Hello! Act2Change Therapy & Wellness Center is an inclusive and affirming therapy and coaching practice serving clients throughout the state of Georgia. We are currently only offering services via secure Telehealth due to the COVID-19 pandemic. Many of our college-age clients find Telehealth to be particularly convenient, given their busy schedules. Our practice is comprised of three clinicians that offer support on a wide range of concerns, including but not limited to: anxiety & stress, burnout, cultural & systemic oppression, depression, emotional disturbance, family conflict, gender affirming care, identity issues, perfectionism, personal growth, multi-partner relationships, self-esteem, work/life + school/life harmony, traumatic experiences, and other transitional life issues. Our therapists identify as Millennials and Gen Z, which means we can relate to you and your experiences, first hand. We work from a collaborative and solution focused approach to help you create a plan that is forward-thinking and achievable. We are living through unprecedented times and life feels harder and heavier than ever. Please don't struggle alone. We are here to help and look forward to connecting with you.
What would it look for you to live a life that more closely aligns with your values and potential? Sometimes we find ourselves feeling stuck as we repeat the same self-defeating thoughts and behaviors. We try to cope with the stresses of life, but our coping mechanisms just don't seem to work anymore. Let's face it: life can be really hard at times. But with the help of others, we can take steps towards becoming the people we were created to be. As a therapist, I create a warm environment to help you achieve your goals. I work with adults and adolescents who struggle with addiction, depression, and anxiety, as well as those who are simply adjusting to challenging life circumstances and events (i.e., a global pandemic, the loss of a loved one, moving to a new city). In all of these cases, I believe that change and healing take place in the context of relationships with other people, and I would consider it a privilege to cultivate a therapeutic relationship with you as you take steps towards living into your values and potential.
I have experience helping clients from diverse backgrounds with a wide range of presenting concerns. My approach is collaborative and supportive. I work to provide clients with practical skills to assist with immediate stressors while also addressing underlying issues when appropriate. Clients who work with me generally report feeling challenged by our work but also enjoying our sessions.

I specialize in working with: Black men looking to heal and grow; survivors of sexual violence or childhood sexual trauma; and LGBTQ+ individuals. I take on a person-centered approach to therapy. I primarily utilize Narrative Therapy during my sessions with individuals and couples. For couples who tend to have high conflict, I prefer to utilize Collaborative Couples Therapy to assist them in improving their communication with each other, while also working through their conflicts. Currently, I am a pre-licensed therapy working towards full licensure and under the supervision of Sharita Everett. I am able to see insurance clients via contracted sites.
I operate from a systems approach, and utilize narrative, solution-focused, and collaborative perspectives in the therapy room. My work is client-centered, and I strongly believe in meeting the client where they are and providing unconditional support during every step of their journey.
Have your life transitions brought up more questions about your life? Are you experiencing symptoms that are hard to understand or put into a typical psychological category? My clients typically are looking for holistic, nontraditional approaches to therapy to help them find their own answers. If you have experienced trauma of any kind, this is a safe place to explore how your own innate resources can help you cope and heal. My name is Danielle Veader and I work with young adults that are struggling to find balance and enjoyment in their lives. The stress of early adulthood can be really overwhelming. Class work, parental expectations, and navigating relationships is challenging. Anxiety, depression, and/or a general sense of feeling lost can seep in. I work with clients to help them better understand and manage their emotions. I partner with them to acquire the tools and skills to better cope with the inevitable stressors of life. We all understand that life can be hard, but no one has to navigate it alone.
