Many different disorders can be improved or be eliminated by using neurofeedback. First a QEEG is collected. This involves placing a cap on the client’s head and collecting brain wave information from 19 specific sites. This information is processed, and a brain map is produced. The therapist then evaluates the data, completes a comprehensive health history, and then based on both symptoms and goals, develops an individualized protocol of successive neurotherapy sessions. Treatment is noninvasive, is not painful, but does require a commitment. Just as you must work out your body consistently to see results, neurofeedback sessions must be completed two to three times a week to be beneficial. The neurofeedback treatments involve placing sensors on the scalp. The sensors pick up brainwave signals which are first amplified and then filtered through software that works with a computer to generate real time feedback. The brain activity is either increased or decreased in the identified areas until the optimal balance is achieved The typical treatment plan will vary from individual to individual, but most common disorders can be resolved in about 40 sessions.

I support teen girls, young women, and mothers who are carrying heavy feelings about self-esteem, body image and eating struggles. I also specialize in working with women on their prenatal journey; navigating the big transitions of pregnancy and postpartum. So often, these seasons of life bring up emotions we’re told we shouldn’t have—confusion, doubt, even resentment—right alongside love and joy. My role is to create a space where nothing has to be hidden, and where your whole experience is welcome. If you’re feeling stuck, anxious or overwhelmed, find yourself repeating the same patterns, or are struggling to figure out your identity in a new role or stage of life, you’re not alone. So many of us try to push through without stopping to take care of ourselves. What you’re feeling is exhaustion that is masked as resilience. You deserve a life that feels calm, connected and meaningful. Selah Therapy Studio can help you find your way there. The word Selah means to pause and reflect. In our sessions, you’ll have the space to slow down, explore what’s beneath the surface and move toward balance, empowerment and healing. I work with adolescents, young adults and adults who are experiencing anxiety, past trauma, grief or major life changes. My approach is warm, collaborative and client-centered. Together, we’ll explore how your past experiences - including trauma, family dynamics, or difficult life events - shape the way you view yourself and the world. Your past may shape you, but it doesn’t have to define your future. Healing doesn’t mean erasing the past - it means learning to live fully with it. Together, we can make sense of what has happened in and around your life, so you can create space for change. I welcome you to reach out today for a free consultation to see if this feels like the right fit.

If you are looking to be fixed, you have come to the wrong place. You are a human being longing to be seen and heard, not a problem to be solved. As a queer, Asian (Filipinx) immigrant, I understand the importance of community, advocacy, and finding your voice. Together, we can work to bring awareness to the harmful messages we have come to internalize and the systems of oppression that inform the ways in which we take up space. If you are seeking justice & compassion for inner child you, as well as meaning and belonging for present you - I eagerly invite and welcome you in. I specialize in working with QTBIPOC+ college students, adults, and couples on issues of Intersectionality, Identity, Intergenerational Trauma, Social Justice, Interpersonal Skills, and Self-Compassion Work, among others. Human connection is everything - let's make room for your lived experiences, hopes, and dreams; your mere existence is an act of rebellion When working with me, I want you to feel like you have complete ownership of your personal narrative. I believe that there is so much power to be found within the therapeutic relationship. When there is mutual trust, respect, and authenticity in the room, we can start to effect healing. I see you for all that you are, and all that you still hope to be.
Are you a neurodivergent person who… Feels like you are constantly masking in order to fit in and feel burnt out from doing so? Struggles with communicating your needs which results in frequent misunderstandings and frustration with other people? Finds yourself in a persistent state of sensory overload which makes everyday tasks feel overwhelming and insurmountable? Feels isolated and alone in your experiences? My passion is helping neurodivergent people be their authentic selves and live a life that is fulfilling and meaningful to them. As a New Yorker living in Colorado, I am warm and outgoing with a no BS attitude. I am a licensed clinical social worker who has over 11 years of experience working with neurodivergent people including autistic humans and ADHDers. I also love working with fellow therapists and others in the helping profession like professors, healthcare professionals, teachers, and the like. My approach is curious, compassionate, humorous, and direct. I strive to ensure that you feel heard, understood and supported. I also believe that you deserve guidance that is free of fluff and that you received concrete next steps for your future endeavors.
I believe in a therapeutic process that is collaborative and flexible — meeting my clients where they are to foster meaningful growth and change. I approach therapy with warmth, compassion, and honest reflection to create a non-judgmental space for self-exploration. I am passionate about working with individuals who are experiencing emotional struggles, low self-esteem, transitional issues, and attachment injuries. My aim is to collaboratively help you understand patterns in which you feel stuck, find relief from narratives that are no longer yours, and learn how to move towards your goals. I am a graduate of Columbia’s School of Social Work and have training in Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT) and Emotion Focused Family Therapy (EFFT). I am intensively trained in working with body image issues and disordered eating. My style is warm, genuine, and non-judgmental while providing transparent feedback throughout the therapeutic process to maximize emotional growth and healing. I work as a supportive and collaborative partner with each of my clients to find and achieve long-term solutions.
