As a dually licensed therapist in Indiana and Illinois, I offer a unique advantage to clients who attend school out of state and return home during the summer. This dual licensure ensures continuity of care, eliminating the need to switch therapists or interrupt treatment. My therapeutic style is warm, direct, and focused on building a strong connection with my clients. Through this approach, I strive to create a safe space where individuals can explore their challenges and work towards growth and healing. I firmly believe in using evidence-based practices to address a wide range of conditions effectively. What sets me apart from other therapists is my ability to infuse humor into the healing process when appropriate. I have found that incorporating humor and creativity empowers individuals to embrace imperfections and build resilience. If you are interested in starting therapy, feel free to reach out for a complimentary consultation where we can explore if my approach aligns with your needs.

Someone who is able to accept change and accept aspects that are out of their control. I have much experience working with trauma, anxiety, depression, anger, identity, addiction and many mental health issues. I thoroughly enjoy helping people overcome problematic areas and enabling individuals to live a full and meaningful life. I feel strongly about the empowerment of the client and healing the mind, body and spirit. I have extensive training in trauma: Cognitive Process Therapy [CPT], Prolonged Exposure [PE], Eye Movement Desensitization Reprocessing [EMDR], Suicide Risk Assessments, Sub-Acute, Residential & In-Patient treatment. I have extensive training & experience with Addiction treatment: In-patient, Residential, IOP, Out-patient, Intervention, Program Development, college faculty, college level therapy. I maintain a safe space for individuals to explore interpersonal conflicts that cause emotional pain. Change starts with the individual's understanding of what is not currently working. Hi! Like many therapists, I'm a 30-something cis, white woman who likes earth tones and metaphors. I especially enjoy working with individuals with mood disorders, complex trauma, chronic illness, and psychosis, as well as those who identify as artists/creatives and recovering perfectionists. I draw from various modalities including Acceptance and Commitment Therapy, Health at Every Size (HAES), Narrative Therapy, and EMDR. However, my most impactful training has happened in conversation with clients themselves. I recognize how my identities contribute to a power differential with my clients, especially when working with marginalized populations. I work to interrupt this power differential whenever possible by being antiracist in my work and prioritizing humility and transparency. I believe that the relationship between client and therapist is key to any kind of growth and change, and therefore first honor creating an authentic relationship with the clients I work with.
