The Kairos Wellness Collective is committed to delivering quality holistic care for clients experiencing, but not limited to, OCD and Anxiety. The Kairos Wellness Collective believes in treating the whole person --- mind, body, and spirit. OCD and Anxiety Disorders have magnified in our community since our small city has been stressed by the pandemic, the fires, and King Soopers shootings. Each client has their own unique struggles and a distinct road to recovery. Rather than ask our clients to bounce around individual offices for their care, our center aims to bring practitioners together in a holistic space that both honors client confidentiality but also streamlines communication between practitioners by using shared health records software. Client care specialists take baseline assessments of OCD upon intake into the collective, and every two months, our specialists will continue to assess measurable progress in the treatment of OCD and anxiety. Kairos Wellness Collective features diverse modalities including Chinese Medicine, cognitive behavioral therapy (CBT), Exposure and Response Prevention (ERP), Ketamine Assisted Psychotherapy and Coaching (KAP & KAC), Yoga Therapy, Play Therapy, Forest Bathing, Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT), and Family Therapy. While utilizing diverse approaches, all approaches featured at the center are evidence-based treatments for OCD and Anxiety disorders. I believe that what many of us desire most is a richness of connection - to ourselves, the ones we love, and the natural world around us. In my own experience, therapy offered a path forward, helping me cultivate a secure attachment within myself during a time that felt totally chaotic. Healing took place through being in the presence of a warm and compassionate guide, who could shine a light for me on possibility when I felt stuck in my same patterns. My approach is collaborative and personalized, drawing upon my training in Gestalt Therapy, Emotionally Focused Therapy (EFT) for Couples, Internal Family Systems (IFS) and mindfulness-based modalities. I also enjoy working with the Enneagram, which can serve as a powerful tool for spiritual and relational development. I believe that self inquiry and transformation is a patient process that requires courage, tenderness, honesty, and oftentimes a sense of humor. Pamela French Newman (she/her/hers), graduated in May 2022 with a Masters Degree from Naropa University in Clinical Mental Health Counseling in the Somatic Counseling Program with a concentration in Body Psychotherapy. Pamela’s approach to counseling is strength-based, humanistic, relational, and mind/body-centered. She focuses on working with the nervous system as a way to work towards emotional regulation. Before coming to Naropa she spent five years teaching yin, restorative, and trauma informed yoga in the Boston area. Through her own personal practice as well as teaching yoga, her curiosity around the healing powers of the mind-body connection grew. Her first hand awareness of the mind-body connection as a therapeutic tool led her to find Somatic Counseling which is a form of psychotherapy that values this connection.
I am a licensed clinical social worker who has been providing individual psychotherapy to adolescents and adults for the past 20 years. My therapeutic style can be described as interactive, empathetic, nonjudgmental and gently challenging. Individuals struggling with suicidal ideation can come to The Hope Institute for treatment, to increase hope, and obtain the ability to safely wait for ongoing outpatient care, when needed. Our approach is unique, as it is based in the Collaborative Assessment and Management of Suicidality (CAMS) and Dialectical Behavioral Therapy (DBT), two of the most effective, evidence-based models currently available for treating suicidality. With the use of CAMS and DBT, the clinician and client will work together to solve problems. CAMS is an evidenced-based therapeutic framework for suicide-specific assessment and treatment of a patient’s suicidal risk. Each session of CAMS intentionally utilizes the patient’s input about what is and is not working. All assessment work in CAMS is collaborative; we seek to have the patient be a “co-author” of their own treatment plan (CAMS-care, 2024). DBT is a type of talk therapy that gives clients skills in regulating their emotions, tolerating distress, maintaining healthy relationships, practicing mindfulness and thinking from perspectives other than their own. THI is home to multiple clinicians who are certified and trained in CAMS and DBT. Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT) is an evidence-based behavior focused treatment intended to help clients build a life worth living while reducing suicidal and self-harming behaviors. Parent and teen groups are available. DBT groups provide clients with five core skills to manage intense emotions and enhance day-to-day life: mindfulness, distress tolerance, emotion regulation, interpersonal effectiveness, and dialects.

Along with individual therapy my practice offers a Young Adult Therapy Group. I co-facilitate the young adult group with Marian Salley. We have been running this group for over 3 years, some of the members have been with us since the beginning. Group members are from all over and the group is ONLINE. Think of the members of this group as a party of adventurers, who get to know each other through time spent together, by sharing the emotionally relevant events from their own lives and the interactions that evolve between them within the group. A group of familiars they can take with them thru the various transitions in their lives. Overtime members witness each other’s ups and downs and become known to each other through the experience of sharing their lives, feelings and responding to how they effect one another in the here and now. This is an excellent group for young adults who are looking for a social space to explore emotional experiences, social anxieties, interpersonal relationships and whatever might come in a group of peers.
