I am a practicum intern therapist offering somatic, person-centered therapy for adults navigating life transitions, relationship challenges and identity shifts. I am especially passionate about helping women traverse the emotional landscape of midlife, menopause, and perimenopause. My approach to therapy is grounded, intuitive, and deeply relational. I create a warm, attuned space where you feel supported in exploring who you are and where you want to go. I believe that change feeds the soul—and that healing begins when we meet ourselves with compassion, curiosity and courage. Before entering the field of psychotherapy, I was a professional musician and integrative somatic coach. My background in music and coaching informs my ability to listen deeply, connect through presence, and help you attune to the rhythms of your own inner experience. In addition to completing my Master's in Clinical Counseling at Adams State University, I am currently pursuing certification as a Somatic Experiencing Practitioner through Somatic Experiencing International. I offer therapy in person in Boulder and online throughout Colorado under the supervision of licensed clinicians at Thrive Psychotherapy.

Feeling overwhelmed, behind, anxious, unsure, or like you’re constantly juggling too much? College can bring intense pressure to perform, stay productive, and have a plan—often while managing relationships, family expectations, finances, and questions about who you’re becoming. Even when things are going well academically or socially, many students carry a quiet sense of stress, self-doubt, or disconnection that’s hard to put into words. College is often referred to as the “best years of your life,” yet it’s also a time of major transition and identity formation. You may be making important decisions about your future while still figuring out what you value, what you want, and how to trust yourself. It’s common to feel stuck, anxious, or alone during this period—especially when it seems like everyone else is more confident or has things figured out. How We’ll Work Together I pay close attention to the tension many young adults feel between the part of them seeking stability and the part longing for meaning. It’s common to feel torn between wanting security—a solid job, steady relationships, a clear plan—and wanting a life that feels authentic, purposeful, and alive. In our work, we’ll explore this inner conflict with curiosity rather than judgment and find a way forward that integrates both of these core desires. Many young adults also carry a quiet sense of “I should be further along by now,” shaped by family expectations, social comparison, and cultural pressure. Together, we’ll slow down these narratives and build a relationship to yourself that’s based on honesty, compassion, and your actual needs—not someone else’s timeline. We’ll explore patterns in your relationships, clarify your values, likes, and dislikes, and build skills that help you move through the world with more confidence and ease. Therapy becomes a place to practice new ways of relating: setting boundaries, being more authentic, understanding your emotional patterns, and building healthier relationships. We’ll look at where your values, instincts, and longings are trying to guide you, and how to make choices that align with who you’re becoming.

Many of my clients carry deep exhaustion from masking, overextending, or abandoning themselves to fit in. My work centers on creating belonging, restoring self-trust, and honoring sensitivity as a gift - not a problem to solve.

Along with individual therapy my practice offers a Young Adult Therapy Group. I co-facilitate the young adult group with Marian Salley. We have been running this group for over 3 years, some of the members have been with us since the beginning. Group members are from all over and the group is ONLINE. Think of the members of this group as a party of adventurers, who get to know each other through time spent together, by sharing the emotionally relevant events from their own lives and the interactions that evolve between them within the group. A group of familiars they can take with them thru the various transitions in their lives. Overtime members witness each other’s ups and downs and become known to each other through the experience of sharing their lives, feelings and responding to how they effect one another in the here and now. This is an excellent group for young adults who are looking for a social space to explore emotional experiences, social anxieties, interpersonal relationships and whatever might come in a group of peers. If you are interested go to my website and look under therapy groups.

I provide a safe space in therapy for you to show up fully, just as you are. I support you in creating space to dismantle the various known and unknown obstacles blocking you from embodying your TRUE self. In my free time, I loves to engage in her local community of the North Fork Valley located in Paonia, CO on the Western Slope. Over the last decade, I have dedicated volunteer hours at the Sexual Assault Victim Advocacy Center educating youth in prevention, as a National Forest winter & summer ranger, and as a Search & Rescue member. Since 2017, I have been actively educating myself and others in racial justice education and is committed to further developing my own understanding of internal-racial bias and translating this into advocacy work. I was raised in a commune-style farm setting in rural Pennsylvania, and earned my BA from Middlebury College and then my MA in counseling psychology from Lesley College. I am currently pursuing her certificate in Modern Psychoanalysis at the Academy for Clinical and Applied Psychoanalysis in Livingston, NJ. I am a mother of three and a longtime practitioner of yoga, meditation, and Jin Shin Jyutsu (Japanese acupressure). These practices inform my interest in the well-being of the whole person. I provide a safe and comfortable space where you can explore the parts of your life that you value and also the parts you may want to change. My approach is to cultivate a sense of curiosity and kindness while supporting you in saying whatever is on your mind. As we put our thoughts and feelings into words, we tend to grow more comfortable in ourselves, even in the midst of discomfort. We may find ourselves in more positive relationships at home, at school, and at work. We may find more clarity about how we want to live our lives. Whether in person or online, I see the therapeutic process as a catalyst for reflection, exploration, self-understanding, and personal growth. Together, we will work to understand the richness of who you are and resolve whatever is getting in the way of achieving your personal and professional goals.

My work rests on a profound respect for the human capacity to change as well as a deep appreciation of the impact of emotional pain on the process of living. This perspective emerged from my 25+ years in practice, my formal training, my work at psychiatric hospitals and other facilities, my experience as a supervisor and a teacher, and a life lived as a member of the human species. Although my approach depends on the needs of each individual, I believe the relationship between therapist and client is the foundation for psychotherapy and a window into the client's other relationships, both historical and contemporary. I adopt a collaborative approach to create a safe space in which there is respect for the ways in which individuals have learned to cope with traumatic and painful experiences. Rather than pathologize these currently anachronistic survival strategies, I help clients understand them as creative attempts to cope that may have outlived their usefulness. believe that choosing the right therapist is more than just a matter of credentials and experience. I believe it involves finding someone with whom you have the right "fit." For this reason, I offer initial appointments that are free of charge if you decide not to work with me. I welcome your inquiries.

I believe that what many of us desire most is a richness of connection - to ourselves, the ones we love, and the natural world around us. In my own experience, therapy offered a path forward, helping me cultivate a secure attachment within myself during a time that felt totally chaotic. Healing took place through being in the presence of a warm and compassionate guide, who could shine a light for me on possibility when I felt stuck in my same patterns. Many of my clients are seeking this: a guided opportunity to embrace their Whole Self so that they can find more presence, meaning and joy in their relationships and in their lives. My approach is collaborative and personalized, drawing upon my training in Gestalt Therapy, Emotionally Focused Therapy (EFT) for Couples, Internal Family Systems (IFS) and mindfulness-based modalities. I also enjoy working with the Enneagram, which can serve as a powerful tool for spiritual and relational development. I believe that self inquiry and transformation is a patient process that requires courage, tenderness, honesty, and oftentimes a sense of humor. What I offer is more than a 60 minute session, but an invitation to step into a new way of being inside and outside of our time together. Want to chat more? I offer 20-minute complimentary consultation calls.
