together, we can find a way to balance both! I take a holistic approach to care, which means looking at the whole person, not just symptoms. And let's be honest, it's no surprise that college life can throw our health off track — skipping fresh air, surviving on less-than-ideal food, and running on questionable amounts of sleep are basically a rite of passage. Integrative and Holistic care also means honoring your religious beliefs, ethics, morals, and value systems, because those things genuinely shape who you are. I offer medications when clinically appropriate, but my focus goes far beyond that. Having worked in both inpatient and outpatient settings, I understand the intensity of acute care as well as the importance of building sustainable, everyday coping strategies that actually fit your life. Who I'm Best Suited For I tend to connect well with women, men, and provide mental health support for women who are pregnant, peri/postpartum. I am strictly telehealth and so if someone needs a stimulant or controlled substance I can recommend providers who are in person or hybrid to match those needs based on current laws and restrictions. I'm upfront about this because I believe matching matters. If you are in any acute danger please seek emergency care first as this practice is outpatient. If you're looking for a provider who shares certain values or experiences, that can make a difference in how comfortable you feel.

I love working with people who feel drawn to explore their inner world, who sense there’s something meaningful waiting to be discovered but aren’t sure where to start. They long to feel more connected to themselves and others, and are looking for gentle guidance to help them get there. They want to understand the heart of what keeps them stuck in old patterns and finally feel the freedom of being their true selves. My counseling approach is primarily influenced by gestalt, psychodynamic, and mindfulness-based therapy, as well as inner child work and the expressive arts. I believe that living with greater authenticity and wholeness starts with noticing and honoring all parts of ourselves, and taking loving actions that support our body, heart, and mind. When we do that, life begins to feel a little easier. We become less reactive, our relationships grow healthier, and we can meet challenges with more clarity and resilience. None of us are meant to walk this path alone. Having someone beside you who truly understands your struggles and believes in your capacity to grow can make all the difference. My own recovery journey, along with my education, training, and years of working with those navigating mental health challenges and addiction, allows me to meet clients with both skill and heartfelt understanding. Whether you are just beginning or well along your path, I am here to support you in moving toward a more whole and integrated life.

I’m a Clinical Psychologist (board certified in Group Psychology), and I work with college and graduate students who want to understand themselves better and feel more at ease in their lives and relationships. In therapy, I offer a space to slow down, reflect, and make sense of what’s happening—whether it’s stress, anxiety, relationships, identity, motivation, or big transitions. My approach is psychoanalytic and relational, which means we pay attention not just to symptoms, but to the deeper patterns and experiences that shape how you think and feel.

I know from personal times as a student that college and graduate school can be overwhelming, exciting and a wave of emotions and situations through the years. Together we discuss, process and work on a variety of topics related to adjustments in life, anxiety, depression, trauma, eating related issued and body image, self-esteem, substance use, issues involving sports teams, Greek life related to sororities and fraternities, health issues, and many different relationship issues. I operate from a nonjudgmental, open and honest place drawing on a variety of therapeutic modalities. I am inspired when I see college-age men and women who are searching for emotional, financial, and intellectual independence. College can be a challenging time of finding identity and intimacy and I assist by helping clarify college relationships. Having gone to college and raising four children, I understand many things about the stages of early adulthood. I offer a safe space to process different parts that may be confusing in order to safely integrate all facets of personality and enhance congruence, agency, and personal power, enabling young adults to grow up healthy, more swiftly than struggling on their own.

I work from a trauma-informed perspective, and the foundation of my work is grounded in talk therapy, CBT, and ACT. I offer holistic and complementary interventions that will support your overall well-being. Our work can be supported by incorporating somatic practices, when appropriate for you. Our relationship is central to this work and I hold a safe, non-judgmental, and present-moment space for you. I encourage you to let your guard down, and speak from your most authentic self, and I will do the same, so we can truly connect. My main areas of focus are in personal growth and optimal well-being, spirituality in terms of your search to answer those deeper, more meaningful questions in life, and helping you heal from relational wounds such as childhood neglect, psychological abuse, attachment wounds, and relationship conflict. I believe that anxiety, depression, self-criticism, stress, and some physical symptoms are the result of negative relationship experiences. The stories from our past can color our present moment in ways that no longer serve us. In our work together, I will support you as you learn to build trust in yourself, and in others. I know there is a brighter future for you, one that nourishes your soul and where peace comes naturally. I want to help you find it!
