My name is Sarah Bowman and I want to help my clients feel empowered in making positive changes in their lives through a nonjudgmental and compassionate therapeutic style. I create a safe space for individuals and couples to explore their current and past relationships and link common experiences over time. My goal is for clients to find acceptance in the present while confronting behaviors and thought patterns that are not working for them. I believe that every person is capable of change and I want to help guide my clients through their struggles to a healthier life.
I specialize in working with girls, women, and gender-expansive individuals navigating eating disorders, anxiety, depression, OCD, and trauma. Many of my clients are highly self-aware and emotionally sensitive, yet feel overwhelmed by the weight of expectations, inner criticism, or the pressure to keep functioning while struggling beneath the surface. If you're a young adult or adult, you may be in a season of transition, burnout, or disconnection. You might be questioning your worth, your direction, or your relationship with your body and mind. Therapy can be a space to slow down, make sense of what’s happening internally, and begin to move forward with clarity and self-compassion. My approach is trauma-informed and rooted in compassion, curiosity, and connection. My style of therapy meets you where you are, honoring your lived experience while gently guiding you toward deeper healing.
Starting therapy can feel like a big step, and my goal is to create a space where you feel safe, supported, and understood. I specialize in working with eating disorders of all kinds—from anorexia to ARFID and everything in between. Alongside this, I also support individuals navigating anxiety, perfectionism, and OCD. Together, we’ll work to gently untangle these challenges with curiosity, compassion, and care. I draw from evidence-based approaches, including Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT), in which I hold a Level 2 certification through Behavioral Tech. These tools can help with emotion regulation, distress tolerance, and building a more balanced, meaningful life. At the heart of my work is the belief that healing is possible. You don’t have to go through it alone. Whether you’re seeking relief from anxiety, freedom from rigid patterns, or a healthier relationship with food and yourself, I’d be honored to walk alongside you in this process.

Hello! My name is Anjum (sounds like: Un-Joom), and I am a Licensed Masters Social Worker with 3 years of experience in mental health. I am the daughter of immigrants and has navigated the dichotomy of being born in the U.S. and having an ethnic minority identity -- especially having been a 1st generation college and graduate student. It is said that we rise by lifting others. This rings true as it describes why most of us in the field do the work. We want you to rise and have the self-efficacy to lift yourself. I do not believe in a one-size-fit-all approach for my clients, as I work to find the best therapeutic support for each person. I have an open-door policy and encourage you to take the lead in your own healing and path forward. I include Person-centered, CBT, Expressive therapies, Trauma-informed techniques and Humanistic therapies to treat clients. I believe the therapuetic rapport is an essential building block to any counseling relationship. I work to ensure that you feel safe and willing to explore in every session.
I work with children, teen, and adult clients on a variety of challenges, including behavioral issues, anxiety, depression, trauma, and more. As a young professional, I believe myself to be uniquely able to connect with the needs and culture of today's teens and young adults. I also consider myself an ally to all racial groups as well as the queer community. As a therapist with a commitment to lifelong learning, I know it is my responsibility to approach issues of diversity with humility, empathy, and openness. My primary therapeutic approaches are cognitive-behavioral therapy (CBT) and mindfulness strategies. CBT involves examining the relationship between our thoughts, feelings, and behaviors, and finding ways to disrupt patterns in our lives that bring us distress. Exploring the mind-body connection is also helpful for alleviating symptoms of anxiety and stress. We all exist at the unique intersection of our many different identities, experiences, and traits. No two people will experience the world in exactly the same way. If you're searching for a therapist who knows that you are the expert of your own experience and wants to help you identify and reach your goals, reach out today to see if we might be a good fit.
