Therapists for college students near Temple University
Hi there, I'm Jennie. I'm an Asian-American psychotherapist committed to partnering with you on this journey. My work focuses on promoting deeper wellness and considers the entire human experience: from what appears in the here and now to a deep dive into your life. To that end, I take on a relational approach, incorporating mindfulness based practices, radical compassion and acceptance, attachment theory, and internal family systems frameworks. I have over thirteen years of experience working with women across the life span at various community based agencies and hospitals in New York City and Philadelphia. As a therapist, I enjoy collaborative curiosity and work out of a humanistic, anti-oppressive lens.

Hi! I’m Paige (they/she) Whether you are struggling with your identity, the transitions and pace of being in school, or your overall mental health, I would love to see how we can make your life run more smoothly. I aim to make therapy accessible to all of my clients and we can talk about what this means for you. Fidgeting is welcome, as well as eating or knitting while we chat. I mainly use Internal Family Systems which sees each person as made up of a system of parts. These parts interact with one another with the goal of maintaining safety and avoiding harm and pain. Through the experience of trauma, our parts may take on more extreme roles to protect us. We will work together to heal these parts so that they can contribute to the internal system in more helpful ways. A little about me: I am a queer and chronically-ill identified therapist and I love to cross-stitch! I can’t help but to notice parts and attachment styles everywhere, mainly in tv and books. I love finding ways to incorporate art and movement into healing. If you would like to learn more, please reach out for a free consultation to see if I would be a good fit. I look forward to working with you! *I have sliding scale slots from $85-$135 based on need* *I reserve a few slots on my caseload for clients seeking lower fee therapy ($40-$70 per session) through Open Path Psychotherapy Collective*

Therapy is a great tool to explore how your past experiences and early relationships influence your current relationships, symptoms of anxiety, depression, and how you navigate and process feelings. I truly believe the relational component to therapy (relationship between therapist and patient) can bring to light reactions, feelings, and patterns that show up outside of the therapy space. With this, you can begin to gain insight into how these experiences make you feel and make changes that align with your wants and needs. My hope is to create a collaborative, non-judgmental and validating space to allow for exploration of concerns and enable growth. I encourage you to contact me so we can begin to explore what is holding you back from living a more meaningful and fulfilling life.

I have been in the helping field since graduating with my undergraduate degree in Sociology in 2004. I received my master’s degree in Social Work in 2013 and have been a therapist ever since. I have experience working with diverse populations and settings. I am easy to talk to and work from a strength-based/solution focused perspective where you are the expert on you. I use a variety of evidenced based interventions; CBT, mindfulness, traditional talk therapy, and motivational interviewing. For couples, I reference Gottman Method and attachment based theory and effective communication strategies. This field is my passion and my calling. We all find ourselves struggling at one point or another. For some people, this is a life-long battle, and for others, it’s a short blip on our journey. Regardless, we all deserve to feel like our best selves, and I am here to help you feel like you again. I believe that the relationship between therapist and client is the most transformational part of the therapeutic journey, and I truly enjoy fostering genuine connections with my clients through warmth, humor, and authenticity. I work to help clients process past experiences and identify how they are impacting current patterns and thinking, set and work towards goals for change, while providing tangible coping skills and strategies to manage difficult symptoms. For over 10 years I have worked with adolescents and young adults who are navigating anxiety, mood challenges, OCD, life transitions, school stress, gender identity and orientation, and other emotional challenges. Using evidence based theories of CBT, ACT, DBT, ERP, motivational interviewing, and person centered therapies, I hope to walk with you in this journey of healing.

I would love to share with you a little about my passion for empowering others. One of the most important things I do when I meet people is listen. I listen to the needs and concerns of others. I encourage, motivate, and equip individuals, couples, and families to effectively deal with and overcome personal and familial obstacles. My goal is to share evidenced-based interventions tools, techniques, and interventions that can be used effectively and independently. When you have reached your goals, you will be prepared to deal with whatever comes your way and you will feel self-sufficient and confident in your actions.
I'm Carly Stanton, a Licensed Professional Counselor (LPC) and Board-Certified Music Therapist (MT-BC) offering virtual therapy for adults in Florida and Pennsylvania who've spent too long trying to fit into spaces that were never built for them. I work with outsiders, misfits, and people rebuilding — LGBTQ+ folks navigating identity and belonging, Jewish adults sorting through what their heritage actually means to them, highly sensitive people who are done apologizing for how they're wired, and anyone who's spent years being everything for everyone else and lost themselves in the process. My approach is relational, insight-oriented, and grounded in ACT and attachment-based work. I'm not here to hand you coping tips. I'm here to help you figure out who you actually are underneath all the performing. Virtual only. Free 15-minute consultation.
I specialize in helping adolescents and adults overcome the struggles of eating disorders, anxiety, depression, self-harm, and substance abuse. I help my clients learn concrete coping skills and effective ways to take control of their lives. The constant battle of obsessing over one's weight, the unrelenting state of panic and fear at times for no understood reason, and the feelings of shame and urges to self-destruct, don't have to be a part of your life. I've had the opportunity to successfully help people work through these issues and find peace and healing that they deserve. I love working with people with eating disorders because they are intelligent, kind-hearted, and often don't realize their potential and worth in the world. I understand the strength it takes to make the call to ask for help and the uncertainty that comes with starting the recovery process. After studying eating disorders and women's issues extensively and working for years at The Renfrew Center, a renowned residential eating disorder facility, I joined the Emotional Eating program at Princeton House Women's Programs. Feel free to learn more about me and my private practice at www.sarahgoldbergellis.com.
My clients come to me with a wide variety of concerns related to anxiety, depression, confusion, low self-esteem, life transitions and adjustments, impulsive behaviors (e.g., substance use, binge eating, self-harm), etc. There is no problem too big or too small, and you are brave for considering therapy. No matter what you are searching for, I believe change is possible and therapy can help. I utilize evidence-based interventions to help my clients build a life that they find more sustainable, meaningful, and enjoyable. I am skilled at helping my clients find balance by challenging them to make necessary changes while also working toward accepting the things that are unchangeable, such as our past. You don't have to know if therapy is right for you just yet, it is ok to be uncertain. I meet my clients where ever they are at in life, and I offer warmth, safety, validation, non-judgement, and a little bit of humor. Reach out and let's see if we would make a good team.
