Ava Humphrey
Hi! I'm Ava, and my approach to therapy is grounded in creating a safe, welcoming, empowering, and nonjudgmental space for people from all backgrounds. I aim to meet you exactly where you are with curiosity, care, collaboration, and respect for your lived experience, while also encouraging reflection and personal growth. I believe therapy should be personalized to each client’s concerns, which is why I use a variety of therapeutic approaches, including motivational interviewing, acceptance and commitment therapy, dialectical behavior therapy, cognitive behavior therapy, psychoanalysis, and Internal Family Systems. I enjoy working with clients of all genders, ages, and backgrounds, including women, men, transgender, and non-binary individuals. My experience covers a broad spectrum of issues, such as trauma, borderline personality disorder, OCD, mood disorders like anxiety, depression, bipolar disorder, as well as adjustment difficulties, anger issues, identity questions, substance use, and self-esteem concerns. In addition to working with a wide range of concerns, I am especially passionate about helping young adults and developing expertise in supporting male survivors of sexual trauma. I am a pre-licensed counselor currently accepting new clients, available both virtually and in person. I earned my bachelor’s degree in psychology from Fordham University and my Master of Arts in Mental Health Counseling from Boston College.
Liz Spiller
Hi, I’m Liz! I’m a mental health clinician with a warm, collaborative, and relational approach to therapy. I provide individual counseling to clients across the lifespan, supporting children, adolescents, and adults as they navigate anxiety, life transitions, and personal growth. I believe that the therapeutic relationship is at the foundation of meaningful change. My goal is to create a safe, compassionate, and nonjudgmental space where clients feel heard, understood, and supported. I approach therapy from a holistic, strengths-based perspective, meeting each client where they are and honoring their unique experiences, identities, and goals. My therapeutic approach integrates evidence-based practices, including Cognitive Behavioral Therapy, mindfulness-based techniques, somatic awareness, and attachment-informed work. I tailor therapy to each client’s individual needs, helping clients build insight, develop coping strategies, and strengthen self-compassion. I earned my Master’s degree in Clinical Mental Health Counseling from Lesley University and my Bachelor’s degree in Elementary Education from the University of Maine. Before becoming a clinician, I worked as an elementary teacher, teaching students in kindergarten, first, and second grade. My background in education continues to inform my work with clients of all ages, allowing me to bring a developmental and compassionate perspective to the therapeutic relationship.
Reese Johnson
I believe in a client-centered therapeutic approach that is collaborative and strengths-based. I strive to create a warm, welcoming, and nonjudgemental space where you feel comfortable being your most authentic self. My goal is to work alongside you, building on your strengths to navigate any challenges you may be facing. I hold a Bachelor's degree in Applied Psychology and Human Development and a Master's in Social Work, both from Boston College. Much of my experience comes from my work in the Boston Public Schools System where I supported students experiencing symptoms of anxiety and depression, as well as those navigating change, difficult life transitions, and interpersonal conflict. I also have experience in the humanitarian sector, supporting mental health and psychosocial well-being in diverse settings. In therapy, I draw from a variety of evidence-based modalities such as Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT), Solution-Focused Therapy, Narrative Therapy, Play Therapy, and more. I believe there is no one-size-fits-all approach; together we will discover the strategies and skills that work best for you. In my free time, I enjoy reading, cooking, spending time with friends and family, and being outdoors whenever I can. I offer both in-person and telehealth appointments!

Sara Lucas
Hi, I’m Sara (she/her). My approach to therapy is warm, honest, curious, non-judgmental, and above all, relational. My primary focus is on co-creating an authentic therapeutic relationship where you experience the safety, empathy, and trust which make room for experimenting with new ways of thinking and being. I believe there is no one “right” way to engage in therapy, just as there is no one “right” way to live a life. Sometimes we need to deeply understand (and mourn) the past, sometimes we need practical tools for navigating a challenging present, and sometimes we simply need space to be witnessed without having to hold it all together. I am interested in working with clients across the lifespan and with a variety of presenting concerns. Our work might range from open-ended “talk therapy” to more structured interventions depending on what works best for you. You certainly don’t need to come in knowing exactly what you need out of therapy, either: we can figure it all out together! My work is integrative, drawing from a variety of theoretical orientations including trauma- and complex trauma-informed, attachment-informed, psychodynamic, and cognitive-behavioral. I have clinical interest and prior experience in working with complex trauma survivors as well as with adult women with lived experience in the commercial sex trade, including trafficking and exploitation. In addition to counseling, I am a member of the Human Trafficking Research Hub at William James College, where I contribute to research on the psychological consequences of sex trafficking. I received my Master’s in Clinical Mental Health Counseling with a Holistic Studies specialization from Lesley University and a B.A. in English and Creative Writing from Wellesley College (Go Blue!). Whether or not we end up working together, I hope the right help finds you, and that whatever you’re holding grows lighter to carry.

William Davidson
My therapeutic approach is evidence-based, client centered, treatments delivered with compassion, humor and intelligence. I specialize in Cognitive Behavioral Therapy and include elements of Dialectical Behavior Therapy and Art Therapy. Cognitive behavioral therapy is a psychosocial intervention that is the most widely used evidence-based practice for improving mental health. Guided by empirical research, CBT focuses on the development of personal coping strategies that target solving current problems and changing unhelpful patterns in cognitions (e.g. thoughts, beliefs, and attitudes), behaviors, and emotional regulation.
