Allia Siler
Thank you for considering me to be part of your journey. My name is Allia (she/her), and for my clients, I provide a safe and healing place to grow. For the past four years, I’ve worked as a therapist and advocate for child and adult survivors of abuse and sexual assault. And through this work, I have honed my skills in helping people through trauma, transitions, self-worth issues, and identity. I work with a wide range of clients and survivors and particularly gravitate towards individuals within the BIPOC and LGBTQ+ communities and young adults. Each person is different and thus, each treatment plan is individualized to meet that person’s needs. And in working together, I will follow your lead and meet you where you are. I look forward to working together!
Nicole Denman
Hello and welcome! My name is Nicole, and I would love to talk about what has led to you seek out support through therapy. Often when I ask that question, I hear responses such as, "I feel overwhelmed by everything," "I worry about everything and can't seem to turn it off," "I don't want to do anything or be around people anymore" or "this really bad thing happened to me." If you ever have these types of thoughts, then this might be a good space to talk about and work through those thoughts and feelings. When you enter into my therapy space, it is a safe space that is private, confidential, and free of judgement. I use a strengths based approach to work with individuals who need support with exploring and managing their mental health, including depression, anxiety, life transitions, and even past trauma. Please reach out today so we can begin to work towards moving forward in your mental health journey!

Do you have a loud inner critic? Are you feeling worn out by trying to manage it all? Are the ways that you're coping not working as well as they used to work? Maybe you’re exhausted by the fear that your best will never be enough. Maybe you doubt that what you’re doing is good enough, even when other people praise your efforts. You have high standards that continue to rise with each success and accomplishment. You have a hard time relaxing and feel guilty when you do. Along the way, trying to be the best student/friend/child/employee/etc has become overwhelming. Meeting the weight of those expectations has become unmanageable. If you're feeling this way, therapy can help. Together, we can help you access your own inner calm and confidence. We can relieve inner critical parts of the burdens that are contributing to your exhaustion, anxiety and stress.
Nicole Thoms Fuentes
“Baby steps” + “you gotta feel it to heal it” are two truths that guide my work as a therapist. I believe healing unfolds when we move at a pace that honors your body, your story, and your inner knowing. I show up with care, curiosity, and a liberatory-focused, neurodivergent-affirming lens to support your growth, self-trust, and embodied healing. As a 1.5-generation, neuroqueer, Afro-Latina AuDHDer, I understand the complexities of moving through a world not designed to hold all of who you are. I offer space for PoGM, QT2BIPOC, 2SLGBTGEQIAP+, immigrant, and neurodivergent (Autistic, ADHD, OCD, CPTSD, etc.) adults to explore, reclaim, and come home to themselves.
Nicole Prowell, PhD, LCSW
I believe that mental health is a journey of piecing together multiple working parts, and I hope to be a part of that process with you. About Me I hold a PhD in Social Work and I am also a Licensed Clinical Social Worker serving the states of Georgia and Maryland. I received my PhD from the University of Alabama, my MSW from the University of Georgia, and BA from The University of Alabama. I have multiple years of clinical experience among various populations (children, teens, families, and young adults), various backgrounds, and in numerous settings (residential, inpatient, outpatient, private practice). I also currently hold an academic appointment as Assistant Professor of Social Work. I am someone with whom people generally feel at ease and comfortable, which is an important part of what makes therapy work. My initial goal within the therapeutic relationship is to provide you with just that: a positive, safe, and comfortable place, where you feel at ease to talk about things that matter to you. Outside of work, I enjoy hanging out with my pets, finding challenging hikes, cooking/baking, going to the beach/finding water, gardening, exploring the city, and spending time with friends and family. I also enjoy picking up new creative projects and DIYs! Who I Help & What I Help With Who I Can Help 1. Children (6-12) 2. Teens (13-17) 3. Emerging & Young Adults (18-29) 4. Adult Couples What I Can Help With 1. Relationship issues or losing a relationship 2. Adjusting to and navigating life transitions 3. Improving unhealthy/disruptive habits and behaviors 4. Feeling sad or depressed 5. Trauma and loss 6. Feeling overwhelmed or anxious 7. Feeling alone or disconnected from others 8. Experiencing stress at work, school, or home 9. Conflict resolution and problem-solving 10. Learning to value and love yourself My Approach Types of Therapies It’s not uncommon for someone to enter therapy a bit nervous and with no clear sense of where to start – they simply want things to change for the better and to feel like themselves again. You are the expert of your own experience, but it’s easy to lose your way and feel lost when in distress. I will meet you wherever you are and help you piece things back to a sense of what normal feels like for you. The best approach is one that works for you, so I may draw on several different approaches to therapy, all of which have been shown by research to help individuals reduce stress, gain clarity, and make changes in their lives. They include but are not limited to: 1. Acceptance and Commitment (ACT) 2. Psychodynamic Therapy 3. Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT) 4. Trauma-Focused Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (TF-CBT) 5. Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT) 6. Solution-Focused Brief Therapy (SFBT) 7. Person-Centered Therapy 8. Narrative Therapy 9. Culturally Sensitive Therapy Services & Payment Things to Know First 1. At this time, all sessions will be remote/virtual and take place through a fully HIPAA compliant platform called SimplePractice. 2. You may choose the mode with which you are most comfortable (i.e., video, phone). 3. Virtual sessions are a great option for accessibility and flexibility, but please be sure to first, consider whether this is the most appropriate option for you at this time. How to Get Started Ready to get started? For scheduling of any kind (free consult, intake, regular sessions, etc.), just head to the “Contact Me” tab or the “book appointment” link at the bottom of every page of this website. You can schedule your first appointment on your own and whenever you’re ready with no initial contact required. Please note that I am committed to your privacy. Therefore, please do not include confidential or private information if you choose to email or call. Further and more detailed information will be exchanged through a fully HIPAA compliant platform called SimplePractice. I look forward to speaking with you! Visits with me typically involve the following types of sessions: Intake Session: Assessment & Planning (60 minutes, Accepts Insurance, Private Pay Rate: $200) It’s important to feel comfortable with your therapist, and while you have the option of beginning with a phone consultation or intake session, the first few sessions serve to help you and me decide whether the therapeutic relationship will be the best fit. The intake also serves as an Assessment and Planning phase, which is focused on learning more in depth about you, your history, and what brings you to therapy. This phase also allows me to begin putting together a plan for future sessions if you are comfortable with moving forward. All follow up sessions after the initial intake session will be considered a regular therapy session. Regular Individual Therapy Session (30-60 minutes, Accepts Insurance, Private Pay Rate: $90-$180) Following the Assessment and Planning phase, we’ll decide when and how often to meet. Session time frames depend on your treatment needs and personal circumstances and are guided by the plan we develop together. Please note that 30-minute sessions are private pay only. These sessions may work well for children and adolescents, day-to-day check-ins, more solution-focused sessions, quicker access to therapy, etc. Regular Family Therapy Session With Client (30 minutes; Child & Adolescent Only, $108, Private Pay Only) When needed, family sessions provide an opportunity to strengthen communication, address relational dynamics, and support your child or adolescent’s progress in treatment. These sessions may include parents/guardians, caregivers, and/or siblings depending on the goals we establish together. Please note that all family sessions of any length are private pay only. Brief Family Therapy Session Without Client (15 minutes; Child & Adolescent Only, $54, Private Pay Only) These brief check-ins offer a dedicated space for parents and caregivers to share observations, ask questions, and stay connected to their child’s therapeutic progress without the client present. They are not a replacement for regular family sessions but rather, serve as a lightweight touchpoint between sessions when needed. Please note that all family sessions of any length are private pay only. Couples Therapy Session (60 minutes; $216, Private Pay Only) Couples therapy sessions provide a structured space to address relational concerns, improve communication, and work toward shared goals within the relationship. These sessions are designed to support both partners in understanding relational patterns, navigating conflict more effectively, and building a stronger foundation for daily functioning together. Please note that all couples therapy sessions of any length are private pay only. Payment Options In-Network Insurance & Third-Party Payers I currently accept the following insurance plans in Georgia: 1. Aetna 2. Cigna/Evernorth 3. United Healthcare/UBH/Optum 4. Medicare & Medicare Advantage Plans I currently accept the following insurance plans in Maryland: 1. Aetna 2. Cigna/Evernorth 3. United Healthcare/UBH/Optum 4. Medicaid/Carelon Behavioral Health 5. Medicare & Medicare Advantage Plans This means that if you are enrolled in any of these plans (or potentially any of their subsidiaries), your out-of-pocket expense is limited to your deductible and copay/coinsurance. While I can assist in determining what these costs will be, it may be helpful to ask your insurance provider the following questions prior to your intake session: 1. What is my deductible and how much is remaining? 2. What percentage of payments for outpatient mental health services does my plan cover after the deductible is met? *I am currently working to become a provider in network with Anthem as well as any applicable subsidiaries under Anthem in the state of Georgia. I am also currently working to become a provider in network with CareFirst as well as any applicable subsidiaries under CareFirst in the state of Maryland. Private Pay & Out-of-Network Reimbursement I also accept private pay, and if you have another insurance provider, you may also have out-of-network benefits. With this option, your insurance benefits may reimburse the majority of the cost of therapy. With both private pay and out-of-network reimbursement, you will be provided with automatic invoices, statements, and superbills for any needed reimbursements later from your insurance provider. I recommend calling your insurance provider to learn more about how reimbursement works. It may be helpful to ask your provider the following questions prior to your intake session: 1. Does my plan provide out-of-network coverage for outpatient mental health services? 2. What is my deductible and how much is remaining? 3. What percentage of payments for outpatient mental health services does my plan cover after the deductible is met? *Lack of insurance coverage, privacy concerns, flexibility, and quicker access to care are only a few of the reasons why one might choose this option. Cancellation Policy All clients are required to have an active credit/debit card on file at the time of scheduling an appointment. For appointment no-shows, last-minute cancellations, or inactive insurance, you will be charged in full regardless of reason. This is necessary, as a time commitment is made and held exclusively for you. You may still apply this fee to future appointments. Contact Me Ready to get started? You ever wondered if there was a therapist out there who truly gets you? Who could relate and understand your experiences being different than the normative society? Well look no further! I work with clients navigating depression, anxiety, trauma, mood disorders, and relational struggles. I have a special passion for supporting geeks, gamers, creatives, alternative individuals, neurodivergent, and LGBTQ+ clients who often feel like they don’t quite fit the mold. I use evidence-based approaches like Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT) and Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT), along with elements of geek therapy. My clients often come to me struggling with perfectionism, boundary setting, self-esteem, identity, or body image issues, feeling stuck or overwhelmed in a world that doesn’t always make space for who they are. In our work together, we’ll create that space—judgment-free, collaborative, and affirming. Whether you’re battling your inner critic, processing trauma, or just trying to survive in a neurotypical or cis-normative world, I’m here to support your growth, healing, and self-discovery. Therapy doesn’t have to be sterile or detached—we can bring your fandoms, creativity, and passions into the room as tools for healing.
Mari Kate Picow
I believe that healing begins the moment you feel heard and understood. However, we live in a world where finding someone who can actively listen and attend to our true emotions and thoughts non-judgmentally is hard to come by. I use my authenticity, empathy, and sense of humor in therapy to provide a safe space where you can get to the root of the challenges you may be experiencing. However, I also believe it’s important to provide you with coping skills to equip you in becoming more independent in managing strong emotions on your own. I have training in trauma focused therapies such as Trauma Focused Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (TFCBT), Attachment, Regulation, Competency (ARC), and Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing (EMDR). I also utilize Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT) quite often to assist in identifying negative beliefs about yourself and the world that are driving the symptoms and behaviors that might bring you to therapy. One of my favorite parts of therapy is when I can assist someone in developing self-compassion and uncovering their inner strengths and potential. I also utilize creative interventions when appropriate through art, sand tray, and music. I have experience in a variety of settings such as employee assistance programs working with clients of all ages and high school-based counseling. I work under the clinical direction of Meg McLeroy, LMFT and the supervision of Laura Knox Furfari, LMFT. I encourage you to contact me with any questions, and I look forward to connecting with you.

My therapeutic approach is rooted in person-centered and attachment-based theories. I emphasize authentic, caring, empathetic, supportive, and collaborative connections. Together, we can explore and adjust pathways to develop safe and secure connections with yourself and others. I believe that healing, growth, and change are possible for everyone, both from within ourselves and through experiencing a genuine sense of belonging. Through connection, my hope is to invite and encourage a space for us to explore in depth the underlying challenges that may be causing current pain and stress. I earned my Master of Science in Clinical Mental Health Counseling, specializing in Children's and Adolescent Counseling. I enjoy working with children, adolescents, young professionals, and adults experiencing interpersonal intricacies, life transitions, executive functioning difficulties, self-esteem and self-image issues, and multicultural identity exploration and formation. I integrate a variety of theoretical orientations in sessions depending on each person's specific needs, such as narrative therapy, internal family systems, cognitive-behavioral therapy, client-centered therapy, and attachment theory. I work under the direct clinical supervision of Drew Phillips, LMFT, and the clinical direction of Meg McLeroy, LMFT.

Do you experience the feeling of loneliness, sadness, or fear of the future? Do these feelings affect your ability to do the things you normally enjoy? Helping people live a life that they love is my passion. Learning how to work through difficult relationships, process grief, set boundaries, or process going through a life transition. My goal is to help you learn how to work through these issues and live the life you've been longing for. I offer a welcoming space with in-person and virtual appointments to suit your schedule. As a therapist, I am here to listen and encourage the client, but the client has to want to do the work within themselves. It is so important for us to work as a team to establish achievable goals that you as the client can work towards. I am the guide, but it is up to the client to put forth the work and effort to heal and better themselves. I would love to hear about you and your story. I am passionate about helping others to feel listened to and acknowledging that we are not identified by our mental health issues. I want to be able to help you to work through your issues. I want to help you rebuild and reframe your thought processes so we can bring hope and light to your situation. I earned my Masters degree in Clinical Mental Health Counseling from Penfield College at Mercer University in Atlanta, Georgia, and my undergraduate degree in Psychology from Young Harris College in Young Harris, Georgia. I am currently working under the supervision of Joel Baker, LMFT, and the clinical direction of Meg McLeroy, LMFT. Please do not hesitate to give me a call or connect with me via email!
