Welcome. I'm Andrea Jackson, LICSW, LCSW, PMH-C, a virtual therapist supporting college students and young adults across New York, Washington, DC, Virginia, Vermont, and Utah. The college years and early stages of adulthood can be exciting, but they can also bring stress, anxiety, self-doubt, loneliness, relationship challenges, academic pressure, and uncertainty about the future. You may feel overwhelmed by expectations, struggle with perfectionism, or find yourself questioning who you are and where you're headed. Therapy can provide a space to slow down, reflect, and develop tools to navigate these challenges with greater confidence. My approach is warm, collaborative, and tailored to your unique needs. Together, we'll explore what is contributing to your distress, build practical coping strategies, strengthen self-awareness, and identify patterns that may be keeping you stuck. I draw from evidence-based approaches to help clients manage anxiety, process difficult experiences, and create meaningful, lasting change. As a Black woman therapist and first-generation college graduate, I understand some of the unique challenges that can arise when balancing academic goals, family expectations, cultural identity, and personal growth. I strive to provide culturally responsive, affirming care where you feel respected, supported, and able to show up as your authentic self. Whether you're adjusting to college, preparing for graduation, navigating a career transition, managing a difficult relationship, coping with grief, or simply trying to find your footing, you don't have to figure it all out alone. I would be honored to support you in building a life that feels more balanced, connected, and aligned with your values.

Welcome! I’m Dr. Constance Zou, and I’m honored to be a part of your journey towards mental well-being. My academic and professional path has been dedicated to understanding and treating a wide range of mental health challenges. I graduated summa cum laude from Columbia University with a BA in Biology and earned an MA in Bioethics from New York University. I received my MD from Yale School of Medicine and completed my general psychiatry residency at the National Institute of Mental Health, where I also completed a clinical fellowship focused on studying the connections between hormones and mood. My extensive training has equipped me to effectively treat conditions such as depression, anxiety, intrusive thoughts, trauma, women’s reproductive mental health, and sleep-related issues. I utilize both psychoanalytic and cognitive-based psychotherapy modalities to provide personalized care tailored to your unique needs. With over a decade of continuous engagement in medical research, I am passionate about delivering evidence based care and advancing the field of psychiatry. Part of my previous work highlighted biases and inaccuracies in the publication of clinical trials by pharmaceutical companies, emphasizing the importance of informed and safe treatment choices. At our practice, you will find a compassionate and knowledgeable partner in your mental health journey. Together, we will work towards achieving your personal goals and enhancing your overall well-being.

Are you someone who avoids social situations, seeks out reassurance from others, or describes yourself as a people pleaser or perfectionist? If so, you might be struggling with anxiety. Anxiety shows up in a variety of different ways. These challenges arise during major life transitions or may be associated with relationship, school, or work-related concerns. I have a special interest in working with young adults who experience anxiety and stress. I'm here to help you gain the tools you need to feel relief and to approach your life in a more authentic way. I utilize techniques from the cognitive behavioral therapy (CBT) perspective as well as from the acceptance and commitment therapy (ACT) approach. Rather than work to remove anxiety altogether, I will help you learn ways to tolerate anxiety and discomfort and respond to anxiety in a healthier, more productive manner.
I work with adults (18+) who have difficulty managing their emotions and who struggle with depression, anxiety, impulsive behavior, thoughts of suicide and self-harm, interpersonal problems, or problems functioning at work or school. I provide evidence-based treatments including Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT) and Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT) to help my clients change ineffective behavioral patterns, develop more helpful ways of thinking, and accept difficult realities in order to build the lives they want. I see therapy as a collaboration between client and therapist to work towards their goals in treatment and in life. I specialize in DBT, a gold standard treatment for Borderline Personality Disorder and related problems with emotion regulation. I provide a range of DBT services for clients. I also use CBT to treat specific problems: panic, generalized anxiety, OCD, depression, and trauma. I can tailor treatment interventions to meet clients' individual needs. Through my validating and nonjudgmental style, I am committed to providing high-quality, evidence-based treatment to help you reach your most desired goals.
