I am a warm, skilled clinician who works with young adults and adolescents. You may be in crisis or wishing you felt better. You'd like to figure out what's in the way and how to move forward. Some of my clients struggle with substance use and are looking for support in abstinence or harm reduction. My clients experience relief as a result of our work addressing stress, challenging transitions, and general feelings of being stuck. I provide highly attuned, effective psychotherapy. I am psychoanalytically trained but integrate practical interventions to improve your daily functioning. The effectiveness of my work with clients has to do with the importance I place on connecting with them, making them feel seen and understood. The therapeutic alliance is everything. Together, we will look for connections between your experiences, feelings, thoughts, and behaviors, to help you move forward with greater ease. Please reach out. I offer a complementary twenty minute phone consultation, and I’d be happy to speak with you.
We offer trauma-focused strengths-based therapy to individuals, caregivers, and families. When working with children, families will be engaged in play therapy sessions to encourage bonding, communication, and growth. With adolescents and adults, using CBT techniques, we will focus on replacing negative thinking with positive self-talk and adapting positive coping mechanisms. Through Somatic Experiencing techniques, we can tap into physical and emotional symptoms associated with trauma -- locked into the body -- and guide you into identifying and utilizing the innate healing capacity in your body.

I specialize in working with individuals who struggle with fear of abandonment, feelings of instability in relationships, and those experiencing intense emotional turbulence. Whether you feel overwhelmed by the intensity of your emotions or find yourself caught in unhealthy relationship patterns, my approach is grounded in empathy, support, and understanding. I help clients navigate these challenges by creating a safe, non-judgmental space where we can explore the roots of your concerns and develop healthier coping strategies. With a background shaped by working around the world, I bring a unique global perspective to my work. Many of my clients come to me feeling alone, misunderstood, or as though their emotional experiences are difficult to express or process. If this resonates with you, know that you're not alone. Together, we can explore these feelings, understand their deeper causes, and work toward emotional clarity and healing.
Helping individuals manage stress, anxiety, relationship issues, family conflict, and traumatic life experiences are some of my areas of expertise. Adding school pressures, deadlines, work, parenting and other responsibilities on top of that can be very overwhelming. Pain and emotions that we have been running from can start to catch up with us, stress and anxiety can climb to a level we have never experienced, and the relationships that we cherish can become strained. As life evolves we can lose the ability to cope the way we once did. When this happens we often need to adjust, understand the deeper source of our struggle and learn new strategies to manage our thoughts and feelings. With over 15 years experience in the mental health field I have helped many people do just that, learn new strategies and better understand themselves so that they can successfully manage life's ups and downs. If you are reading this and find yourself saying, "that's me", give me a call. You don't how to figure this out alone.
