My approach is both relational and practical. I focus on helping you understand the patterns that keep you stuck—especially overthinking, self-doubt, and relationship anxiety—while also giving you tools to respond differently in real time. I draw from a blend of approaches, including insight-oriented work and more structured strategies, depending on what’s most helpful for you. I’m active and engaged in sessions, not just listening but helping you make connections and move forward. The goal is not just insight, but actual change in how you think, feel, and show up.

Together we are here to find you a therapist you connect with and are comfortable working with, so you can get the most out of your experience and feel fully supported and engaged in the process. We work with people from diverse backgrounds and can offer a few options based on your needs and budget (individual work, groups, etc.) We offer traditional talk therapy, creative arts therapy, and bring many contemplative and mindfulness practices into session, personalizing the approach based on what you are comfortable with. Your first step will be a brief 10 min phone call with our founder and director Emery to discuss what you are looking for, answer any questions you might have, and hear about which therapist might be a good fit. You'll also get a chance to discuss your options for therapy and how the services match with your budget. No pressure and, if it feels good to you, you can decide when to take the next step.

I work with students who need more or different support than they are able to access on-campus. You may be looking for long-term therapy or for a therapist who specializes in working with people like you. I am trained in several types of therapy (ACT, DBT, relational, multicultural-feminist) and apply them flexibly based on what you need. Students who work with me are often looking for longer-term therapy, where we address deeper issues in a safe relationship, at your own pace. Others are seeking individual therapy that makes room for activism and the big problems of our time. We may be a good fit for therapy together if you are coping with a difficult family, relationship trouble, recurrent mental health problems (e.g. BPD, PTSD, MDD, GAD), or a life transition (e.g. grief, divorce, pregnancy, moving, spiritual/religious crisis). I also have particular experience working with medical students. Finally, I am a climate-aware and social justice-focused therapist; this means your experience with collective problems like white supremacy and the climate crisis is a welcome, respected, and important part of therapy. I don't take insurance, but I offer sliding scale fees based on financial need. Please reach out to me for a 15-minute phone call to see what might be possible in our work together!
