I tend to work best with students who feel a lot on the inside, even if they don’t always show it on the outside. Many of the students I support describe themselves as deep feelers, caregivers, or high-achievers. They might look like they “have it together” but often carry stress, worry, or self-doubt that no one else sees. Some of my clients are navigating big life transitions such as, living away from home for the first time, managing demanding academic expectations, or figuring out who they are and what they want in relationships, career, or spirituality. Others come in because they feel weighed down by past experiences of trauma, anxiety, or addiction and want a safe space to work through it. What my clients share is a desire for relief, clarity, and a more grounded sense of self. They want a space where they don’t have to perform, fix, or achieve—just a place to be real and supported. In sessions with me, you’ll find a calm, supportive space to slow down and be yourself, no pressure to have it all figured out. We’ll explore what’s weighing on you, whether it’s stress, anxiety, past experiences, or big life transitions. My goal is to help you feel more grounded, hopeful, and connected to yourself so you can move through school and life with more ease.

Adapting to new environments, personalities and requirements can be a difficult transition for college students and their families. Additionally, social pressures, feelings of depression and anxiety are common. Unexpected stresses, failures or even success can bring a variety of emotions that may feel overwhelming. Anxiety, stress, fear, depression. All these words may describe the way you feel stuck right now, how do you get out? Making sense of our life experiences can be a little difficult for us, but I am here to help you find out what is getting in the way and what we can do about it. As a licensed and trained DBT (Dialectical Behavioral Therapy) and ACT (Acceptance and Commitment Therapy) Psychotherapist, I practice what I have found to be the most evidence based, effective, and personally meaningful approaches to help you exactly where you are, right now. Whether you are struggling with anxiety, depression, relationship/social issues, life transition, behavioral problems, suicidal or harmful thoughts, or bipolar or disordered personality traits, my practice is designed to provide relief and direction for your specific difficulties. I’m also here to help create the space for you to figure out what it means to be you, who you are, and who you want to be. Together, we can figure out the pieces. I welcome you to come, exactly as you are, right now, and we can move toward the person you want to be and the life you want to live. I look forward to meeting you, whether this is your first experience with counseling or if you are looking for a different approach. Whatever brings you to my office, we can do this together. I hold a Master of Arts in Clinical Mental Health Counseling from Asbury Theological Seminary and a Bachelor of Arts in Sociology from the University of Georgia. I am also an engaged speaker at Georgia Institute of Technology, the University of Georgia, and multiple organizations focused on providing mental health resources to college students and young adults. Additionally, I serve as a mental health liaison for most colleges and high schools in the Atlanta area and small group leader training in mental health awareness. As an LAPC, I receive my supervision from Marissa Mundy, LPC, CPCS. My additional trainings in Mindfulness Meditation, ACT, DBT, Motivational Interviewing, and CAMS enable me to work with clients of multiple faiths, backgrounds, and experiences.

I approach therapy through a cognitive, culturally sensitive, and mindfulness based lens. I utilize EMDR to help process trauma and other negative emotions stored in the body. I have completed EMDR basic training under Deany Laliotis, LICSW and am working toward my full EMDR certification under the consultation of Dr. Pegah Moghaddam, PsyD. I work with clients experiencing a myriad of clinical concerns including depression, anxiety, life transitions, and grief. Additionally, I have a passion for working with individuals overcoming complex trauma, including sexual abuse. Some of my other clinical experiences include working with substance use, HIV/AIDS, eating disorders, and suicidal ideation. Many of my clients are seeking out culturally sensitive care, where their identities are given the space to be seen and heard. During our time together we will work on building awareness of thought patterns, beliefs, and narratives that no longer serve you. I believe we all have the power to re-write unhelpful narratives, challenge negative thoughts, and transform our lives.

Therapy is a journey into yourself. It is choosing to step forward into growth rather than shy back into what is safe and comfortable. When we talk about our feelings, they become less overwhelming, less upsetting, and less scary. This process of self-discovery isn’t easy, but certainly worth it! My approach to counseling is that of being direct, honest, and straightforward. I work hard to balance that with care, compassion, and empathy. I will push you, but not past your limits. At times it may feel as if I am pushing you past your limits but that is because often times we aren’t able to see our true potential.

I enjoy working with youth and young adults who are experiencing issues with perfectionism, hypersensitivity, anxiety, depression, self-esteem, and/or disordered eating. I’m passionate about working with individuals who are navigating their gender identity and providing supportive and affirming care to queer, trans, and gender-expansive clients. At the core of my approach is a commitment to the principles of attachment-based and person-centered therapy. Through this methodology, we can facilitate positive growth and personal development, guiding clients on a path toward healing and self-discovery.

Research shows that it is the relationship between the client and the therapist that is the most important factor for success. I work to build a collaborative relationship that is rich, trusting, and productive. I look to encourage curiosity toward our experiences, where thoughts and patterns can be put into words. My work with people often centers around feelings of anxiety, dissatisfaction with important relationships or career, confusing ways of behaving, and a lack of clarity about why we feel the way we do. Often there is the sense that previous ways of being and thinking in the world may not be working as well as they used to. I believe Psychotherapy is an art and a science. Thinking together, we often find a better understanding of ourselves and our behavior, with a new sense of freedom and flexibility toward life that can be more strategic and less reactive, showing us a way of being and relating to others that is more creative, effective, and ultimately more fulfilling.
Terri Duda, LMSW, LLC
I employ a variety of approaches in my work including Dialetical Behavioral Therapy, Acceptance and Commitment Therapy, and Internal Family Systems. I have particular expertise in helping trauma survivors. I help people heal from complex trauma by providing a safe, caring, non-judgmental therapeutic environment. College can be a stressful time, with new academic demands, social pressures, and uncertainty about the future. College can also be demanding with tight deadlines, exams, and responsibilities, leading to high levels of stress that can become overwhelming. I have special expertise in helping students navigate the demands of college. I have experience helping individuals who struggle with eating disorders, anxiety, and depression. I also have experience working with individuals who identify as part of a gender, sexuality or relationship structure minority (GSRM). I also have expertise in healing from narcissistic abuse. Narcissistic abuse is a type of emotional abuse where the abuser only cares about themselves and may use words and actions to manipulate their partner's behavior and emotional state. Healing from this kind of abuse requires expertise from the therapist about navigating boundaries, especially when there is a continuing relationship. I believe it is a privilege to accompany people on their therapeutic journey. I tailor my approach to each unique individual.
Ashley Ludwinski, LCSW; Redbud Counseling Services LLC
I am a trauma-informed provider who specializes in supporting individuals and couples navigating conflict, depression, anxiety, infertility, chronic illness, grief/loss, trauma and transition. One of the bravest things we can do is begin to understand our own stories. Clients I support often grapple with the impact of narratives about who they were, are, or "should be", leaving them questioning, "Do I matter?" or shedding pieces of their identity to generate a sense of belonging. Together, we can explore societal and relational influences on your story, while identifying your values, strengths, options for healing and growth. I believe every client holds expertise in their own experiences and deserves the right to make decisions honoring personal journeys and values. My approach incorporates relational-cultural, feminist, and interpersonal lenses. I utilize the Gottman Method, CBT, DBT, IFS, and MSC strategies, also drawing from 12+ years of experience as a parent and educator. Everyone deserves to experience validation, compassion, and belonging. I am committed to facilitating a space in which you feel understood, valued, and supported as we prioritize your goals, explore your story, and incorporate strategies for reintegrating pieces of your Self so you also can experience increased personal acceptance and relational connection.
