My practice draws on a range of therapeutic approaches, with a focus on helping you develop a sense of safety and control, as well as effective coping skills. I work with adults who are navigating challenges related to generalized anxiety disorder (GAD), PTSD, depression, schizophrenia, and mood disorders. I am passionate about this work because I believe in the power of therapy to foster healing, growth, and positive change—even in life’s most difficult moments.
Are you struggling with mood disorders, anxiety issues, OCD, or eating disorders? I provide mental health care for adults with a multimodal approach, ensuring relevant and informed patient care personalized to your specific lifestyle, wants, and needs. You are a unique individual with your own neurobiochemical makeup, which is why we work together to create a holistic treatment plan that you feel is realistic and sustainable. My specialty is in taking in a functional approach to psychiatry, with goals to discover the root cause of symptoms, provide options for treatment, and offer education for an informed therapeutic journey. I look forward to exploring the best options for you in our work together. Working together, you can expect a collaborative, therapeutic relationship, nonjudgmental environment, and creative solutions. I believe in taking a holistic approach while practicing with current evidence-based treatments, incorporating medications, psychotherapy, lifestyle counseling, and functional/nutritional psychiatry. My style of psychotherapy is integrative, combining Mindfulness, psychodynamic, and Cognitive Behavioral Therapy concepts/practices. Before becoming a Psych NP, I practiced as an RN in numerous medical specialties and discovered a passion for psychiatry over time. I saw how mental health was not equally prioritized to physical health, and believe it is all connected. This experience allows me to bring a well-rounded medical background to patient care while addressing psychiatric needs, contributing to holistic treatment.

Hi, I'm Sean. I'm passionate about helping clients overcome struggles related to anxiety, OCD, life transitions, and identity development. In therapy, we will work collaboratively to identify your goals and create a plan to develop strategies to manage life challenges. In doing so, my goal is to create opportunities for you to come to know yourself more fully, to provide tools for you to connect with others more deeply, and to empower you to live a life more in line with your personal values. I am trained in providing CBT (Cognitive Behavioral Therapy), ERP (Exposure & Response Prevention), and Psychodynamic Therapy. I often work using an integrated approach that emphasizes treating the whole person and incorporate elements of multiple modalities to meet your individual needs and goals. Change can be both terrifying and extremely powerful. I value meeting new clients where they are at in their journey, and working as a team to accomplish important goals. I help clients restore the light within and come home to the authentic self they are meant to be. Offering a safe, down to earth, authentic, non judgmental and supportive space to explore & process thoughts and feelings, decrease anxiety, connect with your true values, improve sense of self and increase self esteem, navigate roles and relationships, find your voice and improve communication, set boundaries, cope with emotionally immature parents/family, self-care, burnout, break free from people pleasing and/or perfectionism, improve self compassion, be more present, cope with hurts and stress effectively, sleep better, and stop racing thoughts, reach your goals and dreams, and improve overall sense of self worth and wholeness. I will provide insight and tools to help you get unstuck.
Counseling works best when the focus is on getting back to yourself. It is a space to seek guidance, introspection, and wellness all geared around your own unique strengths, interests, and needs. Counseling is not about "fixing" you, it's about exploring and connecting with your own capabilities to bring you the wellness you deserve. When I work with clients it's important to guide you down your own path of wellness and to use my skills and expertise to help you embody your own power to heal. Through narrative and mindfulness based approaches we will work together to connect to your emotions and learn from your own self what it is you need to thrive. With over a decade of experience working in the mental health field in a variety of settings, I have gathered wisdom and knowledge from a variety of frameworks, such as person centered care, cognitive behavioral therapy, and crises and stress management, to address a variety of concerns such as trauma, depression, anxiety, life transitions, personal identity, goal setting, sexuality, grief, self-esteem, interpersonal relationships, mind-body healing and so much more.
If you’re a woman or queer person who seems put-together on the outside while feeling overwhelmed, anxious, or unsure of who you’re becoming on the inside, you’re not alone. Many of my clients describe shutting down in social settings, feeling pressure to perform, comparing themselves constantly, or wondering why things that once felt easy now feel impossibly heavy. They’re exhausted from pretending they’re fine, disconnected from their own needs, and scared by how quickly their emotions or motivation can swing. I help clients make sense of these intense inner shifts through a somatic, trauma-informed, and spiritually grounded approach. Together, we slow down enough to track what your body and emotions are trying to say, stress patterns, numbness, overthinking, people-pleasing, or the impulse to disappear. Instead of forcing insight or navigating it alone, you get a space to explore identity, relationships, boundaries, burnout, and the pressure to figure everything out. This work helps soften shame, reduce spirals, and reconnect you to what’s real and steady within you. Clients often describe feeling calmer, clearer, and more able to show up for their lives with presence and self-trust. They communicate more honestly, rest without guilt, reconnect with people they care about, and feel less ruled by anxiety or self-attack. If you’re ready to understand what’s shifting inside you, and want support that meets you with depth, compassion, and grounded tools, I’d be honored to walk with you.
You feel anxious and it’s hard to shut your brain off. People tell you to relax, but it’s not that easy for you. You’ve worked hard to get where you are, but it’s hard to sit back and enjoy it. Your standards for yourself feel too high, and you question how long you can keep this up. You tend to doubt yourself and your abilities and look to other people to reassure you. It’s hard to take up space, feel confident, and speak your truth. You want to feel present in your life and like you’re able to love and appreciate yourself just as you are. You want to feel confident, courageous, and like you are able to advocate for yourself. You want to feel happy, calm, and at peace with your life, your relationships, and your career. I specialize in working with young adults with anxiety, people-pleasing tendencies, imposter syndrome, and perfectionism to build self-confidence and live a life they love. A better future is possible, and I'm here to help you create it. I can’t wait to hear from you, send me an email or call me to schedule a free phone consultation.

When things are difficult, it can isolate us, drain our emotional reserves, and limit our ability to look at things in new ways. I work to help clients appreciate the depth of their experience, and support them toward personal strength and healthier relationships. My style is open, collaborative, direct, and supportive. I am a licensed clinical psychologist with over 20 years in private practice. I also served as adjunct faculty at the University of Rochester's Counseling Center for many years. I bring a range of approaches, but tailor my work to the specific needs of each client. My specialties include issues of loss and trauma, depression, anxiety, medical concerns, life changes, ADHD challenges, LGBTQ+ support, and stressful family or workplace relationships. Many of my clients work in arts-related or other creative fields. I look forward to meeting you!
Going to college allows people to explore themselves, gain knowledge and meet new people. However, sometimes along the way different stressors can pop up that can get in the way of us moving forward on our path. Trying to balance school, relationships, mental health and physical health can be overwhelming. That's why it's important to speak with someone who can provide you with validation, unbiased feedback and resources to help you thrive. I work with people dealing with a variety of issues including time management, stress-reduction, processing trauma, learning coping skills to deal with anxiety/depression, etc. If any of these things are issues for you, then now may be the perfect time to start therapy and get the support you need.
My specialties include depression, anxiety, relationship challenges, family conflict, and life stage transitions. Treatment is customized to your needs and therefore I'm committed to partnering with you to determine the approach best suited for you. My mission is to empower you to be your best and to experience life at its best. I am fluent in English and Spanish and can conduct sessions in your language of choice.
My practice is geared toward teens and young adults. I provide professional cognitive and behavioral therapy (CBT) along with Gestalt therapy. Only during exceptional circumstances would medication management be offered. I always counsel low medication doses and follow up with patients frequently because I like to err on the side of caution. I believe in the value of a genuine understanding of mental health, a confidential place to self-explore, and a healthy patient-provider relationship that is trustworthy, cooperative, and supportive.
My approach to therapy is warm, inviting, and challenging. I value compassion and "realness" and approach my work with clients from a place of curiosity and respect. I believe the quality of the therapeutic relationship is the foundation for meaningful work to occur and work with my clients to identify what feels most important to explore and address in therapy. Our work together may involve processing and organizing difficult life experiences or memories, preparing for major life transitions, or navigating challenges relating to depression/anxiety. I've often worked with clients in processing trauma and experiences of grief, relationship difficulties, and difficulties relating to identity (e.g., navigating minority related stress, LGBTQIA+, immigration concerns, etc.). Because safety and compatibility are necessary for effective therapy work, I typically connect with potential clients for a 15-20 minute phone consultation. This will allow us both to determine if we feel like we would be a good fit. Please feel free to reach out if you'd like to connect. Email tends to elicit a quicker response, however phone is fine, too! :)

Hi! I work best with clients who are figuring out who they are, where they belong, and how to navigate stress, relationships, and big life changes. Many of the people I support come from multicultural, multiracial, Indigenous, LGBTQIA+, or immigrant backgrounds, and are looking for a space where all parts of their identity are understood and respected. You might be dealing with anxiety, family pressure, identity questions, or feeling overwhelmed balancing everything. Some clients I work with are also navigating the impact of immigration experiences, acculturation stress, or racial trauma, whether from personal experiences, family history, or systemic challenges. These experiences can shape how you see yourself and move through the world, and you do not have to process them alone. You do not have to have it all figured out. Therapy can be a place to slow down, make sense of your experiences, and find ways to move forward that feel right for you. In sessions, we will look at both the deeper parts of your story and practical tools to help you feel better day to day. I often use a mix of approaches, including exploring patterns from your past, building coping strategies, and working on how your thoughts and feelings connect. My style is warm, collaborative, and grounded in respect for your lived experience. I aim to create a space where you feel safe being fully yourself, no pressure, no judgment, just support as you grow, heal, and navigate this stage of life.
