PHP program Our PHP program is designed for individuals who require a structured and supportive environment while they work towards their recovery goals. This program provides a higher level of care than traditional outpatient treatment, offering a full day of therapy and support. Our experienced team of addiction specialists and mental health professionals will work closely with each client to develop a personalized treatment plan that addresses their unique needs and challenges. Through a combination of evidence-based therapies, individual counseling, group therapy sessions, and holistic approaches, we aim to empower individuals to overcome addiction and build a solid foundation for lasting recovery. IOP program Our IOP program is ideal for individuals who have completed a higher level of care, such as PHP or inpatient treatment and are ready to transition to a less intensive level of support. This program offers a flexible schedule that accommodates work, school, and other responsibilities, while still providing the necessary structure and guidance for continued recovery. Clients in our IOP program will participate in individual therapy sessions, group therapy, relapse prevention education, and other therapeutic activities that promote healing and growth. At The Recovery Team Newton We understand that addiction is a complex and multifaceted disease that affects individuals physically, mentally, and emotionally. We provide a range of amenities and services to enhance the treatment experience, including comfortable living spaces, nutritious meals, recreational activities, and access to outdoor spaces. Our goal is to create an environment that promotes healing, relaxation, and personal growth. We value the importance of ongoing support and aftercare. We understand that recovery is a lifelong journey, and we are committed to providing our clients with the tools and resources they need to maintain sobriety beyond their time in our programs. Our aftercare services include relapse prevention planning, alumni support groups, individual counseling, and referrals to community resources. We strive to empower our clients to build a strong support network and continue their recovery efforts long after they have completed our programs.
Choosing a therapist is a personal decision, and finding the right fit matters. My style is warm, collaborative, and grounded in the belief that a strong therapeutic relationship is the foundation for meaningful change. I recognize that therapy is not one-size-fits-all. I take an integrative approach that draws from evidence-based practices and is thoughtfully tailored to each client’s unique needs, strengths, goals, and personal style. For more than two decades, I have worked extensively with high school, college, and graduate students in both community mental health and private practice settings. I have also served as an instructor in Boston College's Mental Health Counseling program and a supervisor at the Brookline Community Mental Health Center where I have had the privilege of helping to train future therapists. I am based in Newton Centre and also provide services virtually. I look forward to meeting you.

I look forward to setting up a time to speak with you after you review my clinical background and training. They also appreciate my ability to help them identify practical solutions to the academic and emotional issues that they voice in our meetings. My wide range of clinical experiences allow me to help my patients move through treatment with a sense of energy and a feeling that their strengths are both appreciated and enhanced throughout the treatment process. This close relationship allows them to open-up and identify a pathway forward in their life that is meaningful, clear, and solid. I am a pre-Licensed Mental Health Counselor (LMHC) and a Registered Drama Therapist (RDT). If you are feeling anxious, exploring your identities, transitioning to different cultures, environments, or age groups, I am here for you. I create a safe space for you to be heard and feel authentic. Being fluent in Japanese and coming from a different cultural background, my approach is rooted in understanding diverse emotional and cultural perspectives of my clients. I have experience providing individual and group therapy to clients ranging from children to adults with neurodevelopmental disorders, as well as those navigating anxiety, life and/or cultural transitions and trauma. My specialty is expressive therapies, particularly drama therapy. I can utilize drama therapy or expressive arts-based approach if you think that might be helpful. Words sometimes cannot articulate everything you are feeling or experiencing, but I believe imagination, embodied expression, and play can narrate them in different ways. My goal is to support you by navigating your challenges and embracing your unique stories. If you think using words in another language other than English can express your emotions well, we can explore that too. We can find a healthy relationship with your challenges by utilizing your innate creativity. 日本語でもどうぞ!

As a psychologist with a passion for supporting young adults, I’ve had the privilege of working in college mental health settings at institutions like MIT, Tufts, and Boston College. My experience spans all ages, allowing me to connect with people at different life stages. I specialize in LGBTQ psychology and have a strong foundation in women’s and gender issues. I thrive on exploring cultural identities and helping individuals navigate their journeys, whether it’s related to gender and sexuality, race and ethnicity, or the challenges of emerging adulthood. I’m also highly skilled in treating anxiety and depression, and I have specialized training in postpartum mental health. My approach is rooted in psychodynamic therapy, viewed through a multicultural lens. I focus on understanding how your unique life experiences and intersecting identities shape your perspective. Together, we’ll create a collaborative relationship that fosters empowerment, builds skills, and promotes lasting change. As a first-generation, bilingual Armenian American woman, I deeply understand how cultural identities influence mental health and experiences of marginalization. I believe this insight is a powerful asset in our work together. Therapy can be a transformative journey, and I’m here to support your growth and healing every step of the way. <script src="https://thrivingcampus.com/verified.js?pid=26568"></script>
I am thrilled to announce the opening of THRIVE Psychiatric Care, LLC with my partner Elizabeth Morrison AGNP-C, PMHNP- BC. We offer comprehensive psychiatric evaluations and medication management services to adults age 18 and over in the state of MA. I take an integrative, whole-person approach to care. Welcome and thank you for inquiring about therapy with me. The bulk of my experience is in treating children, adolescents and young adults with a diverse set of concerns, including anxiety, depression, adjustment, identity development, etc. Because I believe the connection held between therapist and client is the most important indicator of success, even if your concern isn't listed here, please reach out to see if we might be a good match. I work from an eclectic framework, beginning first with developing a strong therapeutic reliance. From there, I borrow from modalities such as ACT, Humanistic and CBT to tailor a treatment just right for you. The best way to learn if we'll be a good match is to reach out to me directly. I'm happy to answer any questions you have on our free initial consultation. Additionally, I can help you navigate how to find out if your insurance company will reimburse for my out-of-network services.
When everything feels like too much, therapy shouldn’t add to the pressure. I'm a liberatory therapist working with kids and adults facing life transitions and overwhelm. I don’t believe in forcing people to fit systems that weren’t built for them. Instead, I center you—your needs, your truth, and your pace. Using humanistic and cognitive approaches, I offer a grounded space where we can explore what’s hard, celebrate your strengths, and move toward a more authentic sense of self. With compassion, humor, and curiosity, we’ll challenge the stories that are holding you back—and build new ones that feel like yours.
Hi, I am a licensed mental health counselor and a school psychologist. I have enjoyed working with adolescents in group, outpatient, and school settings. In my practice, I encourage building self-awareness and coping strategies that can support your well-being and a healthy lifestyle.
I help clients who are struggling with overwhelming emotions. Specifically, this can be anxiety related to things like social issues and pervasive worry, or intrusive thoughts related to obsessive-compulsive disorder or trauma.
My clients often seek therapy when they are feeling overwhelmed, anxious, or burnt out. They are amidst a transition — starting college, beginning or ending a relationship, changing jobs, or becoming a parent. Others are feeling stuck and need support navigating friendships, partnerships, family dynamics, and careers. I believe that effective therapy happens when the client and therapist have an authentic, trusting relationship, and the client is invested in their healing. Therapy is a dynamic conversation geared towards your needs-to be challenged, validated, empowered, or understood; every session is designed to meet you where you are both that day and in their overall therapeutic journey. I value the use of humor and authentic connection. I primarily utilize psychodynamic therapy, CBT, and attachment theory, all within a trauma informed lens. Current and past clients have highlighted that they valued my authenticity as a person and provider, that I created a non-judgmental, accepting, and empathetic space where they felt truly seen and cared for, and that our work together has been valuable and healing. Please reach out via email for an initial consultation.
