Welcome! I am a licensed psychologist who is passionate about guiding individuals through life’s challenges with compassion and care. My areas of expertise include relationships, anxiety, depression, life transitions, and the profound mind-body connection. In addition, I specialize in psychological evaluations to diagnose ADHD, learning disabilities, autism, and other mental health concerns. By weaving in mindfulness, yoga, and holistic strategies, I help clients unlock their inner balance and healing. Using a tailored approach, I draw from a rich blend of therapeutic techniques, including psychodynamic therapy, cognitive-behavioral therapy (CBT), interpersonal therapy, attachment-based therapy, and mindfulness practices.
Our practice is committed to providing culturally competent services. The guiding principle of our work with patients is to provide a space and to validate the intersection of multiple identities across racial, ethnic, gender, sexual, economic, and spiritual lines. Our therapeutic approach is integrative- meaning we work with you on what your needs are. We utilize tenets of psychodynamic therapy, cognitive behavioral therapy, dialectical behavior therapy, mindfulness-based therapies, coaching, trauma-informed therapy, and culturally sensitive & feminist therapies to develop a treatment plan that aligns with your needs. We work with adolescents, adults, couples, and families.
I take a person-centered approach to therapy. You, the client, are totally in charge of where this journey takes us. I believe that the core of successful therapy is in the bond between client and therapist. As such, I always meet my clients where they are at and work to build a strong relationship through genuine and honest conversations. I am skilled in CBT/DBT, and I hold a certification in Clinical Trauma Treatment (CCTP). Throughout my career, I have worked extensively with adolescents and young adults to build introspection, curiosity, and compassion in order to address their concerns with anxiety, depression, and trauma. Listen, life can get really messy, so let's dig in together. Because you are worthy of growth and change and happiness.

If you have ever said, "I did everything right, how could this have happened?" I'm here for you. I help high achieving, successful people navigate the shock and struggle of major life transitions to regain joy, peace, insight and understanding. With you guiding, we work together to better relationships, improve communication, and heal traumas. Central to my work is for us to have "goodness of fit"; so you feel safe and manifest your best potential. I treat: high stress, loss, grief, transitioning to new situations, and trauma. I'm your GPS system to improved wellness.
Trauma and the destabilizing events of our lives can impact our ability to grow no matter when or how they happen. We can find ourselves in harmful or unmanageable cycles that persist. By creating a safe space to creatively experiment in therapy you can provide yourself with the means and intention to grow. As a Clinician I have worked with clients experiencing addiction, the impact of trauma, and family dysfunction. Perhaps these challenges have led to unhealthy behaviors that don't fit who you are and what you need anymore. Or that you have reached many of your goals but realize the cost has been an internal battle that persists. I am passionate about partnering with my clients to create that safe space and have been inspired by witnessing what happens when it is created. Using a trauma informed lens I offer concrete tools for growth for those experiencing acute symptoms and mindfully move folks into deeper and more intimate somatic and creative interventions when ready.
For oppressed people to intentionally cultivate pleasure is an act of resistance - Ingrid LaFleur. I specialize in providing culturally sensitive, trauma-informed, poly & kink-friendly, and queer-affirming therapy. My journey as a queer, non-monogamous South Asian neurodivergent woman, along with the experiences of those close to me, deeply shape my approach. I draw on my first-hand knowledge of navigating kink/sex-positive environments. It's important to me to approach therapy with a sense of curiosity and openness so that I can better understand and support my clients. I view each individual within the context of their environment, recognizing the complex intersections of their various identities. I rely on evidenced-based methods that consider the impact of trauma and are attuned to diverse cultural perspectives. In my sessions, I strive to create a safe space for clients to rehearse for life outside of therapy. Building an authentic relationship with my clients is my highest priority. Jiddu Krishnamurti said that it is no measure of health to be adjusted to a society that is profoundly sick and I do not see therapy as a way to numb the pain that is caused by systemic oppression but rather a way to empower clients to have compassion for themselves.
I work with my clients on exploring underlying patterns, unresolved conflicts, and deep-seated emotional concerns that have been causing distress in their relationships with themselves and others. With authenticity and compassion, I work collaboratively with my clients through relationship and attachment issues, depression, anxiety, self-doubt, shame, loneliness, and childhood trauma, toward greater clarity and fulfillment. I foster a thoughtful space for navigating life transitions, complex family dynamics, questions of identity and purpose, as well as overall feelings of being stuck or lost. I understand that trust takes time and care to develop. Together, we’ll cultivate a relationship in which you can come to feel safe and free to express what’s troubling you. I’ll help you make better sense of what you’ve been struggling with and why, and support you in tuning into and working toward what well-being might look and feel like for you. Talking together with honesty and curiosity can deepen your understanding of yourself and your experiences and build resilience, which both support authentic, lasting growth. As this process unfolds, it can help you make changes that foster a more integrated sense of self, greater connection in relationships, and a stronger sense of meaning in life. Hey, glad you're here! Being a student is not just about education, is it? We've got lives outside of school, and all those moving parts can get us feeling overwhelmed, going a million miles per hour all the time, burnt out, lost, unmotivated, or even just numb. I work best with clients who are open to feedback, stay consistent in their care, and stay curious to explore different perspectives of their narrative. AKA, all I ask is that you show up to this space that I will prepare for you in which you can be totally you. Without the filters, photoshop, and all the overthinking of what the "right" thing to say is. You don't have to hold onto everything you're going through alone. Let's speak it out and game plan together on a weekly basis. If you feel like you don't even have the language to describe your experience, that's okay! We can build from the ground up. Maybe it'll help to think of it like this: I'm offering therapy like a key to a secret room that no one else has access to but you and I. You can learn and master skills in our therapeutic space, and it won't impact the real world at all because what happens and is heard in here, stays in here. That could look like role-playing a confrontational discussion you might've been avoiding with your roommate or just even saying an insecurity out loud for the first time and reality-checking it. It also just might be practicing how to say 'No' to different people in your life and finally setting boundaries that actually serve you. Then, when you're ready, you take those skills into the real world, and we watch your life change, perhaps slowly, but surely. Therapist shopping can definitely be overwhelming, so I invite you to get to know me through a 10-minute consultation through Zoom. I'll answer any questions, we'll be able to put a face and voice to the name, and you can feel out the overall vibe!
College can be both exciting and overwhelming, a time of exploration, pressure, and major life transitions. I work with students who are learning how to balance it all: academics, relationships, identity, and the uncertainty of what comes next. Whether you’re feeling anxious, stuck, homesick, or unsure about your path, therapy can be a space to slow down, get curious, and reconnect with yourself. I’m currently pursuing my M.A. in Counseling for Mental Health and Wellness at NYU and earned my B.S. from Emerson College. My approach is person-centered and collaborative, guided by your unique strengths, values, and goals. I often draw from Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT), which helps us move through self-doubt, perfectionism, or comparison, and focus on what really matters to you. I especially enjoy working with women, those navigating relationship challenges, stress, or women’s health concerns. My goal is to create a safe, judgment-free space where you can learn to manage difficult emotions, build resilience, and feel more grounded in who you are, both on campus and beyond. Sessions are available in person or virtually. Feel free to reach out by email or phone with any questions or to schedule a free consultation. I have flexible availability.
