You deserve stellar care. Visit or call for free 15 minute consultation. As a yoga instructor, I will draw (if you wish) from ancient healing techniques and practices; this includes breath work, mindfulness, meditation and philosophical teachings. As a specialist in primary care behavioral health, I am able to focus your treatment comprehensively, integrating your physical and mental well-being. No matter your ailment, I will provide you with focused, dedicated, experienced, and compassionate care. You will feel relief on your first visit, and after some time working together, you can expect tremendous growth and healing. This goes for individuals, couples, and groups.
Lindsey is a Licensed Clinical Mental Health Counselor Associate (LCMHCA License #A20671) in North Carolina as well as a National Certified Counselor (NCC Certification #1735054). She received two Bachelor of Arts degrees in Psychology and Spanish Language and Literature in 2020 followed by a Master of Arts in Counseling in 2024. Currently, Lindsey is actively pursuing credentialing as a Registered Play Therapist (RPT). At the heart of Lindsey's work is a deep belief in the inherent worth, dignity, and potential of every person. She approaches therapy with the understanding that healing begins in spaces where people are truly seen, witnessed, heard, and valued. Her practice is rooted in a person-centered philosophy that honors each individual's unique story, inner wisdom, and capacity for growth. Guided by principles of trauma-informed care, cultural humility, and social justice, she acknowledges the complex intersections of identity, culture, and systemic factors in mental health. Lindsey's areas of focus include trauma, grief, anxiety, depression, religious trauma/church hurt, women’s issues, self-esteem, body image, identity, life transitions, and relational conflict. She tailors her therapeutic approach to each client’s individual needs and goals, integrating elements of Internal Family Systems (IFS), Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT), Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT), and Expressive Arts Therapy when supportive to the healing process. When working with children, Lindsey uses a Child-centered Play Therapy (CCPT) approach, creating a safe and supportive environment through which children can fully express themselves through play—their natural language. She respects and trusts in each child’s inner ability to grow and heal, and honors their pace, choices, and unique ways of making sense of the world. Outside of the counseling room, Lindsey enjoys spending time with family, entertaining her two cats, playing board games, building lego, bird-watching, reading a good book, doing something crafty, or grabbing a cup of coffee with friends. Lindsey recognizes the courage it takes to begin counseling and would be honored to walk alongside you on your journey.
Many of the people we work with are thoughtful, caring, and capable individuals who feel stuck in patterns that no longer serve them. They may be struggling with anxiety, stress, relationship challenges, life transitions, burnout, self-doubt, identity questions, or feeling overwhelmed by the expectations they place on themselves. Some students come to therapy because they’re facing a specific challenge. Others simply want a better understanding of themselves and why they think, feel, or react the way they do. Whether you’re navigating college life, relationships, family dynamics, career decisions, or personal growth, we aim to provide a space that feels supportive, thoughtful, and genuine. Our approach combines practical tools with deeper self-reflection, helping you build insight, develop healthier patterns, and take meaningful steps toward the life you want to create.
As a Licensed Clinical Social Worker operating remotely in Florida, North Carolina, South Carolina and Massachusetts. I specialize in personalized therapy for individuals who are navigating the tumultuous waters of anxiety, depression, diminished self-worth, strained relationships, and significant life changes. Are you feeling overwhelmed by the pain of past experiences or daunting emotions? Are they negatively impacting your relationships and professional life? Are you starting college and feeling overwhelmed and having difficulty adjusting to college life? We will work together to change that narrative.
We can all benefit from gaining insights, learning skills, and having “tune ups” along the way. If you’re feeling stuck, struggling with how you feel about yourself or in relationship with someone, experiencing unwanted or intrusive thoughts or memories from a past experience, ruminating on negative thoughts or beliefs, or feeling anxious or depressive symptoms, you don’t have to walk through it alone! Our therapists use various counseling approaches that include evidence based treatments like Cognitive-Behavioral Therapy, Acceptance and Commitment Therapy, EMDR, and Dialectical Behavioral Therapy. Because we are out of network, we can also get creative within our work with you. We’ll utilize appropriate techniques such as music or walk-and-talk therapy and can even take “field trips” with you if we deem it beneficial in your treatment (ie- restaurant outings, exposure therapy for certain phobias, home visits, etc.)

Navigating the transition to college and early adulthood can be exciting, but it can also be incredibly stressful and overwhelming. Are you struggling to manage the pressures of academics, relationships, or being away from home? Do you find yourself constantly worrying, feeling down, or having difficulty sleeping? Are you experiencing conflict with parents, peers, or even professors? Are you questioning whether college is the right path for you, or if you're pursuing it due to external pressure? Everyone experiences some level of stress during this time, but if these feelings are persistent and impacting your daily life, or causing significant relationship strain, it might be helpful to talk to someone. Counseling provides a safe space to explore these challenges, develop coping strategies, and clarify your own goals and values. Our virtual sessions offer the flexibility to meet before, between, or after classes, making it easier than ever to prioritize your mental well-being as you navigate this new chapter. I work best with students who are navigating big life transitions, managing stress, or feeling overwhelmed by expectations—whether that’s from school, family, relationships, or themselves. Many of the students I have seen are deep feelers who carry a lot on their shoulders but don’t always feel like they can ask for help. They may struggle with anxiety, depression, identity exploration, or trauma from earlier life experiences. Therapy with me is a space to unpack all of that without pressure to be perfect. You don’t have to have it all figured out—just come as you are.
I have always had a calling for helping others, and I am so grateful to have found the career path of clinical social work. I was inspired to become a therapist after I met with a therapist after my father passed away when I was a young girl. I know first-hand how scary it can be to share your story, but trust me having an un-biased, non-judgmental, listening ear can go a long way. I have gained valuable skills working in various settings, including non-profit work, public health, research, and inpatient hospitalization. My experiences have allowed me to work with people of all ages, across diverse backgrounds, and on the individual, family, and group level. I work with individuals aged 12 and up, couples, and families. Prior to joining Wake Counseling & Mediation, I worked with adults who have chronic health conditions using my training in Lifestyle Medicine, a holistic approach to preventing disease through nutrition, exercise, and self-care habits. I additionally have worked closely with the gender diverse population by addressing anxiety, depression, and gender dysphoria, creating a support group, and engaging in research to better gender affirming care. I also have clinical experience in counseling pregnant & postpartum women, their children and families. Depending on your needs, I utilize a variety of modalities including Solutions-Focused, Psychodynamic, Acceptance & Commitment Therapy, Cognitive Behavioral Therapy, Narrative Therapy, and Exposure Therapy. I prefer to use a multicultural, person-centered, and strengths-based lens in all situations. No matter the setting or population, I provide a passionate and caring approach for patients to work through all of life’s challenges, whether that be chronic illness, major life transitions, mental health concerns including anxiety, depression trauma, and sexual or gender identity journey. As a counselor, I am here to listen, partner with you, and offer support for you to overcome obstacles, meet your goals, and ultimately live your best life possible.

Hardworking, ambitious, fucking exhausted. I work with women (18–30) who look like they have it together but are absolutely depleting themselves to stay that way. They’re responsible, creative, used to handling a lot…but they’re tired of overthinking, second-guessing, or feeling like no matter how hard they work, it’s never enough. Some have anxiety, depression, ADHD, or trauma histories. Others just know something feels off, that life feels heavier than it should. Often, they’re great at coping on the outside, which can make it hard to admit they’re struggling at all. But let’s be honest: Appearing “fine” is a full-time job. In therapy, we slow things down on purpose. We look at the patterns you’ve been stuck in — people-pleasing, avoidance, self-criticism — and figure out what’s actually driving them. We work with your nervous system instead of fighting against it. We build practical tools that help you move forward in your life. My style is warm, direct, & honest. I care deeply about my clients and will absolutely challenge you when it matters. I use EMDR, ACT, & DBT skills in ways that are personal and actually useful.
