River Wards Wellness Collective is a holistic wellness center in Fishtown, Philadelphia, & West Chester, PA. The Collective focuses on integrating the connection between the mind, body, and soul through diverse healing practices. Our group understands that finding mental health services can be difficult and expensive. Our therapists are committed to providing quality, affordable care to members of our community. We are aware of the importance of making ourselves available to those who are in need of support, and would not be able to afford therapeutic care without use of their insurance. We are proud to partner with Aetna, Cigna, Highmark, & United / Optum insurances to allow their members access to quality mental health services. Our mission is to de-stigmatize insurance-based mental health services; you do not need to pay private pay rates for quality care.
Hi, I‘m Chaise (He/Him), a student therapist under supervision as I complete my Master’s in Couples and Family Therapy. I recently moved to Philadelphia and spent most of my life living in a rural area before I moved. My journey towards becoming a therapist has been shaped by my life experiences and a desire to help people understand and cope with things that they experience. When I was studying psychology at Millersville University, I knew I wanted to be a therapist but struggled trying to figure out how I wanted to help people. Through the classes I took and internships I did I realized that the area I really wanted to focus on was sexuality and creating a space where people can feel safe and comfortable talking about any aspect that they want/need to. I’m especially drawn to working with people who are in the LGBTQ+ community as well as people or couples who are struggling with issues related to kinks and fetishes and/or sex addiction. One of my personal philosophies is that these topics needs a safe space to be talked about whether it be needing support while you explore your sexual identity or wanting additional support while you and your partner(s) discuss boundaries or discuss what you desire from each other sexually. My life experiences have helped me to understand that each person’s lived experiences are unique to them and so what may help one person might not help someone else. I try to bring this understanding with me into each session so I can try to support each client to the best of my ability while still trying to stay true to myself.

Starting or returning to college can bring up unique challenges—navigating relationships, managing stress, adjusting to new independence, or figuring out who you are and what you want. I work best with students who are thoughtful, curious, and open to exploring their inner world, even if that feels a little intimidating at first. Many of my clients are balancing academics with the ups and downs of friendships, family, dating, and questions about their identity. My practice is LGBTQ-affirming and welcoming to students of all backgrounds. I provide a calm and supportive space where you can slow down, untangle what feels overwhelming, and begin to feel more grounded. Whether you’re seeking clarity in relationships, support with stress or anxiety, or a place to process deeper emotions, therapy can be a meaningful step toward feeling more connected and at ease with yourself. I look forward to supporting you!
I created this practice, mktherapy, in order to provide a space that believes in affirming and celebrating queer and trans identities. I specialize in working with fat identified folks who are in recovery and healing from fatphobic familial and cultural structures. I have additional interests in working with people coming into queer and trans identities later in life, intergenerational and ancestral trauma, as well as religious and spiritual trauma.
I work best with students who are motivated and thoughtful, but feel stuck—whether that’s struggling to focus, feeling overwhelmed by academic pressure, or wondering if ADHD, a learning difference, or anxiety might be part of the picture. I offer neuropsychological evaluations to help students understand how their brain works—clarifying strengths, challenges, and what may be getting in the way of learning or performance. These evaluations are often helpful for students seeking answers, clarity, or documentation for academic supports. I also provide CBT-based therapy, which focuses on practical tools to manage anxiety, stress, perfectionism, and unhelpful thinking patterns. Therapy is active and collaborative, and we work toward concrete changes that make daily life and school feel more manageable. If you’re looking for clearer answers about yourself and support that’s structured, practical, and grounded, I may be a good fit.
I have an eclectic, integrative style, utilizing evidence-based practices and techniques from various therapeutic approaches. I am trauma-informed, apply intersectional, feminist, and body and sex positive lenses, and incorporate harm reduction principles. Though I'm experienced and knowledgable supporting clients of diverse backgrounds, I am also cognizant of my lived experience as a queer cisgender male (he/him pronouns). I take a holistic view of clients, build upon inherent strengths, and create a partnership to guide and facilitate change, making progress toward goals.
Are you struggling with symptoms of anxiety or depression? Maybe you are experiencing family conflict or perhaps you are dealing with grief or loss. I have specialized training in Dialectical Behavioral Therapy (DBT)- an approach that offers concrete tools you can use to cultivate greater happiness, reduce anxiety, resolve conflict and navigate challenges in more effective ways. I have broad experience working with university students creating a safe and supportive environment where we focus not only on evidence-based methods, but also on identifying and harnessing your strengths to manifest positive change
People often want to improve some aspect of their emotional and mental health. In our work together, we will explore the areas of your life that are challenging or distressing, access and process difficult emotions, and make meaning of patterns in your unique narrative. I have specialized experience in working with transgender and queer individuals and provide affirming, nonjudgmental therapy for all folks from age 4 to 54. I believe in creating a safe and empathic space for a collaborative therapeutic relationship. Each session provides an opportunity for strength, self-awareness, and self-compassion, and I strive to provide a supportive and holding environment for such growth to be possible. While my practice is specialized to provide non-pathologizing and affirming therapy for queer and trans individuals, I welcome clients of all gender identities and orientations. I look forward to sharing in your journey and self exploration.
People often seek therapy to resolve past experiences and life complexities and the decision to enter therapy may carry feelings of ambivalence and uncertainty. I believe that therapy is most effective when persons are offered an environment that is inviting, collaborative, affirming, and safe. Subsequently, my goal is to provide a challenging, but non-judgmental and encouraging atmosphere for persons to explore concerns and difficulties as a means of achieving desired change. I have been trained in psychodynamic and gestalt therapy and trauma and attachment theory and I integrate these theoretical constructs to understand the uniqueness of each person. Further, I include harm reduction, cultural, strengths perspective, and social justice lenses to recognize each person's lived experience. In end, I have an extensive history working with persons of queer and trans/GNC experience and specific interest in working with complex trauma, substance misuse and addiction, attachment, and grief/loss. I offer an informed perspective when working with persons in polyamorous relationships and/or the kink community.

At Intersection Therapy, we hope to meet your needs and help you find effective ways to process your stress! Meeting individuals where they are, Our therapists provide art therapy, EMDR, and verbal counseling interchangeably. We encourage individuals to face their own ambivalence to process the uncomfortable topics brought out in therapy through artistic introspection. Finding the words to describe your life challenges and accomplishments will be made conscious through various creative processes in your sessions. We have each learned to blend empathy, support, equality, and validation for each of the life events that you are needing to process. The best way to provide you the appropriate space for change is meeting you where you are as it pertains to your journey for change. We have each worked in various settings within the mental health community including residential treatment, acute inpatient, alternative and regular education, in-home based counseling, and most recently private practice serving children, adolescents, adults, families, and individuals in relationships. As a Latinx and LGBTQIA+ owned/run practice, we hope to provide a safe therapeutic space to the individuals seeking support through our practice! We look forward to building a lasting therapeutic alliance with you at whatever intersection of life you are in.
Many of the students and young adults we work best with are in the middle of a transition. They may have just moved away from home, started college or graduate school, begun a new job, or are trying to figure out who they are outside of their family. On the outside, it can look like they’re “doing fine.” On the inside, they often feel anxious, overwhelmed, uncertain, or afraid of making the wrong choices. You might relate if you’re struggling with independence — wanting space from your family but also feeling pulled back by guilt or expectations. Maybe you worry about the future, question your decisions constantly, or feel behind compared to everyone else. “Adulting” can feel harder than anyone warned you about. If you’re navigating identity, relationships, pressure to succeed, or fear of what comes next, you’re not alone. We work well with students who are thoughtful, self-aware, and ready to better understand themselves — even if they’re not sure where to start.
You feel like you could be doing better and that you have some areas in your life that you could improve in. You want to learn effective strategies and skills, break the cycles you are in, make deep insights, and improve your life and the relationship you have with yourself and others. We will uncover your patterns of behavior and create a deeper understanding of who you are and what you value. We will talk about the therapy process and make sure I set the stage so that you can understand how I can best support you. My unique combination of three master’s degrees supports my skillset of critical thinking, problem-solving, empathy, and emotional intelligence. My style can be best described as being supportive, directive, playful, and challenging. I value your time, energy, and money and so I cater our sessions to be most productive, efficient, and supportive for you. I'll help you expand your level of self-awareness, enrich your relationships, and increase your personal growth. Your investment in therapy is an investment in your potential. I am currently scheduling patients for both in-person (PA/NJ) and telehealth (PA/NJ/MA) appointments. I welcome patients who are looking for medication management, therapy, a second opinion, or any combination of the above. My interests include diagnostic clarification of mood/anxiety/attention disorders, evaluation of young adults who may be seeking help for the first time, and treatment of substance use disorders that often present with other common diagnoses. I offer comprehensive treatment, taking into consideration not only whether a patient has a medical illness, but also discussing lifestyle, substance use, relationships and other factors that could be affecting an individual's mental health. When indicated, I may recommend the use of psychiatric medications in conjunction with therapy.

Masters of Science in Community and Trauma Counseling. Eating Disorders, Trauma, Anxiety, and Depression. Offering in-person therapy in Society Hill, and Telehealth therapy. “Hopefulness lies in knowing that while early experiences shape the nervous system, ongoing experiences can reshape it” - Deb Dana I approach healing through a lens of restorative embodiment. My intention is to create a safe space as an empathetic witness and an honored collaborative partner in your therapeutic journey. In the therapeutic room I will bring in authenticity, laughter, presence, hope, and intentional moments of silence. I believe in an i-thou relationship and that you are the best guide for me to support you. With that, I also believe that while each of us are the experts in our own lives, we often do not know how to access or trust in our inner-knowing to make the necessary steps towards adaptive change and cultivating a fully embodied life that is worth living. My passion is to support you in finding and trusting your inner knowing, embrace your worthiness and strength, experience safety in using your body as a resource, and reinforce your internal sense of self-agency. In the therapeutic room, I prioritize trauma-informed and LGBTQIA-affirming care as well as harm reduction. I have experience in social work providing housing-first and strength-based care. In addition, I have experience providing individual, group, and family therapy in different settings such as a psychiatric inpatient hospital for adolescents, an eating disorder residential treatment center, and a Comprehensive DBT-focused outpatient practice. I primarily support clients ages 14 and up, college-aged individuals, and young adults. I am passionate about working with those navigating this world with an eating disorder, depression, anxiety, substance recovery, and differing levels of trauma and PTSD/CPTSD. Grounded in the principles of Health at Every Size®, I endorse Intuitive Eating, body neutrality, radical acceptance, and body liberation. I often draw upon these principles as well as embodiment in the treatment of eating disorders. I also practice with aspects from Internal Family Systems (IFS), Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT), and Trauma Focused Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (TF-ACT), using a mindfulness and somatic approach. I fully believe that every human has done and is doing the best they can with the tools they have or were given, whether effective or ineffective, with the information the body has interpreted and stored. The body and brain is malleable, flexible, and able to change. Let’s re-align with our inner-knowing, physical sensations, and core-values; change our interpretations and the narrative, to cultivate a new path forward that supports you as you level up with new and more effective tools. There is hope and I am so honored to join you on this next part of your journey. I facilitate a body image group called Embodiment. I accept Aetna & Cigna insurances.

The majority of my training has been in college counseling and community mental health. My areas of interest and expertise include trauma, OCD, social anxiety, specific phobia, panic disorder, emotion dysregulation, issues of overcontrol, nonsuicidal self-injury, depression, and LGBTQ+ issues.
