I am a born and raised Southern girl and now a recent transplant to Virginia. I'm a licensed clinical social worker in both Virginia and Georgia and have 22+ years’ experience working with adults and young (college aged) adults. My specialities include anxiety, depression, ADHD, and stress. I especially enjoy assisting women with meeting their treatment goals! Additionally, I am trained in Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing (EMDR). I also offer EMDR intensives when appropriate and Adult ADHD Evaluations. I believe my job is to assist you with resolving your concerns in the most effective, efficient way possible. I primarily utilize brief solution focused and cognitive behavioral therapy. Whether you need just a few sessions or long term therapy, I can assist you with meeting your goals. In the midst of the serious work of therapy, I seek to help others find hope, humor, and a renewed joy for life. As part of a solution focused approach, I encourage clients to pursue a holistic approach to health- incorporating exercise, proper sleep and nutrition, spiritual practices, healthy relationships, and enjoyable activities.
If you are feeling stuck or conflicted, or would like to go deeper to process what you know is holding you back from living fully, I may be able to help. We can explore all of your particularity and weirdness, including things you love and find frustrating or shameful about yourself. All of your identities are welcome in therapy, even those that seem to conflict. Many of the people I am privileged to work with are exploring LGBTQ identities and/or religious faith or spirituality.

Are you finding the stresses of transition to university life to be more difficult than you thought? Do you feel lonely in the crowd, unseen? Do you feel that your worth as a human being depends on your academic success or other actions? Do you live in fear, guilt, or shame? Are anxiety and panic attacks a part of your life? Hardworking, ambitious, fucking exhausted. I work with women (18–30) who look like they have it together but are absolutely depleting themselves to stay that way. They’re responsible, creative, used to handling a lot…but they’re tired of overthinking, second-guessing, or feeling like no matter how hard they work, it’s never enough. Some have anxiety, depression, ADHD, or trauma histories. Others just know something feels off, that life feels heavier than it should. Often, they’re great at coping on the outside, which can make it hard to admit they’re struggling at all. But let’s be honest: Appearing “fine” is a full-time job. In therapy, we slow things down on purpose. We look at the patterns you’ve been stuck in — people-pleasing, avoidance, self-criticism — and figure out what’s actually driving them. We work with your nervous system instead of fighting against it. We build practical tools that help you move forward in your life. My style is warm, direct, & honest. I care deeply about my clients and will absolutely challenge you when it matters. I use EMDR, ACT, & DBT skills in ways that are personal and actually useful.

Hello and welcome! My name is Nicole, and I would love to talk about what has led to you seek out support through therapy. Often when I ask that question, I hear responses such as, "I feel overwhelmed by everything," "I worry about everything and can't seem to turn it off," "I don't want to do anything or be around people anymore" or "this really bad thing happened to me." If you ever have these types of thoughts, then this might be a good space to talk about and work through those thoughts and feelings. When you enter into my therapy space, it is a safe space that is private, confidential, and free of judgement. I use a strengths based approach to work with individuals who need support with exploring and managing their mental health, including depression, anxiety, life transitions, and even past trauma. Please reach out today so we can begin to work towards moving forward in your mental health journey!
CFGAW is a group private practice offering mental health counseling to adults and children. We specialize in treating trauma.
College students often come to me when they feel stuck in painful relationship patterns, weighed down by negative self-perceptions, or overwhelmed by their emotional experiences. Through compassion and careful emotional attunement, I help create meaningful, corrective experiences that support lasting change, strengthen self-understanding, and build a more grounded sense of confidence. I enjoy helping young adults navigate difficult family dynamics, set boundaries with themselves and others, and improve self-esteem. With almost a decade of experience working with college students, I understand the unique stressors that come with earning a college degree while also learning how to be an adult. I am passionate about helping young adults thrive as they navigate the transition to adulthood.

Do you struggle with just being yourself these days? Well, kick off your shoes, relax, put up your feet, let's get real and talk. Others you want to burst into tears or moments you feel like you're making all the wrong choices. I can understand if you need a break and want to scream. I'm here to help. Let's explore those issues you may be struggling with together and take back control of your life.

Hello! I'm so glad you're here! I work with folks who have learned to survive and navigate the world by making themselves small, putting their heads down, and doing the hard things that no one else will. They are intelligent, resourceful, and strong, so it is tempting to feel like if they try harder, think more, or be less themselves- all their feelings, challenges, or circumstances will change. But that hasn't been working. Often, they find themselves at the end of their rope, exhausted, disappointed, and unable to trust anyone- even themselves. If that sounds like you, I’m here to tell you- you are not alone. You deserve to be the fullest version of yourself with all the gentleness, acceptance, and support you dreamed of at the end of that rope. My goal for my clients is to work together to untangle the web of experiences, beliefs, and expectations that makes them feel stuck in survival mode, find healing, and move forward with self-compassion and hope. I view my role in therapy as a partner and a safe environment for my clients as they learn to hear, trust, and use their voices after the world has worked tirelessly to keep them quiet. I thrive in the real, raw, and grounded parts of life and hold space for my clients as they learn to unpack, access, and integrate their truth in those areas.
