In my work with individuals experiencing substance-related challenges, I have found that a direct, solution-focused approach is often effective in creating meaningful change. At the same time, it is important to explore and understand the underlying reasons substance use exists and the needs it is attempting to meet. I approach this work from a non-judgmental perspective that emphasizes acceptance and self-compassion. By helping clients understand these patterns and develop healthier thoughts, coping strategies, and behaviors, the goal is to support lasting change, greater self-acceptance, and improved overall well-being. My clinical style is direct and solution-focused. Since 2012, I have developed extensive experience in both medication-assisted treatment and community mental health settings. I have been a licensed clinician since 2015 and hold a Master’s degree in Counseling. My primary therapeutic approaches include MI, ACT and CBT/DBT From the first session, my goal is to begin an open and honest dialogue to better understand the client’s goals, needs, and personal style. I also encourage a collaborative process that is open to discussion and feedback. Together, we work to develop a thoughtful and purposeful course of treatment that supports mindfulness, meaning, and overall well-being.

Are you seeking to understand yourself better? Are you looking to make sense of your relationship dynamics? Do you wish things were better, but you don't know how to get there? You CAN feel empowered by an expanding of your understanding, gathering insight, and educating the choices you make in how you decide to live your life. I work with couples, and adults to help make sense of obstacles, understand how relationship histories effect life today, and become more comfortable with themselves. This is done in an atmosphere where you are accepted for who you are. We can discuss your goals. Many people feel uncomfortable considering therapy as an option for themselves. It can be difficult asking for help, believing that asking for help means we are inadequate in some way. In a do-it-yourself culture, reaching out to others can cause us to feel like we are less than, but trying to meet our own needs is actually a strength. My clients often report that they have gained more insight into their lives, that they feel more at home within themselves and more capable of handling life's difficulties as they inevitably arise. Couples leave my office feeling like they understand themselves and their partner more clearly, and report greater relationship satisfaction.

I strive to offer a compassionate, collaborative environment where you can feel understood and empowered to move toward meaningful change. I believe every person holds inherent inner strengths, even when they feel buried beneath pain. Together, we’ll gently explore what’s been shaping your experiences and reconnect with the internal resources that support a more fulfilling, authentic, and liberated life. I work with adults navigating emotional eating and eating disorders, addictions, trauma, relational conflicts, life transitions, challenges related to immigrant experiences, and the exploration of spiritual themes. My approach is trauma-informed and grounded in evidence-based modalities, with Internal Family Systems, Acceptance and Commitment Therapy, and Motivational Interviewing as core components. My personal journey as a first-generation immigrant informs the way I approach therapy and deepens my respect for the cultural uniqueness of each client.

As well as optimize their emotional health/ well-being and are seeking tools to assist them in the process. I take an active and collaborative approach to help create tangible strategies to deal more effectively in the moment with difficult experiences and feelings. In addition to helping people alleviate current pain points, I assist in obtaining skills to develop a wellness practice that will be beneficial beyond sessions. My approach is person-centered and informed by evidence-based practices, including Lifestyle Medicine (nutrition, physical activity, sleep hygiene, and stress management), Cognitive Behavioral Therapy, Mindfulness Practice and Solution Focused Therapy. My practice specialization is focused on women’s issues and perinatal mental health. In response to the recent changes in access to women's reproductive healthcare, many of us are feeling confused, scared, (and p*ssed off!). I provide a safe space for women to process whatever emotions they may be feeling as a result of their direct experiences or related to future concerns. I believe that the relationship between clinician & client is the foundation for a successful therapy experience. Please know that I realize how difficult it is to connect with a “stranger” when you are feeling overwhelmed and vulnerable. Therapy can be challenging, but it can also be very enlightening. It can also be light-hearted & fun. (I guarantee a few laughs during each session!) I utilize a variety of therapy techniques, which ultimately allows for flexibility in making sure that you get what you need in a way that works for you.

Many students I work with are managing the pressure of new responsibilities, identity questions, or feeling stretched too thin — I help them build tools to feel steadier and more in control. I'm bilingual (English/Spanish) and bicultural, and I especially welcome students navigating cultural identity, family expectations, or the experience of being between two worlds. Sessions are fully virtual, making it easy to fit therapy around a class schedule from anywhere in Massachusetts.
