Welcome, I'm so glad you're here! Pursuing therapy can be an intimidating but ultimately life-changing experience. I'm grateful you're here moving forward with care that resonates with you and your goals. My name is Yvonne (she/her). I’m a first-generation Latina therapist with a background in the arts. I've studied clinical social work at Fordham University and gained experience in psychiatric hospitals, crisis hotlines, child welfare, and private practice. I specialize in working with clients who are working through depression, anxiety, relationship/dating dynamics, life transitions, family dynamics, and race-related stress. I’m a kink-friendly therapist and LGBTQIA+ allied. The best next step is for you to book a free, brief call with me to share a little bit more about what brings you to therapy and for me to share about my experience so that together, we can confirm our fit. I am currently in network with Cigna, Blue Cross Blue Shield, and United Healthcare. For anyone with out-of-network benefits, I can assist with the paperwork necessary for reimbursement. I am only accepting clients age 18+ at this time. I look forward to meeting you and beginning our work together soon!
I’ve always thought that the most beautiful and interesting trees in the forest are the ones that grow into unique forms, shaped by their environment but finding a way to adapt and thrive. Similarly, life’s challenges can shape us in profound ways, but they can also leave us feeling overwhelmed, misunderstood, or stuck. I’m Rob Gooding, a second-year graduate student at St. Bonaventure University studying Clinical Mental Health Counseling. I am deeply passionate about helping individuals navigate these challenges and uncover their inner resilience to live fulfilling and authentic lives. I believe in the power of the therapeutic relationship as a foundation for growth and healing. To me, it’s a privilege to walk alongside clients as they share their stories and embark on their journey toward self-discovery and empowerment. My approach is grounded in person-centered principles, recognizing that you are the expert in your own life. I strive to create a safe, compassionate, and nonjudgmental space where you feel heard, valued, and supported. By integrating evidence-based techniques like Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Mindfulness-Based Stress Reduction (MBSR), and Solution-Focused Therapy, I work with clients to reframe negative thought patterns, develop practical skills, and prioritize their needs. Together, we’ll build tools to navigate challenges with confidence and clarity. Whether you’re navigating anxiety, academic pressures, identity exploration, or life transitions, you don’t have to face it alone. I’m here to help you rediscover your strengths, adapt to life’s demands, and create meaningful change. Just like those unique trees in the forest, your story is one of resilience and growth – and it would be an honor to support you on your path. Robert Gooding is a therapist in-training at Sol Health. The mind is a powerful tool, incredibly powerful. We can think positive thoughts, we can think realistic thoughts and we can think negative thoughts. Some thoughts are fleeting and others forgotten. Some thoughts are rooted in our early impression of the world around us. We are committed to providing support with negative thought patterns and emotional dysregulation, providing individuals with the tools, knowledge, and the resources to overcome these challenges. Our team is committed to helping individuals achieve mental wellness and emotional stability. We utilize a strength-based, cognitive behavioral and person centered approach when working with individuals to address negative thought patterns, emotional instability, anxiety and depression.

By exploring and validating your thoughts and emotions, we can start to untangle patterns, make sense of what feels overwhelming, and work toward healing. Finding the right words to express what you’re feeling isn’t always easy, and that’s okay. Sessions are tailored to what feels right for you. We’ll draw from psychodynamic, somatic, creative arts, and other trauma-informed approaches. Empathy, warmth, and humor are central to my practice, creating a space where you can explore and grow. Currently, I’m an MSW student at Yeshiva University in New York City and hold an MA in Clinical Psychology from Columbia University. Hello! I have over 20 years of experience working as a counselor and social worker and enjoy working with people of all ages. I employ techniques such as cognitive behavioral therapy, tapping, and motivational interviewing to assist my clients. I have a strengths-based and trauma-informed approach. I believe in meeting people where they are at, and empowering them to do the things that they want to do, not the things others tell them they should be doing. Many of my clients have told me that I am easy to talk to, a good listener, and nonjudgmental. My communication during therapy is truthful and real. My tone and demeanor will fit what you need - some people desire a soft and gentle tone, and some people want to get straight to the point. I believe that it is important to hear a person's story and understand what their goals are before beginning any treatment. In our first session, we will talk about why you came to counseling and what you hope to achieve while meeting with me. I'd like to hear from you if you think we might be a good fit. I am part of the Path referral network, which means that when you reach out, my team will get back to you quickly to schedule our first session. I am committed to making therapy affordable. Through Path, I am in-network for most commercial insurances, so you're only responsible for your co-pay!
With over 8 years of experience, I’ve supported individuals, couples, and families in navigating life’s challenges. My goal is to help you move toward hope, healing, and wellness. For those who desire it, I also offer faith-integrated counseling that honors your spiritual values and supports your personal journey. I want to walk alongside you as you navigate the unique challenges of emerging adulthood. Whether you're adjusting to campus life, managing academic stress, exploring identity, or coping with anxiety, I offer a safe, inclusive space to process, grow, and thrive.
I work with students who need more or different support than they are able to access on-campus. You may be looking for long-term therapy or for a therapist who specializes in working with people like you. I am trained in several types of therapy (ACT, DBT, relational, multicultural-feminist) and apply them flexibly based on what you need. Students who work with me are often looking for longer-term therapy, where we address deeper issues in a safe relationship, at your own pace. Others are seeking individual therapy that makes room for activism and the big problems of our time. We may be a good fit for therapy together if you are coping with a difficult family, relationship trouble, recurrent mental health problems (e.g. BPD, PTSD, MDD, GAD), or a life transition (e.g. grief, divorce, pregnancy, moving, spiritual/religious crisis). I also have particular experience working with medical students. Finally, I am a climate-aware and social justice-focused therapist; this means your experience with collective problems like white supremacy and the climate crisis is a welcome, respected, and important part of therapy. I don't take insurance, but I offer sliding scale fees based on financial need. Please reach out to me for a 15-minute phone call to see what might be possible in our work together!
