Hi! I'm a Psychologist licensed in both New York and California, and I love working with college students! Please call to arrange an appointment in-office, or via computer (secure, live-stream video conferencing platform).
With my clients, I like to create a warm, safe, welcoming, and trusting environment where individuals can feel comfortable with me and share all that they need to. I will meet someone where they are at, and establish goals together. My main goal is to empower individuals to meet their goals and to improve their overall mental health and wellness!
Finding the right therapist is an important and thoughtful process. You want to find someone who ‘gets’ you, and who you can trust to be straightforward with you about your role in problems, and what steps you need to take. You want a person with solid credentials and experience, yet who is open, willing to listen, and who will consider a variety of treatment options with you. Clients have told me they appreciate my straightforwardness and compassion. I would characterize myself as contemplative and thoughtful, yet I am not the kind of therapist who will leave you ‘on the couch’ while I utter “mm-hmm”. I like to balance insight with concrete information and skills you can use to work between sessions. My goal is to foster respectful and collaborative partnerships with clients who are motivated to make changes in their lives. Being a psychologist has special meaning to me, and I care deeply about my work. I hope this offers helpful information as you search for your therapist, and would welcome you to contact me for a consultation.
I have been specializing in ADHD, anxiety disorders and depression for over 12 years in the Ithaca community. I diagnose and treat psychiatric disorders. I have recently opened a practice in The Cortland area. I work with ages 18-65.

The idea of starting therapy can stir up many emotions for us. Maybe we're scared of getting vulnerable. Maybe we're struggling to accept that we need help and feel like we've failed. And maybe a little bit of us sparks with hope that something better can happen in our lives; that change is possible. Many people enter therapy feeling disconnected and low on hope, but together we can work to change that. I love helping clients to restore hope and connection with their most authentic selves. Over the last decade I have worked with people coping with depression, anxiety, and trauma. I also bring a specialized focus in working with adoptees and caregivers (especially those who find themselves unexpectedly care giving for a loved one earlier in life than they anticipated). My work is most informed by a background in trauma, attachment, and self compassion. My favorite part of being a therapist is helping people to see themselves with more clarity and kindness. If you think I might be a good fit to work with you, drop me a message and let's chat!
I am a licensed Clinical Social Worker in New York, Arizona, and Colorado with seven years of experience. I work with people who are feeling stressed, anxious, stuck, or just not quite themselves. Whether you’re navigating big life changes, relationship challenges, or figuring out what you want next, therapy can be a space to pause, reflect, and start feeling more grounded. My approach is collaborative. I use tools from CBT and EMDR, but mostly I focus on really getting to know you, your story, your experiences, and what actually helps you feel better. I also take into account how culture, identity, and environment shape what we go through. My goal is to create a space where you can be open, explore what’s working (and what’s not), and feel supported in making meaningful change. If you’re curious about therapy but not sure where to start, I offer a free 15-minute consultation so you can get a feel for my style and see if we’d be a good fit.

I am a clinical psychologist with almost 25 years of experience in working with college students. I began my career at the University of Rochester and later Johns Hopkins University and Loyola University of Maryland. I have been in private practice since 2003. I have specific interests in the treatment of anxiety, depression, body image, eating disorders and chronic medical conditions. I enjoy working with individuals through the developmental transitions of college. Often times people want to improve their relationships, seek support with the stresses of academic and social lives, all while dealing with the various challenges of being a young adult in today's world. The mental health needs of the 18-25 year old age group are unique and therapy can be a safe place to help navigate them.
I am a certified eating disorder specialist with over 10 years of experience working with individuals who struggle with their relationship with food, body image, and self. College can often be a time that increases these struggles with the demands of academics, sports performance for athletes, more independence and social pressures. My work is to help you create a better relationship with your body and food that can help lead to a more satisfaction in life. I also work with individuals struggling with depression, anxiety, grief, and the life transitions. Together we will create coping strategies to navigate through the mess and sometimes just to hold space to sit in the messiness that can be life. My work is collaborative. I am not here to tell you what to do but instead meet you where you are at and guide you to your goals that you want to meet in therapy. I bring warmth, compassion and of course some humor into our work together.
Life is hard. For many of us, we often become overwhelmed by stress, anxiety, loneliness, uncertainty, fear, you name it. To make things worse, we experience trauma and discover that some of our deepest wounds come from our relationships. Of course, we want to protect ourselves from relationships, change, and the unknown. I get that. From working in schools, residential facility, and private practice setting, I've learned that there is also something inside each of us that yearns for healing, loving connection, and pure joy. So, what is getting in the way? Let's explore that together. I have a non-judgmental and compassionate approach when providing counseling for individuals. What that means is I relate to you as another imperfect human being who understands the impact of trauma, life transitions, stress, anxiety and several other factors that affect our day-to-day lives. I will offer you a space to freely explore your struggles and opportunities for healing. Let’s be real, we don’t know each other and it’s going to feel weird at first to share your story with me. I thank you for even considering. Sometimes the hardest step is the first one. I recognize and respect that. Whenever you’re ready, I am ready to join you. You don't have to figure it out on your own.

Calling all anxious folks struggling with frequent worries, "what if" thoughts, intrusive thoughts or images, or feeling like you are always trying to manage or control your anxiety: relief is possible! I specialize in working with college students with generalized anxiety, social anxiety, perfectionism, obsessive-compulsive disorder, panic attacks, procrastination, and high-pressure academic or occupational environments. My guess is that if you struggle with these, you have been working VERY hard to feel better. I would love to work with you to develop new, evidence-backed strategies to respond to your anxiety and find relief. I believe in a therapeutic relationship that is safe, affirming, and collaborative. Sometimes life's challenges require additional tools. I am a board certified Psychiatric-Mental Health Nurse Practitioner with a Master's Degree from Molloy University. I have over a decade of experience in this field and over two decades as a Nurse Practitioner in Adult Health. As a teammate in your wellness journey, I work closely with your counselor and health care providers to optimize mental and physical health outcomes. I see you as a whole person and incorporate your whole social, physical, and emotional well-being into our plan to guide you to wellness. Medication and psychotherapeutic modalities are utilized as needed to help you achieve your goals. Patients should be ages 18+, in the active care of a Primary Care Provider, and willing to utilize the patient portal. Unfortunately, I do not participate with Medicare or Medicaid even if it is managed by one of the plans listed at this time.
We are a group of professional counselors providing psychotherapy to adults and teens. Individual and couples sessions, as well as group therapy.
