Hello there, Feeling stuck? Feeling stressed out about all the things that are competing for your attention? Wanting to change your relationship with yourself, so you can spread your wings and soar? I'm Stefan (he/him) and I want to be there on your journey. Starting therapy can feel scary, even if you've been in therapy before! To lower that intensity a bit, I want you to give you an idea of how I show up to sessions: - I get to know you - your family, friends, hobbies, shows, loves, fears, passions. - I celebrate and hype you up when you do the hard thing. - I ask questions to get you curious about patterns in your life, and point out when you might not be aware of them. - I offer compassion when your mind creates judgments about yourself. - I welcome and ask for feedback, knowing some things will land and others will not. - I laugh with you and value humor. - I tear up when you feel hurt or uncover a tender spot (while also holding space for you to feel). - I'll tell you I'm proud of you. - I nerd out about mental health, skills, approaches, and explain concepts in a way you'll understand. - I slow down and speed up based on your cues, and I give you choice in how we go about sessions. - I'm always working on our relationship, so there's trust and security when we get to difficult things. - I acknowledge the bigger systems of oppression that affect your life and lives of your loved ones. - I'm active and dynamic in sessions - sometimes asking questions, leading an activity, listening and reflecting, interrupting to highlight something you said, and synthesizing information and summarizing it back to you. All of this "I" is the effort I put into helping you get to "you": what you want, what you care about, your goals, dreams, your emotions, stressors, internal talk, and who you want to become and how you want to show up in life. Specialties: queer and trans identities and lived experiences, anxiety and depression, perfectionism, substance use, navigating family dynamics, healing trauma, couples and relationship work, career discernment Approaches: Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT), Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing (EMDR; trauma approach), Internal Family Systems (IFS), Gottman Method (for relationship work), mindfulness and somatic interventions I'm an associate counselor, seeing clients through telehealth in Massachusetts, Pennsylvania, and California. My typical availability is 8am-5pm EST, although I sometimes see clients earlier in the morning or early evening. I have in-person availability in Northampton, MA on Tuesdays and Wednesdays. Please reach out with any questions! I accept the following insurances: - United/Optum/UMR/UHC in Massachusetts, Pennsylvania, and California - Sutter Health and Kaiser (through Carelon) in California - Harvard Pilgrim in Massachusetts Private pay rates are: Individual - $125-$175 Couples/Relationships/Family - $145-$195

She values trust, empathy and authenticity and believes strongly in the power of journeying with someone as a pathway to change. Amber’s style is warm, genuine, supportive and direct. Have you ever thought, “Why is this happening to me?”, “I feel so alone,” or “Is this normal?” If so, you’re not alone—and I would love to support you. Whether you’re juggling the demands and transitions of daily life or navigating the complex and long-lasting effects of trauma, I can offer a safe and validating space where your experiences are heard, honored and supported. I provide couples’ and individual counseling for adolescents (ages 14+) and adults experiencing trauma, eating disorders, perinatal mood and anxiety disorders (PMADs), anxiety, depression, self-harm, and self-esteem challenges. As a Licensed Professional Counselor, I use a trauma-informed approach and draw from evidence-based practices including Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT), Motivational Interviewing, and mindfulness. With a trauma-focused therapeutic style, I support individuals in understanding their emotional experiences, building regulation skills, and learning to cope in helpful and appropriate ways. Whether you’re ready to challenge unhelpful thought patterns or simply need someone to listen and hold space, I am here for you.

Holiday Blues? Struggles with navigating challenges like depression, anxiety, trauma, behavioral concerns, stress, and self-esteem? I offer a supportive space where you can explore what’s weighing on you and begin to move toward healing and balance. My approach is person-centered and tailored to your needs. Whether you're feeling overwhelmed, stuck, or just need someone to talk to, I’m here to help. I draw from a range of therapeutic methods including cognitive behavioral therapy (CBT), trauma-informed care, strengths-based strategies, psychoeducation, mindfulness, and EMDR. In our first few sessions, we’ll talk about what brings you to therapy—your story. I focus on building trust and rapport from the start because I know opening up can feel intimidating. Together, we’ll identify goals and create a treatment plan that feels right for you. Clients often tell me they appreciate the calm, welcoming environment I create. We’ll work at your pace, and you’ll never be pushed to go faster than you’re ready for. I’m passionate about this work because I get to witness real transformation—watching clients grow, heal, and reconnect with themselves is incredibly rewarding.

Everyone Copes Differently There is no one right way to cope with trauma, triggers, and other difficulties you’re struggling with. However, when your stress and anguish affect your relationships, work, education, self-confidence, or general ability to feel happy, there has to be another way. Wherever you are in your healing journey, your feelings are valid, and you deserve to be heard. But getting the help you need means more than talking to someone who looks great on paper. Finding a therapeutic strategy that works means connecting to a certified professional who understands what you’re going through, how your life is being impacted, and what it means to feel “normal” again. You are enough. My Wellness Center is here to help during your healing journey.

At times, people just want to have a conversation and we put off going to counseling, because honestly we tell ourselves that this other thing is just a little bit more important, a bit more pressing. We forget to invest in ourselves. Life is tough, there is no doubt about that; but why go through it alone. Let me be that person for you to aid you through those tough times or I can simply be that someone that you talk with. Supporting individuals, couples and families through life’s complex phases by providing a safe, compassionate space to explore their feelings and build resilience, using a grounded, present-focused approach to foster healing and growth. I maintain a special interest in supporting men through societal expectations that discourage emotional vulnerability, leaving many to cope silently with stress, isolation, or unresolved pain. Additionally, I have a passion for supporting children, adolescents and their families where they face mounting pressures from social media, academic demands, shifting family dynamics, and global uncertainty. Many struggle to make sense of their identity, emotions, and relationships in the midst of constant stimulation and comparison.
