Hey there! Feeling overwhelmed by life, school, or relationships? You’re not alone—and you don’t have to figure it out on your own. College can be an exciting time, but let’s be honest: it can also be a lot. Between juggling classes, friendships, family expectations, and figuring out your future, life can feel downright overwhelming. Maybe you’re dealing with stress or anxiety that won’t let up. Perhaps you’re struggling to manage perfectionism, self-doubt, or feeling stuck in a cycle of procrastination. Whatever brought you here, I want you to know that you’ve taken an incredible first step by exploring support—and I’m here to help. As a therapist, I work with college students like you who are navigating the stress and uncertainty that often comes with this stage of life. Whether you’re trying to balance school and personal life, sort through complicated emotions, or just figure out who you are and what you want, I’m here to offer you a safe, supportive space to unpack it all. What You Can Expect in Therapy Therapy doesn’t have to feel intimidating or clinical—it’s about you. In our sessions, you’ll find a space where you can talk openly about what’s on your mind without fear of judgment. Whether it’s anxiety about grades, relationship struggles, or the pressure to have everything figured out, we’ll work through it together. We’ll explore what’s been holding you back and develop strategies that actually fit into your life. I use evidence-based approaches, mindfulness techniques, and tools for managing stress and anxiety, but I also believe in keeping things real, relatable, and sometimes even lighthearted. Growth doesn’t always have to feel heavy—it’s about learning how to navigate life in a way that feels true to you. Why College Students Choose Therapy Here are just a few of the reasons students come to me for support: Stress & Burnout: College life can feel like one big to-do list. We’ll work on managing your stress and setting boundaries so you can feel more in control. Anxiety & Perfectionism: Always striving for the best? Constantly overthinking? Let’s work together to quiet the pressure and find more balance. Relationships: Whether you’re navigating friendships, dating, or family dynamics, I can help you build stronger, healthier connections. Life Transitions: Moving to a new place, choosing a major, or figuring out what’s next after college? These changes can feel overwhelming, but they’re also opportunities for growth. Self-Discovery: College is a time of exploring who you are. We’ll work on building your confidence, tuning into your values, and creating a vision for your future. A Little About Me I’m Rachel McCrystal, a Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist (LMFT), and I’ve dedicated my career to helping people—just like you—navigate life’s challenges with care and confidence. Outside of therapy, I’m a mother, a military spouse, and a breast cancer survivor, so I deeply understand what it’s like to feel stretched thin and uncertain about the future. My own experiences have taught me how important it is to have someone in your corner—and that’s exactly what I aim to be for you. This Is Your Time I know it can feel scary to take that first step toward therapy, but I promise, it’s worth it. You don’t have to have it all figured out before reaching out—I’ll meet you where you are and walk alongside you as you figure it out. Therapy is about creating space to breathe, reflect, and grow. It’s about learning to trust yourself, embrace your strengths, and navigate challenges with more clarity and resilience. If you’re ready to stop feeling stuck and start moving forward, let’s connect. Your next chapter is waiting, and I’d be honored to be a part of it.
Jackson (Jack) Garner
Do you identify as gender diverse (transgender, non-binary, gender queer, etc)? Are currently questioning or discovering your gender and/or needing a referral letter for medical transition steps? Jack Garner, LCSW is a licensed clinical therapist in the states of Indiana, Kentucky, Tennessee, and Illinois and is a member of WPATH. Their practice is offered online where they provide individual counseling and coaching as well as referral letters for medical transition steps, such as HRT and surgeries (Note, all WPATH referral letters are provided under the informed consent model - meaning NO gate-keeping practices and it takes just one session to obtain your letter). I identify as gender diverse (AFAB, Non-Binary, Transmasc), which allows me to have a unique understanding, both personal and professional, that is not often found in the therapy world. I am passionate about serving our community and understand what it is like to question your gender, experience dysphoria, and take medical transition steps. If you are looking for a therapist who truly understands you and has 'been there' themselves - I am here for you! I look forward to meeting you and will absolutely consider it my honor to assist you in discovering and/or furthering your path to authenticity, wholeness, and joy. Life may seem overwhelming, as if you are alone and no one understands you. Maybe you have an issue with someone, but the thought of conflict makes you shut down and avoid the situation. Perhaps you are anxious or consumed with worry or afraid of disappointing others. I have worked with many patients who struggle to stay connected in relationships or effectively communicate with others. You could struggle with anger issues and use anger to defend and protect yourself from being hurt.

I will provide you a safe and judgement free space in the setting you are most comfortable in. I am laid back and offer individual sessions sprinkled with humor and a smile.

Mental health is vital to our overall well-being. Sometimes having someone to talk to can make all the difference in our ability to cope. It's important to find a therapist that you feel comfortable with and who will help you feel safe in a nonjudgmental environment. Have you ever had difficulty processing a traumatic experience? Sometimes talk therapy alone is not enough, but brainspotting is an effective treatment that can help. Brainspotting uses your eyes to locate the part of your brain where a traumatic experience is stored and reprocess it. I am a Level Two Brainspotting trained therapist. In today's world, it can be difficult to create time to stop and figure out why we are becoming stuck. I will encourage you to pause and use your own inner resources to find a path forward.
Integrated Psychological Center of Indiana
The therapists at IPCI have a passion for working with clients to help them both cope better in the present as well as to explore, and work through, the underlying factors that fuel and perpetuate recurring problems like anxiety, depression, and relationship troubles. Many of our therapists have additional training in trauma work, including EMDR. Dr. Hanzlik is one of the few AASECT-Certified Sex Therapists in Indiana, and has trained other IPCI therapists to provide effective treatment and a specialization in helping patients work through sexual concerns. We also provide psychological evaluation to clarify diagnoses and provide recommendations for accommodations in academic settings.

It can be difficult to find your way amidst uncertainty. It can be easy to become overwhelmed and feel powerless and even hopeless, to lose a sense of purpose and enjoyment. Sometimes you need someone to help you sort these things out and get to the root of a problem so that you can grow beyond it. If I can help you achieve that in any way, then I have succeeded. My primary client focus at this time is young adults in college or trade school, professional women, working moms, and peripartum women.

I work best with individuals who struggle with anxiety or low mood, or feel stuck in habits that no longer serve them. Many of my clients are neurodivergent, late-diagnosed, or highly self-aware but overwhelmed. They’re seeking real tools, not just talk, and want a therapist who’s authentic, supportive, and goal-oriented. If you’re ready to stop people-pleasing, reconnect with yourself, and create a life that feels meaningful, I’d love to work with you.
