I work with students navigating stress, academic pressure, anxiety, depression, ADHD, OCD, and major life transitions. I also have specialized training in child and adolescent psychiatry and family-focused care, including adoption-related dynamics. My approach is collaborative and down-to-earth, focusing on what’s actually affecting your day-to-day life and school experience. I combine medication management with practical, skills-based strategies like motivational interviewing, DBT skills, ACT, and interpersonal therapy to help you feel more steady, focused, and supported.
The Sanctuary Care & Counseling Center is a counseling practice that aims to facilitate wellness through the integration of spirituality and mental health. This is done through ensuring that clients feel safe, supported, and are persistently reminded to extend themselves grace and self-compassion. In the Sanctuary clients are provided a safe space to discuss the complexities of "adulting", process their trauma, navigate grief, adjust to change and transitions, be vulnerable about their fears and insecurities, and express uncertainty and ambivalence about their faith stories. Contrary to popular belief, you don’t have to have it -" all together". We invite you to The Sanctuary, where we will partner with you as you strive to figure it out.
Have you ever found yourself standing in the middle of a maze, unsure how you got there, and how to begin finding your way out? As a dually licensed practitioner with over 10 years of experience, I can understand how life's daily challenges, acute and chronic stress, traumatic experiences, and generational trauma can compound on a person, leaving them stranded in a complex maze without a clear path out. Throughout my clinical experience, I have worked with clients struggling with substance abuse/ addiction, acute and chronic stressors, suicidal ideation, family conflict, divorce, and trauma. I have specialized training working with women, young adults and military families, trauma and abuse, family conflict, and co-parenting issues. If you are ready to begin your journey with support, I will work alongside you to make meaningful and sustainable change, help you gain insights to patterns in your behavior, and work towards the life you envision for yourself. Hi, I’m Regina (she/her), a queer, neurodivergent therapist who believes healing happens in spaces where you’re truly seen and affirmed. I bring compassion, curiosity, and a healthy dose of irreverence into the therapy room, and I deeply value the trust it takes to show up authentically—especially when the world hasn’t always made space for who you are. I primarily work with women and nonbinary adults—especially those who are late-diagnosed neurodivergent, part of the LGBTQ+ community, or navigating non-traditional relationships (like ENM or kink). If you're untangling trauma, questioning your place in a society that often feels hostile or broken, or working to rebuild self-worth in a neurotypical, cis-hetero world—you’re in the right place. My approach is eclectic and collaborative. I draw from a variety of therapeutic modalities to meet your unique needs, rather than forcing you into a one-size-fits-all mold. This work isn’t about “fixing” you—it’s about reconnecting with your values, making meaning, and feeling more at home in your own mind and body. If you’re looking for a therapist who affirms your identity, respects your complexity, and understands what it means to feel like an outsider—I’d be honored to walk with you. Schedule a free consultation so we can chat about whether I’d be a good fit.

Do you struggle with just being yourself these days? Well, kick off your shoes, relax, put up your feet, let's get real and talk. Many people see therapy as a never ending cycle of therapists sitting with a notepad repeating, "How does that make you feel?". I can assure therapy with me is never a cliche. I know how easy it is to feel alone and always asking why me. Some days it's easy to feel trapped looking for the fastest escape. Others you want to burst into tears or moments you feel like you're making all the wrong choices. I can understand if you need a break and want to scream. I'm here to help. Let's explore those issues you may be struggling with together and take back control of your life.

Hi! I’m Katharine. I’m a LCPC now offering video sessions for clients just like you. I help people-pleasers remove fear and dread from their choices so they can FINALLY become CONFIDENT and pursue their real dreams. I help them see that the barriers are passable, and most are self-created. The good news is, if the problems are self-created, you can finally start doing something about it. Your future is in your own hands and that’s empowering. I’ll encourage you to think about a top down approach to getting re-organized and Centered, figuring out what works and what is no longer working for you. We all have to retool our efforts, pivot and re-pivot over time if we hope to be continually successful. What worked for you when you when you were 20 is probably not working any more I’ll be in your corner while we figure out what new approaches would work best for you . I like to share outside resources from readings to videos to ideas from all over the web and from the best psychiatrists that have ever lived. So Think about What self-doubt might be costing you,,,,, and sign up to meet with me so we can free up your focus and energy to pursue the life you really want.
I am passionate about helping other people improve their health and have dedicated my nursing career toward continually achieving this goal. I am honored to have been a registered nurse for 17 years, with most of that time spent in a major metropolitan hospital responding to medical emergencies as part of the facility’s Rapid Response Team. After gaining a wealth of experience performing rapid assessments and thus improving the physiological and mental health needs of patients in crisis, it made sense for me to evolve and find a niche that focused solely on psychiatric-mental health nursing. I approach new clients with the belief that they should be encouraged to speak freely, which is a fundamentally important step towards establishing clear goals and objectives. Furthermore, I would like my clients to feel comfortable being an active participant and engaged in improving their mental well-being. The goal of our time together is quite simply to help you start to feel better and improve the quality of your life. I would like you to feel comfortable enough to share the issues that are most challenging and burdensome so that we may work towards addressing them head on. Our initial encounter will include learning your history, how you’ve been feeling, any past successes and/or failures with medications, and then collaborating towards a plan to achieving the goal of feeling better and improving your mental health.

I strive to help individuals struggling with distressing emotions, unhealthy relationships, uncertainty, and the overwhelming demands of life. I see a wide range of clients, including those suffering from anxiety, depression, low motivation, relationship issues, and trauma. In therapy, I will help you to develop an understanding of how past experiences influence your current struggles. As you learn about yourself and the origin of your suffering, you will become more self-aware, fulfilled, and equipped to make positive changes. I trained at UT Southwestern Medical Center at Dallas and have extensive experience in private practice, hospital, and college counseling settings. I seek to establish a supportive, nurturing relationship with clients to facilitate growth and introspection in an environment of compassion, respect, and non-judgmental acceptance. I believe therapy offers a unique experience to learn about yourself, others, and the world. My hope is to join you on a path towards developing a greater sense of wellness and passion that will enrich your relationships, professional endeavors, and personal interests. I sincerely look forward to hearing from you.

I am one of the leading experts in pre-surgical psychological evaluations. I have authored a book titled "Psychological Assessment of Surgical Candidates: Evidence-Based Procedures and Practices" and actively engage in society work associated with the American Society for Metabolic and Bariatric Surgery to advance training and science related to bariatric surgery. My clinical training experiences have largely centered around assessing the intersections of medical/health, psychological, and social aspects of individuals to facilitate successful outcomes in medical settings. With training from some of the leading experts in psychological assessment, I am also proficient in conducting disability/worker's compensation evaluations, pre-employment screening, and general psychodiagnostic evaluations in addition to pre-surgical assessments. I am licensed in the state of Texas (#38086) and hold a PsyPact license to practice in other states. My research focuses on understanding how psychological factors contribute to medical outcomes. I have over 60 peer-reviewed publications, primarily focused on pre-surgical psychological evaluations and their predictive value for various outcomes. I use my research findings to assist patients in managing risk factors before and after surgery to optimize their outcomes. Additionally, I have a keen interest in psychological assessment, particularly in the use and study of the Minnesota Multiphasic Personality Inventory (MMPI) in both research and practice. I have been recognized by several national organizations with early-career research awards for my contributions to pre-surgical psychological evaluations. Currently, I am the Principal Investigator on novel psychological interventions for Type 2 Diabetes. I also serve as an Associate Editor for two esteemed journals in the field – Psychological Assessment and Surgery for Obesity and Related Diseases.

I love helping all people, but I truly have a passion for helping young adults, BIPOC women, perfectionists, overthinkers, and highly self-aware individuals that can't feel their feelings. I truly believe that part of my purpose in life is to help people find their peace. I practice psychotherapy, music therapy, and therapeutic movement. We can develop a plan using all three if you'd like! I also cuss a little bit, there's no evidence behind it - I just feel like it helps. If you're a young adult with any of the issues mentioned above, reach out for a consult. If you don't see your issue listed and my profile resonates with you, please reach out! You know yourself the best. I've worked with individuals throughout the lifespan with varying concerns and disorders.
