Being in college or graduate school often means navigating big transitions, shifting relationships, academic pressure, identity exploration, and uncertainty about the future. You may look like you’re holding it together on the outside while feeling overwhelmed, anxious, disconnected, or stuck on the inside. My role is not to “fix” you, but to help you reconnect with your own capacity to heal and grow. The coping strategies that helped you survive earlier seasons of life may no longer be serving you. In our work together, we’ll build on your existing strengths while developing new skills that support resilience, emotional regulation, and authentic self-trust. I have experience working in hospitals, schools, and in a university setting, and I specialize in working with survivors of trauma. My trauma-informed approach prioritizes safety and nervous system regulation first. We focus on building your ability to feel grounded and present before engaging in deeper trauma processing, and healing does not require you to relive or recount everything before you’re ready. Starting therapy, especially with a new provider, can feel vulnerable. I aim to create a space that feels steady, collaborative, and respectful of your pace. If you’re considering beginning therapy for the first time or returning after a break, I welcome the opportunity to talk and see if we’re a good fit. I provide teletherapy to clients 18+ across Colorado, and in person sessions in Longmont, CO. Due to a conflict of interest, I am unable to work with current students of the University of Colorado Boulder. Reach out by text, call, or message to schedule a consultation.

Whether you’re seeking support for individual challenges or relationship issues, our compassionate team is here to guide you toward meaningful change. Session rates range from $75–$250 with our team therapists, and we offer a free consultation to help you find the right fit.

It seems like doing life got harder. Stress is prevalent, the room clears out. You feel overwhelmed, patience is low and checking out sounds like a good idea. Tired of trying to make everyone happy? Got friends? Love? Expressing confidence is difficult and you question yourself constantly. All of these can lead to depression, anxiety, unhealthy relationships and poor habits and addiction. But they don't have to cause suffering. There are many tools available to you that can help you problem solve, reduce anxious and depressive symptoms, improve relationships and even tools that you can start using right now to find love. I practice from the belief that everyone can have a balanced life. You can have love, friends & even appreciate going to work every day. That anxiety is not to be feared but appreciated. That your mind has the potential to heal naturally given the right tools. My toolbox includes art, mindfulness, somatic techniques, CBT, outdoor therapy and more. The hardest step is to show up to your first session. For many of us it is like the first day of school. Soon, you get to know your teachers and with hard work, you learn, you grow and you move on. Team up with me and you will soon discover that you won't want to go back to the old way of being.

Our practice specializes in treating university and college students using a strength-focused approach. We believe fully in helping clients utilize the strengths that they have to address the aspects of their life that are not working and the areas of their experiences where they are stuck, hurt, or failing to thrive. All of our clinicians have extensive experience working with undergraduate and graduate students, as well as their partners and families. We believe that students at any stage in their education are at exciting moments in their lives that are well-designed for psychological growth and healing.
Our private practice is located near I-25 and Colorado Blvd. We utilize Play Therapy with children and teens in addition to working with adult individuals and families to create the empowerment to make choices that better fit the reality you envision for yourself. For too long, mental well-being has been something that people were supposed to figure out for themselves. We're here to tell you that it really isn't necessary to go it alone.
I was born and raised in Rockford, Ill. before moving to Columbia, Mo. to attend the University of Missouri. I graduated with a Bachelors of Journalism and moved to Rogers, Ark. where I worked as an editor and designer for Celebrate Arkansas Magazine. I fell in love with Northwest Arkansas and stayed in the area to attend graduate school at the University of Arkansas. I earned a Masters of Science in Counseling in 2015 and opened a small practice in 2016. I relocated to Denver, Colorado in 2020. I decided to become a counselor because -- most simply put -- I believe in counseling. Throughout my own counseling work I have come to see the value in sitting across from another person and allowing them to see all of me—my fears, my doubts, my shame, my joy, my hurt. I find author and researcher Brene´ Brown sums it up best: “Owning our story can be hard but not nearly as difficult as spending our lives running from it. Embracing our vulnerabilities is risky but not nearly as dangerous as giving up on love and belonging and joy—the experiences that make us the most vulnerable. Only when we are brave enough to explore the darkness will we discover the infinite power of our light.”
Imagine feeling supported through every stage of your journey, making sustainable changes that resonate through your life. I'm passionate about guiding clients through these transformations. When you connect deeply with your therapist, change becomes not just possible, but tangible. With me, therapy isn't just a session—it's a safe haven where your thoughts and behaviors are validated and gently challenged to foster positive growth. I offer individual and family therapy, addressing anxiety, depression, trauma and life adjustments. I believe in the power of mind-body connection to equip you with resilience and tools for growth. Therapy is a collaboration, and together we'll define your goals and chart the path to achieving them. My approach is trauma-informed, creating a space where your experiences are understood and respected. I draw from DBT, CBT, ACT, and person-centered therapy to tailor our sessions to your needs. Building our relationship means creating a space where you can be authentically yourself—where humor and warmth blend with non-judgmental support. Outside of therapy, I love walks, appreciate good cheese, and find joy in laughter. Let's embark on this journey together. I'm excited to meet you and start building something meaningful.
I believe therapy works best when it looks at the whole person. My approach to therapy is integrative. We will explore how your unique brain works and how your environment, history, and physical well-being all play a role in your mental health. I specialize in supporting individuals in Colorado navigating executive functioning, ADHD, OCD, anxiety, life transitions, self-esteem and body image as well as navigating the nuances of relationships, boundaries and communication. Together we will look at the intersection of your physical health, environment, and daily rhythms to create a sustainable path forward!
If you’re feeling stuck, anxious or overwhelmed, find yourself repeating the same patterns, or are struggling to figure out your identity in a new role or stage of life, you’re not alone. So many of us try to push through without stopping to take care of ourselves. What you’re feeling is exhaustion that is masked as resilience. You deserve a life that feels calm, connected and meaningful. Selah Therapy Studio can help you find your way there. The word Selah means to pause and reflect. In our sessions, you’ll have the space to slow down, explore what’s beneath the surface and move toward balance, empowerment and healing. I work with adolescents, young adults and adults who are experiencing anxiety, past trauma, grief or major life changes. My approach is warm, collaborative and client-centered. Together, we’ll explore how your past experiences - including trauma, family dynamics, or difficult life events - shape the way you view yourself and the world. Your past may shape you, but it doesn’t have to define your future. Healing doesn’t mean erasing the past - it means learning to live fully with it. Together, we can make sense of what has happened in and around your life, so you can create space for change. I welcome you to reach out today for a free consultation to see if this feels like the right fit.
I work with young women and LGBTQ+ folks with anxiety, perfectionism, and people-pleasing tendencies. You set goals for yourself that aren’t reachable, and you feel like you’re failing, though from the outside it may look like you have it together. You know that the patterns in your life aren’t working, yet it’s hard to identify what to change and make those changes on your own. It’s a big step to even recognize that you might benefit from therapy. Therapy can help you make those changes so that you can relate differently to yourself, your loved ones, and the stress & loss in your life. Healing doesn’t happen in isolation. Together, we can untangle old narratives, identify the things that aren’t working in your life, and develop new coping methods that work for you. Therapy depends on us developing a safe relationship from which we can explore your feelings and concerns. In our therapy sessions, you can expect compassion as well as a focus on practical skills on how to relate differently to the stress and loss in your life. I prioritize developing a safe relationship between the two of us in therapy, from which we discuss your relationships with yourself and with others. My practice is antiracist, LGBTQIA+ inclusive, and HAES informed. I have immediate openings for teletherapy and in-person therapy. In addition to my regular hours (8am-5pm), I can offer evening appointments upon request. You can schedule a free 15-minute video consultation at my website, sierralarsontherapy.com.
Are you a young adult struggling with depression or anxiety? Are you finding it hard to adapt to the academic demands and new social situations of college, and finding yourself feeling lonely, isolated, or overwhelmed? If so, I think I can help you chart a course that will help you feel better, less alone, and more connected. Adapting to life at college and planning for adulthood pose many challenges and leave some young adults feeling adrift and confused. There are many new situations to navigate whether they be how to make friends, how to balance academics with extracurriculars, or how to date and find connection. I have worked with college students and young adults for over 10 years to help them find their path, understand themselves, and deal effectively with their emotional struggles. Together, we will seek to understand what it is that troubles you and develop ways to productively deal with these difficulties. Therapy is, at its core, a relationship built on trust that focuses on helping you gain a better understanding of yourself so that you can better navigate your feelings, challenge your fears, and live a full life. I hope that we can work together to help you find your way.

Dr. Jessica Reyka, Psy.D., the founder and owner of Grass Roots Healing, LLC, is a firm believer that in order to reconnect and heal, we must first go back to the "root" of the problem or concern, which often stems far back into one's life, and then work towards healing from an inward-out approach. "The stronger our roots are, the more beautiful the leaves that come from the tree"; similar to the process of therapy where we rebuild the foundation from which you view the world and create a life/beliefs/behaviors that are more in alignment with your true values and authentic self. Dr. Reyka's experience involves complex trauma, attachment & relationship issues, anxiety & other mood disorders, adoption-related trauma, & rebuilding skills related to relaxation and stress management. She approaches therapy in a collaborative manner, truly connecting with her clients, listening to their needs/goals, while gently guiding them in healing. Grass Roots Healing, LLC is a safe place for LGBTQIAPK+ individuals & all ethnic and minority groups. We strive to embrace diversity within our practice and therapeutic work. We also strive to bring evidence-based interventions and holistic approaches/modalities into the therapeutic process. We are looking forward to hearing from you!
