Hi! I work with children, teens, adults, and families to help them meet their goals and improve their overall well-being. My approach is warm, creative, and client-centered—I tailor each session to fit your needs and comfort level. As a Registered Art Therapist and talk therapist, I believe in the healing power of creativity. Art can help you process complex emotions, build coping skills, and find hope and resilience. You don’t need to be an artist to benefit from art therapy—it's about expression and exploration, not perfection. If art isn’t your thing, that’s totally okay too! I also use traditional talk therapy approaches.
I see a whole host of issues in my practice, however I specialize in trauma--whether that is childhood sexual abuse, current sexual assault, chronic trauma that occurred throughout your life (i.e. neglect, chaotic upbringing, etc), or one time events (natural disaster, accidents, deaths). Trauma often leads to a host of other issues, that I also work well with in my practice. Some of the issues I see alongside trauma include anxiety and depression, life transitions, relational conflict, process addictions (such as eating disorders, sex or gaming addiction), substance abuse, or family of origin issues.

I am also offering telehealth services. In a comfortable and supportive atmosphere, I offer a highly personalized approach tailored to each of my clients individual needs to help attain the treatment goals and personal growth they’re striving for.

Hi! I'm Rosie (she/her). I am a Licensed Clinical Social Worker in the states of both Georgia and Texas. I work primarily with young adults (20s and 30s), and many of my clients are people who identify as LGBTQIA+. I have special focus in trauma processing, ADHD management, and career exploration. Throughout my social work career I have passionately advocated for racial, social and economic justice through the empowerment of individuals and groups including BIPOC, LGBTQIA+, people with HIV, people experiencing homelessness, people with mental illness, people with disabilities, veterans, children and youth, and more. As a queer and neurodivergent therapist myself, I am mindful of how people’s identities factor into their experience of the world and their experience in therapy. I believe that people begin to heal the moment they feel heard. While I do incorporate interventions like CBT, EMDR, IFS, and distress tolerance, my first and foremost focus is to be unconditionally on your team and on your side. Past clients have told me that I am a natural listener and am genuine and warm in how I relate to people. When I am not obsessing over the personality psychology phenomenon known as the enneagram, I enjoy laying in the sun with a good podcast, jogging the Atlanta beltline, reading, cooking, yoga, and exploring the local food scene.

I welcome a warm nonjudgmental spirit of truth, empathy and compassion. I can help you through those tough times and those good times. I enjoy listening and helping others through this journey called life. I offer cognitive behavioral therapy, solution focused therapy and reality-based therapy. When I was a sophomore in college I was diagnosed with a chronic illness. It was a devastating time for me, juggling numerous doctor’s appointments, going to school, having a part-time job, and witnessing the beginning of the end of my parents’ marriage. I eventually got to a point a few years later, after getting married and moving away from home, that I just couldn’t continue pretending like everything was okay. Getting out of bed was a struggle, and so was being motivated to do anything. That was the first time I seeked out therapy, and it had a profound impact on my life. I was able to find new purpose and confidence, which started my own journey of being a counselor, because I wanted to help other people through their tough times. Now I am fortunate to be able to support other women as they work through the difficult periods of their lives, redefining themselves, setting goals, and finding renewed purpose. Let me assist you in doing just that!

Welcome! Regardless of what you’re experiencing, you don’t have to do it alone. My ultimate hope for my clients is that they develop deeper, more rewarding relationships with themselves, God, and others. I love getting to be your partner in this process. CLINICAL FOCUS I am a disordered eating counselor who is passionate about helping individuals heal their relationship to food and their bodies. Having worked in higher levels of care in eating disorder recovery (IP, RES, PHP), I have extensive knowledge and experience in treating a range of eating difficulty presentations. I believe that many of us end up stuck in patterns that aren’t serving us like they used to. These patterns are often why people enter therapy. My clients typically hear me say that their behaviors make sense and have been incredibly useful at times to keep them safe, connected, and surviving. When these behaviors don’t serve us anymore, we need to learn something new. That’s where therapy comes in. I incorporate EMDR and talk therapy to help people move past disordered eating behaviors and rebuild broken trust with themselves and their bodies. When our body isn't the enemy anymore, we have the capacity for more depth, connection, and presence in our lives. This impacts everything. I also work with individuals facing challenging relationship dynamics, trauma and attachment wounds, anxiety and depression, shame and self-worth issues, and spiritual concerns. In addition, I am a Prepare/Enrich Certified Facilitator and enjoy working with pre-marital couples as they prepare for marriage. WHAT TO EXPECT IN A SESSION My counseling style is warm and relational. I counsel from an attachment perspective, which means I prioritize building a secure relationship between us. We'll do hard work together, but you'll always have someone in the trenches with you. I conduct sessions virtually. This means we will meet from the comfort of your home (or lunch break if needed!). Being in an environment that is familiar to you can help create a sense of security. It can also eliminate barriers that make it difficult to attend therapy.
