Are you your own worst critic? You are the first one to point out your faults, and a part of you continues to feel like you’re not doing enough. Do you put the needs of others before your own - feeling that sick-to-your-stomach guilt when saying “no”? Do you find yourself escaping in work, hobbies, and relationships to avoid sitting with your thoughts and feelings? If these feel familiar, I am with you, and I would love to be a support for you. Let’s quiet that inner critic that can be so very loud, and make space for a voice with a bit more kindness. Let's work together towards more self-trust, self-compassion and self-esteem. I take a very relational approach to therapy. I want our time to feel like an exhale - a space where you can show up as you are, share openly, & feel understood. I enjoy bringing my personality into the space with humor and shared interests. Clients who work with me share that I am warm, thoughtful and compassionate, while also creating a space for growth. If you are interested in working together, please reach out for a free consultation. Don't see your concern listed in my profile? I work with young women and LGBTQ+ folks with anxiety, perfectionism, and people-pleasing tendencies. You set goals for yourself that aren’t reachable, and you feel like you’re failing, though from the outside it may look like you have it together. You know that the patterns in your life aren’t working, yet it’s hard to identify what to change and make those changes on your own. It’s a big step to even recognize that you might benefit from therapy. Therapy can help you make those changes so that you can relate differently to yourself, your loved ones, and the stress & loss in your life. Healing doesn’t happen in isolation. Together, we can untangle old narratives, identify the things that aren’t working in your life, and develop new coping methods that work for you. Therapy depends on us developing a safe relationship from which we can explore your feelings and concerns. In our therapy sessions, you can expect compassion as well as a focus on practical skills on how to relate differently to the stress and loss in your life. I prioritize developing a safe relationship between the two of us in therapy, from which we discuss your relationships with yourself and with others. My practice is antiracist, LGBTQIA+ inclusive, and HAES informed. I have immediate openings for teletherapy and in-person therapy. In addition to my regular hours (8am-5pm), I can offer evening appointments upon request. You can schedule a free 15-minute video consultation at my website, sierralarsontherapy.com.
Specializing in trauma and relationship healing, which includes work as a Certified EMDR therapist. My work also incorporates CBT, emotion-focused, client-centered and psychodynamic aspects. I work foundationally from a family systems perspective and use that as a resource to help identify what is currently showing up in your everyday life that feels unhelpful or disruptive. Typical symptom presentation includes anxiety/panic, sadness/depression, grief and loss, fear or anger.
I am a religious trauma therapist in Denver. Recovering from conservative religion can leave you questioning who you are, what you believe, and how to trust yourself. Maybe you're stuck in perfectionism, constantly thinking, “I’m not good enough,” leading you to isolate from others or hold yourself back from your goals. Maybe you have trouble making decisions because you believe you can't trust your instincts. You might not remember a time when things felt different. But you’re ready for relief: a kinder inner voice, more joy, and a deeper connection to your authentic self. You’re ready to feel confident, not because you’re perfect, but because you’re finally free to be you. As an experienced self-worth, anxiety, and trauma therapist, I believe you can untangle the messages from your past that are holding you back. You don’t have to keep making yourself small and you don’t have to do the work alone. Visit my website to schedule a free 15-minute consultation so we can discuss how I can help.

Your body holds the wisdom to heal. As a body-centered, mindfulness-based psychotherapist, I blend practices from the East and West, evidence-based interventions with spirituality, movement with introspection. I work with highly sensitive, empathic clients to help them build healthier relationships, let go of substances and patterns that no longer serve them, improve self-esteem, find freedom from anxiety and depression, and come home to their bodies. I believe in the healing power of embodiment to help my clients recover. In my work, there is always space for vulnerable moments, profound realizations, uninhibited emotions, and very often, deep belly laughs. As a fellow traveler along the path, I understand profound loss and trauma. With an extensive background in substance abuse and trauma treatment, I get that mental health challenges can take over your life. Using a holistic and tailored approach, I will work with you to treat the underlying causes of substance abuse, anxiety, depression, and other symptoms of trauma. As a body-centered psychotherapist, I take a “bottom-up” or “embodied” approach to trauma-focused modalities, including EMDR. I also offer Ketamine-Assisted Psychotherapy for additional support in treating treatment-resistant depression, PTSD, C-PTSD, and other trauma symptoms. If you want to break free from the symptoms of trauma, begin a healing journey, or simply improve your overall well being, I’d love to help you get there.
Can You Relate? As a teen, you feel lost, broken, misunderstood, unseen and unheard. You don’t know why it has to be so hard. You look around and desire the relationships, confidence and life that other people seem to have so easily. You’re worried about what other people think and can’t seem to get out in your head. As a young adult, you search for independence, but feel overwhelmed with all the “adulting”. There are so many transitions to manage and questions you can’t answer just yet. You want to address the things that do not feel quite right, so you can create the best version of yourself and thrive. Im a firm believer that your struggles do not define you. You come with a unique set of beliefs and experiences that shape the way you show up with yourself and the world. I welcome all my clients to show up to our space exactly as they are, and I promise to do the same. As I often find myself pushing back on traditional ways of thinking about approaches to mental health and wellness, I embrace the unconventional and seek to find out-of-the-box and cutting edge solutions that align with your values, strengths and goals. I don’t treat problems — I partner with you. Together, we will build a connected and balanced life free of the limitations you currently feel and experience. I’m excited to get to know you! I’m even more excited for you to get to know yourself in new, life-changing ways. Throughout our time together, we will look at all the not-so-fun parts of you and the not-yet-understood parts. Most importantly, you’ll discover the very best parts of you that were always there, but perhaps got a bit lost as life got more complicated.

Hi there, I’m Gavyn. Originally from Illinois, I spent my formative years in the Madison, Wisconsin area. My academic journey led me to the University of Milwaukee, where I earned my Bachelor of Arts in Psychology. During high school and throughout my undergraduate years, I immersed myself in various treatment environments, from nursing homes to residential treatment facilities, and outpatient mental health clinics. My commitment to serve my community remained strong as I persisted in finding a setting that would fuel my passion for aiding others in their treatment journeys. Upon completing my undergraduate studies, I ventured to Chicago to delve into the world of wedding photography, a pursuit that fed my artistic soul but left me yearning for deeper human connections. This longing eventually led me and my husband to Colorado, where I embarked on my Master’s in Social Work, specializing in Animal Assisted Therapy. Here, I discovered a profound passion for integrating the healing potential of the human-animal bond into my therapeutic practice. My professional journey has been diverse, encompassing work with various populations, including adolescents diagnosed with Oppositional Defiant Disorder and those navigating disordered eating challenges. Through these experiences, I've refined my ability to address a wide spectrum of mental health concerns. Central to my approach is a belief in the power of a strengths-based perspective, recognizing and nurturing the innate resilience and resources within each individual. I strive to cultivate a safe and supportive environment where clients can freely explore their thoughts, emotions, and behaviors. Establishing a strong therapeutic alliance is fundamental to my practice, empowering clients to feel understood and empowered on their path to healing. When I am not in the office, you'll often find me cuddling my four fluffy animals—two cats and two dogs—or plotting my next exciting adventure.
