I am a licensed mental health counselor. My goal is to support clients with their mental health as well as stress management, relationship issues, and finding the appropriate services. Therapy does not have to solely be for people in crisis. Being proactive with your mental health and attending therapy can have long-lasting benefits. My first goal when starting with a client is building rapport. In order for therapy to be effective, there needs to be a mutual trust between the client and therapist. I primarily use a cognitive behavioral and person centered approach to therapy. Although every session typically includes “talk therapy,” I also try to use a variety of interventions. Hi! I'm Kade- a queer, nonbinary therapist that got bored of doing traditional therapy. Now, I work with clients in the outdoors (think: walk and talk therapy, or hanging out by a creek, or making nature art) or offer to bring in art and nature into our office or virtual sessions. I primarily work with LGBTQIA+ clients as well as those figuring out life after leaving or reconsidering religion.
