Therapists for college students near Boston, MA
Whether you are at a crossroads in your life, feeling stuck, overwhelmed, or sensing your life is not what it could be, help is available. As helpers, we are committed to meeting you exactly where you are by using our collection of professional tools to assist you to reach your highest potential through connection to your “true” self, the part of you who is waiting to be rediscovered and made manifest. Our orientation as therapists combines our understanding of human development, psychology, and behavioral change with wisdom and practice that is woven through most spiritual traditions. You need not consider yourself a spiritual person, nor do we insist on a particular belief system. This is only to say that our orientation integrates this awareness as an element of healing. Our ultimate goal is to empower you to free yourself from the patterns that keep you from fully thriving and to help you create the life you want to be living. It is an act of courage, not weakness, to allow others to help you.
At The Leggett Group, we provide a safe, compassionate environment for healing. We realize that college students face unique challenges and deserve a customized treatment plan to meet their specific needs. Our goal is to treat the entire person starting with an assessment and full treatment plan. We provide individual therapy, couples therapy and even medication when needed. At The Leggett Group, we are individually and collectively committed to dismantling white supremacy and all forms of oppression. Hi! I'm Yasmine. I work clinically with adolescents, teenagers, and young adults grappling with issues ranging from anxiety to trauma to cultural identity shifts. Therapy creates a space to better understand ourselves and the way our past impacts our present. In sessions, I work with clients to uncover patterns that contribute to an overall feeling of dissatisfaction in life. This provides the roadmap to help clients build a life that feels full, joyful, and meaningful. Clients tell me that I am warm, non-judgemental, and bring a welcome sense of humor into sessions. Therapy can be hard work. But it is work that I love doing and something that I take very seriously. My practice is informed by my interest in psychology, sociology, anthropology, and feminist studies. I earned my Bachelor's Degree in Anthropology from Brown University and my Master's in Social Work from the University of Pennsylvania. In the past decade, I have lived in Senegal, Colombia, the Dominican Republic and Lebanon, and I bring a multicultural perspective into the therapeutic space.

Hello and welcome! I'm glad you're here. As a clinical social worker in Massachusetts (LICSW) and Florida (LCSW), I am passionate about working with adult clients of all backgrounds. I particularly enjoy helping individuals find their footing during major life transitions. Whether you are transitioning from high school to college, navigating health challenges, or experiencing relationship or employment changes, I'm happy to provide an honest, collaborative space for fostering growth!
I strive to create a strong, collaborative, and secure therapeutic relationship where you feel truly seen and understood. Together, we explore not just the challenges you’re facing, but also your strengths, values, and goals—both in therapy and in life. Many clients come to me ready to examine and unlearn patterns that no longer serve them. They’re seeking to address anxiety and depressed mood, life transitions, and/or interpersonal dynamics. Often their goals are to strive for meaningful change, greater self-awareness, and the skills to navigate life in a way that aligns with who they truly are. I work with them to develop practical strategies that promote resilience, balance, and a sense of empowerment. My approach to therapy is comprehensive, client-centered, and rooted in social justice, relational mindfulness, and purposeful self-reflection. I value collaboration and ensure that assessment, diagnosis, and treatment are tailored to each person’s unique experience. Above all, I am committed to providing a non-judgmental space where compassion, empathy, and support are met with clear, honest, and practical guidance. My passion is equipping clients with tools they can carry long after therapy ends—helping them shift unhelpful thought patterns, manage emotions more effectively, and confidently navigate life’s many demands. The more skills we develop, the more equipped you’ll be to handle future challenges with clarity and confidence.
My name is Caitlin and I am a licensed individual and family therapist with ten years of clinical experience. I enjoy helping people become their authentic selves through the creation of a strong therapeutic alliance in which people feel comfortable addressing negative thoughts and processing life experiences. I support individuals working to overcome life's challenges related to anxiety, depression, relationship stress, and parenting difficulties. I also have specialized training in working with transgender and gender exploring individuals.
About My Practice My practice is centered around helping individuals work through the emotional challenges that leave them feeling stuck. I know that reaching out for help can be a vulnerable step, and I’m here to support you as you navigate your unique dilemmas. Together, we’ll explore what’s weighing on you and find a path toward healing and relief. My Approach With over six years of experience in the field, my practice has been influenced by Compassionate Inquiry, developed by Gabor Maté, and Internal Family Systems (IFS) therapy. These approaches help you understand and connect with yourself more deeply. Through Compassionate Inquiry, we’ll uncover the root causes of your challenges, leading to greater self-acceptance and clarity. IFS allows you to connect with different parts of yourself, helping to heal inner conflicts and promote self-compassion. Healing and Growth I’m dedicated to helping you connect with your core self while releasing the burdens that hold you back. Many people struggle with self-worth, self-control, and the weight of past experiences. My approach helps those trapped in destructive patterns attain more flexibility and freedom. Within the safety of our relationship, you can begin to let go of pain and find relief in the present from whatever has been burdening you. How We Will Work Everybody thinks and feels at their own speed. We will spend as much time as needed to find a pace and flow that works well for you. As we do, we will explore your inner resources and develop practical tools for navigating life’s challenges. This journey can lead to a more authentic life filled with meaningful relationships and a renewed sense of possibility. Along the way, I will do all that I can to create a welcoming space where you can share your experiences without judgment while feeling truly seen.
