Gabriel Pastel
Through a caring therapeutic relationship I work with college students and new-professionals to explore the areas of their lives they would like to better understand or change. For many this includes a desire for more contentment, relief from excessive worry, improved relationships, increased self-esteem, and better experiences at work or in school. My style is friendly, interactive, and tailored to each person’s needs. I provide a non-judgmental, welcoming space to gain insight, process emotions, and develop new coping strategies. I specialize in working with those affected by anxiety and depression using a solution focused, cognitive-behavioral approach. If you are ready to give therapy a try, please email me to schedule a phone consultation. We can talk about what you are looking for and if I would be a good fit as a therapist for you. I look forward to hearing from you!

I am currently offering EMDR Intensive sessions to accelerate healing. I am a certified EMDR clinician, specializing in trauma and attachment work. I value the therapeutic relationship and believe that clients need to feel safe enough in therapy in order to dig deep and do the work. Sarah Mitchell
I am a clinical social worker (LICSW) with over 25 years of experience working with young adults and families across a variety of settings. My areas of expertise include anxiety, depression, parental guidance, attachment, family systems and relationship issues. I deeply value authenticity and strive to create a trusting relationship with my clients. My approach is grounded in family system theory but draws on a variety of methods including Internal Family Systems (IFS), Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT) and Narrative Therapy to create a tailored approach for each individual person. I am committed to helping clients determine problem clarity, as I believe this is essential to achieving problem resolution. The feelings of anxiety, sadness and inner conflict can feel so overwhelming. My work focuses on engaging collaboratively with people to fully understand the roots of their personal pain and create pathways to healing emotional wounds. We are in a conversation with ourselves all day long, and when we become more aware of how we talk to ourselves, it gives us the opportunity to become more gentle and compassionate with ourselves. Clients who work with me learn how to transform the internal conversation and shift their thoughts, patterns and ultimately their lives for the better.

Whether you are dealing with day-to-day stressors, or those brought on by major life transitions, learning how to identify and manage the feelings you experience can be vital to having happy, healthy relationships with others and with yourself. It’s my belief that each individual is the expert on themselves. My role in sessions is to be curious and work with you to explore challenges, experiences, and emotions. Through this exploration we can create a “tool box” of skills and strategies that work best for you. I encourage you to reach out if you are interested in starting services. Finding a therapist who is right for you is important, and I am more than happy to answer any questions you may have!
