My work focuses on supporting college students, graduate students, adults, and professionals dealing with complex trauma/PTSD, anxiety, depression, life transitions, identity development, ADHD, and self-esteem. I have particular expertise in supporting neurodivergent clients, the LGBTQIA+ population, and couples. I take a warm, collaborative approach to identify and resolve patterns that keep you feeling stuck. The foundation of my work is an identity-affirming approach that positions you as the expert of your own experience. Integrating evidence-based treatments like CBT, DBT, and ACT with a humanistic foundation, my approach focuses on creating a supportive space where clients can explore life’s complexities, deepen insight, and work through personal challenges. I aim to be compassionate and practical, helping clients feel understood while also making meaningful progress. It's never too late or too early to get to the life you want. I’m a firm believer that you don’t need to wait until things get really bad to start therapy. If you're a college/graduate student, young adult, or professional experiencing anxiety, depression, life transitions, or trauma, you're not alone! I approach each therapeutic relationship afresh with curiosity about you and your story, and believe that therapy is a space for sharing the load together as things are processed. I integrate evidence-based treatments (i.e., CBT, DBT, and ACT) aimed at empowering you to experience more self-compassion and joy. Through bringing my own authenticity, humor, and quirks to the therapeutic space, I aim to create a validating and open environment for both the small and the bigger steps of healing. It's never too late or too early to get to the life you want. I look forward to getting to know you!

I specialize in guiding identity-based work among college and graduate students, young adults, immigrants, and people of color experiencing anxiety, trauma, life transitions, and family issues. I take a warm, collaborative, and tailored approach that positions you as the expert of your own experience. Working from a multicultural perspective, I encourage client's awareness of their worldview and place within their family and culture. Through this lens, I guide clients in exploring how they navigate changing spaces to create meaningful lives. I believe in the power of narratives, and how they affect the way we view ourselves and understand the world. I value creating a space of positive regard and support, where clients can feel comfortable sharing their stories. It’s never too early or too late to get to the life you want. I look forward to getting to know you!

Life’s challenges often trigger complex emotions. Despite our best efforts to cope, it can be overwhelming to understand what we are feeling and why. My approach is warm, collaborative, and depathologizing, where I hold curiosity about the expansiveness of your lived experiences. I have formal training in relational psychodynamic and emotion-focused therapy that supports meaningful change by attending to unconscious patterns, attachment needs, and ways your body responds to stress. I also adapt elements from CBT, DBT, narrative practices, and expressive arts based on what feels meaningful for you as we meet each session. I work with adults navigating anxiety, OCD, mood disorders, low self-esteem, major life transitions, relational and family conflicts, interpersonal/systemic trauma, and grief. I enjoy working with people from all backgrounds, and invite conversations about identity, privilege, and oppression to explore how social systems have quietly shaped your inner life. As an Indian migrant, I understand the complexity of living between cultures. I am particularly drawn to supporting BIPOC folks, fellow migrants, and second-generation immigrants. Curated with care, I intend to create a space where we can navigate intergenerational dynamics, immigration grief, acculturative stress, and make a home inside and out. I offer services in English and Hindi.

My approach to psychotherapy is person-centered, tailoring the therapy to the unique needs and lived experiences of each client. I draw primarily from psychodynamic therapies, with attention to the neurobiology of trauma and attachment. I also integrate narrative practices to help clients reauthor the stories they tell about their lives, and cognitive-behavioral practices to help transform insight into strategies for change. My style is authentic, non-judgmental, and warm, and I work with clients to enrich therapy with diverse sources of meaning-making, including art, music, film, literature, and world philosophies. I offer individual therapy to adults of any age to address a range of issues, including depression, anxiety, trauma, grief, self-esteem, relationship issues, life transitions, and existential and spiritual issues related to personal values and fulfillment. I also work with clients to address issues related to culture, race, sexuality, gender, and class. In addition to my clinical training, I hold a PhD in philosophy and have a background as a college educator in ethics and social issues. I have a passion for helping clients as they navigate questions related to life meaning, personal identity, and social connectedness, and I aim to empower clients to explore new perspectives about themselves and the world.

I provide psychotherapy to adults, young adults, and students with a variety of issues including trauma, anxiety, life-transitions, relationship issues, and depression. I am a therapist that believes that developing a non-judgmental and client-centered approach to therapy is key to feeling better each day. In therapy, a thoughtful review of stressors, trauma, and relationships helps to build an understanding and context around the client's challenges and informs treatment. Therapy often involves building an understanding of how past relationships and experiences inform and affect our actions and emotions today. We all struggle with things, but in therapy we will work to build a space where we can talk about those things that are harder to talk about in everyday life. I have been working in mental health care for the past 5 years and specialize in addressing trauma and anxiety, the patterns they can create, and how to feel better and make changes that you want. I work to individualize therapy . I understand choosing a therapist is a difficult and important decision. Please feel free to reach out for a free call and ask me any questions that might help you make the right decision for you. I enjoy working with a variety of cultural backgrounds, sexual orientations, ethnicities, and gender identities.

In my experience as a psychotherapist and psychoanalyst, I've heard many times: "I want to be happy, to feel peaceful inside myself, but I can't seem to get there" or "I feel badly telling my friends and family. I don't want to worry them, and I fear they will get tired of listening to me." There are many reasons people feel stuck in their anxiety, depression, eating disorders, body concerns, phase of life issues or relationship problems, and feel immobilized by them. A supportive therapy relationship can help you feel more at peace, happier, and more self-confident. Psychotherapy is a unique, supportive space where you can address your worries, conflicts and hopes without judgment, understand what's holding you back, and move forward towards lasting results and a happier, more fully lived life. I work with people who are described above My office is between Harvard Square and Central Square, on the Red Line. I look forward to speaking with you soon.

I am a Board-Certified, Harvard-trained psychiatrist in private practice in Cambridge, MA. Most of my work is currently with undergraduate students, graduate students, and professionals. My initial consultation typically involves multiple appointments as I gather information about you and your concerns. Then, I discuss pros and cons of potential next steps, and we work together to form a plan. I see most patients for psychotherapy (talk therapy), and some for a combination of psychotherapy and medication management. My practice involves helping people navigate life transitions. Generally, I find that psychotherapy is the most helpful mode of treatment. I typically see patients weekly, and, not infrequently, for multiple visits each week as we begin our work together. I will recommend medication if I think it can be a helpful part of our plan. At this time, I am not able to offer ongoing medication management to new patients who are working with other local psychotherapists and who might wish to seek out my services solely for medication management reasons. I am an in-network provider with BCBS of Massachusetts HMO and PPO plans. I encourage you to contact your insurer directly if you have questions about your specific insurance plan benefits.
