Being a student can be tough! Balancing classes, friends, and work while adjusting to a new living situation. Maybe even feeling less confident when we never struggled in that area before. Sometimes we don't recognize that we are struggling with anxiety or depression...and that there is help! If you are struggling with anxiety, depression, self-confidence, difficulties with managing emotions, I can help! You don't need to know how therapy works. We will talk and get to know each other, then sort out together the areas where you can grow strengths to match your new experience.
Cannon Wellness Collective PLLC is passionate about helping others navigate challenges in life. The owner, Nedra Cannon, has been in the field working with college age students, clients who have navigated racial trauma, sex therapy, in need of DBT, EMDR, and CBT. Thinking about seeking mental health counseling? First, you need to find a counselor you can trust and someone you feel "gets you". Being truthful and vulnerable are keys to good work. You need to feel free to address your concerns, fears, grief, shame, hurt, etc. We go the extra mile to help support positive change. It takes courage to face and embrace change. We are currently accepting new telehealth clients. We enjoy working with people who are navigating sexual trauma, anxiety, depression, emotion dysregulation, racial trauma, and phase of life matters. We strongly advocate for mental health and support one's journey in seeking help. We work from a holistic perspective to address the relationship between one’s mind, body, and special condition in order to achieve the desired outcome. We are committed to a strength-based perspective in our clinical practice as a way to support and encourage self-motivation and the clients that are served.
Feel like you’re either running at 100 mph or totally crashed on the couch? You’re not lazy — you’re burned out. College can feel like a nonstop sprint: classes, exams, internships, social life, and the pressure to have it all together. Maybe you procrastinate on assignments, overthink every decision, or call yourself “lazy” when you’re actually running on empty. My clients often feel like they “should” be doing more, even when they’re already stretched thin. Together, we’ll unpack that pressure, figure out where the self-doubt comes from, and help you feel more confident without sacrificing your sanity or who you really are. In our sessions, you don’t have to show up with it all together — it’s okay to feel messy, tired, or unsure. You can bring yourself as you are. We'll figure it out.

School can be exciting, overwhelming, and full of change. For many students, being in a campus environment can also bring increased body image pressures, stress, and challenges with eating, making this a time when eating disorders, OCD, anxiety, and other mental health concerns often show up or become more intense. I've spent years specializing in eating disorders and OCD across higher levels of care and outpatient private practice, giving me the experience to support you wherever you are in your recovery. My goal is to create a warm, collaborative space where you can build practical tools, feel more like yourself, and spend less time stuck in symptoms and more time living the life you want.

I also focus on behavioral health problems and trauma therapy. Trauma appears in various forms with a wide range of symptoms. Trauma can be an extremely hard topic to discuss. I provide a safe and confidential space to share big feelings and push past potential barriers. I have interactive toys, games, and educational material that are productive towards session. I would love to be a part of your journey in healing within therapy. Finding a good therapist that suits you is extremely important. I offer virtual (online) sessions only at this time. Some sessions can be made by appointment if openings are not noted on my calendar - just ask! Sometimes the anxiety and depression that come with life changes, trauma, relationship issues or job stress can be distracting and affect our ability to thrive. When people work through their thoughts and feelings, they often report feeling more clarity and a deeper sense of vitality and purpose. You can expect to be gently challenged to explore your experiences in a safe, kind and private space when you work with me. I've helped people find more confident self expression in decision-making and relationships. I've also had people report performing better in sports, school or the arts. Many people find themselves making better, more positive behavioral changes as they feel better emotionally. I use an eclectic mix of theories, often including psychodynamic work, in therapy to include the entire person: mind, body and soul. I try to educate and empower people to use practical tools they learn in therapy in realistic, lifelong ways. It takes courage to be vulnerable and acknowledge you'd like some help along this journey. I know because I've been there myself. Take the first step and I'll meet you there.
My favorite thing in the world is to affirm for someone that their feelings matter. I want you to feel safe expressing all of your thoughts and emotions. There is no problem too big or too small to talk about. No matter the situation, your reactions and feelings are important. I view therapy as a collaborative process. My clients tell me what they need help with, and we work together to figure out what their best course of action is. My job isn’t to tell you what to do and send you away. My job is to listen to you and empower you to take action to improve your life. I work with children, teens, adults, and families. My specialties include mood disorders (anxiety and depression), self-esteem issues, and ADHD. I use an eclectic approach, meaning that I tailor your therapeutic experience to fit your specific needs. I’ll share my insights with you, as well as coping skills for you to try outside of session. I provide a space where you are safe to be open and authentic and can talk about whatever you need. I’m here for you and would be honored to walk alongside you in your journey toward a stronger, healthier life.
