Welcome! For the past decade, I have had the honor of working with children and adolescents, young adults, parents, individuals, and families. As a therapist, I strive to support individuals in their work to feel more emotionally regulated, happier, and confident about themselves and their abilities in different various aspects of life. My clinical practice is grounded in frameworks of CBT, ACT, and DBT, and I integrate various modalities to ensure my approach aligns with every client's unique needs. I am direct, experienced, and warm; with me, therapy is a collaborative process through which we can step back together and look at challenges you are experiencing through a lens of curiosity. You have many strengths that have gotten you to this point in time, and we will tap into these to help you move towards more fulfillment in life.
Therapy is more than just about managing symptoms—it’s about getting curious, feeling seen, feeling empowered, and building a life that feels more like you. I meet my clients where they’re at, offering a safe, judgment-free space to explore the deeper roots behind patterns, self-beliefs, and emotional struggles. Together, we’ll look at how your past, including childhood and environment, may still be shaping your present. I work with individuals navigating through addiction, substance use recovery, anxiety, ADHD, life transitions/adjusting, depression, and the stress that can come with daily life. My approach is collaborative, client-centered, and trauma-informed while working towards helping you understand the “why” behind your patterns—aiming to build tools that actually fit your life. Therapy with me is a space to feel heard, supported and safe. I believe in your ability to grow, heal, and make empowered choices. You don’t have to do this alone, and I’d be honored to walk with you through the process. If you think I might be a good fit, feel free to reach out. I’d be happy to connect and talk about how I can support you on your journey.

I am a psychiatrist in private practice for over 20 years, treating patients by integrating psychotherapy, psychoanalysis and, when indicated psychopharmacology. As a physician, I am able to evaluate patients with symptoms which may be medical or psychiatric in origin, understanding the mind-body connection. I see a broad range of patients, some suffering from major mental illness to those healthy individuals seeking to learn more about themselves. A major focus of my private practice is working with college and graduate students. I see students as young as seniors in high school and consult to parents of college age students around the country. I am an Affiliated Psychiatrist at Beth Israel Deaconess Medical Center, and Instructor, Harvard Medical School from 1994-2014. I am a Diplomat, American Board of Psychiatry and Neurology re-certified in 2014. I was a staff psychiatrist at Sarah Lawrence College, and more recently, Senior Psychiatric Consultant at Brandeis University from 1997-2012. I believe that every patient is unique, reflecting their development, family history, neuropsychology, traumas, and life experiences. My role is to help the patient develop an integrated personal narrative, exploring unconscious conflicts, understanding the experience of self in relation to others, and to take responsibility, not just for their difficulties, but their strengths as well.
I work exclusively with females in college with a specialization in anxiety, depression, adjustment to college and low self esteem. This is a safe space to process antisemitism on college campuses.
My approach to therapy incorporates cognitive-behavioral, systems, and relational approaches, with a strength-based foundation. I challenge clients to think about themselves and the world in more adaptive ways, while also making meaningful behavioral changes that allows them to move closer to achieving personal goals. I view treatment as a collaborative and dynamic process that benefits from monitoring and adjustment to boost growth and outcomes. I believe a strong therapeutic relationship, paired with evidence-based skills and tools, are vital to lasting change. I strive to provide a warm, empowering, and gently challenging space for my clients to find hope, develop understanding, and cope with challenges.
