Dawn specializes in developmental (what happened to you when you were a kid) and relational (what hurt you in relationships) trauma through the lens of attachment helping you look at your relationships with clear eyes. Often we bring into our relationships ways of being that while helpful when we were younger now may no longer serve us. Therapy can build on the strengths you already have and disrupt those that are no longer useful. In addition to working with trauma Dawn works with individuals to cope with adjustment/life transitions, anxiety, identity concerns and relationship concerns. Dawn utilizes a variety of therapy modalities including: EMDR (Eye Movement Desensitization & Reprocessing), EFIT (Emotion Focused Individual Therapy) IFS (Internal Family Systems)-informed/DNMS (Developmental Needs Meeting Strategy), Mindful Self Compassion and Somatic practices. She comes from a strengths-based, person-centered perspective and will collaborate with you to create a treatment plan that honors all aspects of your identity. Dawn is passionate about working people with marginalized and intersecting identities and strongly believes that the things that make us different are often our super powers. Works with individuals 20+

At Taylor’s Touch of Clarity, we work best with college students who feel overwhelmed, stressed, or uncertain—even if everything looks “fine” on the outside. Many of the students we support are balancing classes, work, family expectations, relationships, and the pressure to figure out their future, all at the same time. You may be experiencing constant stress, anxiety that makes it hard to focus, low confidence, or feeling stuck in your own head. Some students come to us feeling burned out, disconnected, or unsure of who they are becoming. Others are navigating depression, self-esteem challenges, relationship concerns, or major life transitions. If any of this sounds familiar, you’re not alone—and support is available. Our practice is built on creating a safe, non-judgmental space where students can openly talk about what they’re going through without feeling rushed, labeled, or misunderstood. We focus on meeting you where you are and tailoring care to your individual needs, rather than using a one-size-fits-all approach. At Taylor’s Touch of Clarity, counseling is a collaborative process. We believe progress happens best when clients feel heard, respected, and actively involved in their growth. Our clinicians work alongside students to build practical coping skills, increase emotional awareness, and strengthen confidence in both academic and personal areas of life. Using a client-centered and strengths-based approach, we help students identify their values, recognize their strengths, and develop tools to manage stress, anxiety, mood challenges, and relationship concerns. Our goal is not just to help you get through college, but to support you in building skills and self-understanding that will serve you well beyond it.

Currently, my practice focuses on anxiety, depression, substance use, relationships, school stress, trauma, disordered eating, and other health concerns (e.g., sleep problems, adjusting to medical diagnoses, etc.). My primary task as your psychologist is to foster a supportive, collaborative environment where we are able to identify and work towards meaningful goals. In order to accomplish that, I utilize an array of strategies and therapeutic methods that are tailored to your particular presenting concerns. Together, we will collaborate to identify what is causing or perpetuating your distress and come up with strategies to improve your quality of life and help you thrive. Deciding to try therapy is a leap of faith, both in your therapist and also in yourself and your ability to improve your life. Thank you for letting me join you on this journey!

Hi! I’m currently accepting new clients and referrals for teens and adults (13+) who are dealing with anxiety, trauma, depression, low self-esteem, life stress… or just that constant feeling of “wow, this is a lot.” If you’ve ever asked yourself, “why am I like this?” while overthinking a text for 45 minutes, replaying conversations like a highlight reel, or ending up in the same situation with different people—yeah, you’re in the right place. And if childhood experiences are still popping up in your adult life like an uninvited guest who refuses to leave… that’s more common than you think. Therapy with me is a real, no-judgment space where we can unpack what’s going on, connect the dots, and actually start shifting patterns—not just analyzing them at 2 a.m. There’s room for honesty, growth, and some humor along the way (because sometimes your brain really does wake up and choose chaos for no reason). My style is laid-back, supportive, and direct. I take a person-centered approach, so we go at your pace—whether you’re thriving, surviving, or somewhere in between. Whether it’s overthinking, relationship stress, family dynamics, or trying to figure out who you are and what you want (no small task), we’ll work together to help you feel more grounded, confident, and in control. No pressure. No perfection. Just a space where you can show up as you are. Insurance & Payment Options • Self-pay • Blue Cross Blue Shield • Aetna • United Healthcare / Optum

You want to appear like you have it all together, but deep down you feel lost, empty, and like something is missing. You've been working on yourself for years, but you are still anxious, still people pleasing, and still asking yourself “what is wrong with me?” You feel like a chameleon and like people don’t know the real you, even worse-you don’t know the real you anymore. You’re tired of going through the motions of life without actually living it. You know it’s time to change and you’re ready to dive into your darkness to face your demons. You’re ready to do the hard work, but need a guide to show you how. And then you find me! I help introspective women struggling with anxiety and low self-esteem stop people pleasing and finally feel safe enough to be unapologetically themselves—by reconnecting with who they truly are and what they deeply want. Together we explore your inner world & make deep level changes so you can become the person you are meant to be. Clients come to me for a relaxed and comfortable counseling space, shoes are optional! In my office, clients feel safe to take up space and be seen. It’s not too late for you to change your life. You are not too far gone and you’re not too broken. You’re just a mosaic and together we can put those pieces back together so you can increase your self-esteem and be a version of you that you are proud of. Head to my website for more information or to schedule a session. I look forward to connecting with you!

At Oconee Counseling, I specialize in working with college students who are navigating big transitions, anxiety, identity questions, and career uncertainty. Whether you’re feeling stuck, overwhelmed, or just unsure of who you’re becoming, I offer a space to slow down, sort things out, and start making sense of what matters most. My counseling style is warm, collaborative, and tailored to you. I don’t believe in one-size-fits-all therapy—because you’re not a one-size-fits-all person. I’ll help you explore your strengths, your story, and your next steps in a way that feels grounding and real. If you’re someone who thinks deeply, wants to grow, and could use some support figuring out your path, we might be a great fit.

Hello! I am a Licensed Professional Counselor and National Certified Counselor in Georgia. This process of being and becoming that we engage with as humans can simultaneously be both beautiful and incredibly challenging. The decision to take part in therapy can begin a transformative process that allows you to develop greater insight as well as ignite necessary behavioral changes. This can help promote greater well-being, vitality, healing, growth, resiliency, and self-actualization. There is perhaps no greater gift to give yourself than to invest in a process of self-exploration. Such exploration will better enable you to develop a deeper connection with your authentic self so that you may reach your optimal potential. Ultimately, engaging in therapy can be an empowered step toward claiming a life that feels more fulfilling, intentional and aligned with your goals. In turn, there is no greater honor for me than to get to share a part of your journey. I believe therapy to be a collaborative and relational process. You can expecte me to treat you with compassion and respect. I am a licensed psychologist in private practice after working in university counseling centers since 2003. Most recently, I served as the Director of Counseling and Psychological Services at George Washington University since June 2020 after serving as Director of Counseling at Ursinus College since 2013. Prior to that I’ve worked in the counseling centers at Drexel, Columbia and Princeton University after completing my pre-doctoral internship at the counseling center at Johns Hopkins University and receiving my PhD in Counseling Psychology from the University of Georgia in 2010. Prior to that, I earned my bachelor’s degree in psychology from Washington and Lee University and my master’s degree in psychological counseling from Teacher’s College, Columbia University Collectively, these roles allowed me to identify my passion for providing quality mental health services to the adult and young adult population, particularly in helping the undergraduate and graduate students navigate through identity, relational and transitional concerns and stressors. In these roles, I both provided direct therapy to university students as well as oversight for the delivery of counseling services- including staff supervision and management, evaluation and assessment of services and programs, establishing best practices for the centers that met the needs of the campus community and supported student development objectives as well as the academic mission. I most enjoyed working directly with students to address both clinical and developmental issues and frequently experienced that through therapy, they could better realize their potential. I am very excited to be returning to a purely clinical role to dedicate my energy to providing direct therapy. I provide a warm, compassionate, supportive and empowering environment in which I meet individuals where they are and help them to feel seen, heard, and affirmed in order to heal, learn and grow. I believe that each client must be understood as an individual whose sense of self has been informed through many social, cultural and relational interactions.
