I was born and raised in Rockford, Ill. before moving to Columbia, Mo. to attend the University of Missouri. I graduated with a Bachelors of Journalism and moved to Rogers, Ark. where I worked as an editor and designer for Celebrate Arkansas Magazine. I fell in love with Northwest Arkansas and stayed in the area to attend graduate school at the University of Arkansas. I earned a Masters of Science in Counseling in 2015 and opened a small practice in 2016. I relocated to Denver, Colorado in 2020. I decided to become a counselor because -- most simply put -- I believe in counseling. Throughout my own counseling work I have come to see the value in sitting across from another person and allowing them to see all of me—my fears, my doubts, my shame, my joy, my hurt. I find author and researcher Brene´ Brown sums it up best: “Owning our story can be hard but not nearly as difficult as spending our lives running from it. Embracing our vulnerabilities is risky but not nearly as dangerous as giving up on love and belonging and joy—the experiences that make us the most vulnerable. Only when we are brave enough to explore the darkness will we discover the infinite power of our light.”

Do you struggle with excessive worrying? Do you find yourself avoiding certain situations out of fear or nervousness? Do certain situations trigger you emotionally? Are you always striving to be the very best academically while being hard on yourself if you don't measure up to your own expectations? If any of these scenarios sound familiar to you, I can help. I have over 12 years experience working with people who experience issues related to Anxiety and Trauma. I also specialize in helping people overcome Perfectionism and other issues related to Over-Achieving. I utilize cutting edge, evidence based therapies including EMDR, Mindfulness and Cognitive Behavioral Therapy to help people overcome their challenges. When I work with people I try to see the world through their eyes while also providing new perspectives. I help people understand the origins of their problems while helping them learn new skills to manage symptoms. I often utilize Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing (EMDR) to help people resolve trauma and anxiety. This cutting edge therapy can alleviate symptoms more quickly and thoroughly than talk therapy alone. I also love working with college students! I provide both in person and tele-therapy.

I have worked in mental health since 2011 with a wide range of people. I mostly help people who are experiencing the effects of stress, anxiety, depression, relationship issues, and trauma, among other things. I focus on building a quality relationship with people I work with, where you feel seen, heard, and understood. I also incorporate approaches that draw on recent neuroscience research in order to provide tools and resources that can be used in the present moment, while we find ways of addressing underlying causes and creating long term change. Many people who find their way to me have already been in therapy and are looking for something a little different from traditional "talk therapy". I am committed to multiculturalism and am a LGBTQ+ ally. A few modalities I employ are EMDR, Deep Brain Reorienting (DBR), Gottman Institute, Experiential/Somatic/Gestalt (including parts work). Please feel free to explore the website, or reach out if you have any questions. Thank you.

You can do hard things, but you're tired, or wondering if things have to be this hard. You take care of yourself, but you still feel lonely or worried. People on the outside might say you're crushing it, but on the inside, sometimes you feel you're being crushed. You have big questions for which there may be no answers. I live in the same world you do, with its profound beauty and heartbreaking flaws. I strive to connect with my clients authentically, and sit with them as we contemplate difficult questions. If you are looking for a warm and collaborative space to process your emotions and maybe get some podcast recommendations along the way, we might be a good fit. Oh, and if the phrase “Highly Sensitive Person” means something to you (or feels like it should), I’ve got you. My clinical expertise is with the young adult population, having spent a decade working in institutions of higher education. My private practice clients are typically in the 18-40ish age range. At this time, my practice is fully online via HIPAA-compliant videoconferencing. Please note, this modality is not suitable for everyone.

Finding calm and clarity when your mind won’t slow down is possible. I can guide the way. We have more influence over our thoughts than we realize. In our work, you’ll learn to approach your thinking more intentionally. As your thoughts change, you’ll start to notice changes in how you feel, the choices you make, and how you move through your life. I help clients slow things down, make sense of what’s been difficult, and address the patterns that keep them feeling stuck. This often includes working through anxiety, depression, and the impact of trauma and past experiences. I also support women navigating life transitions, helping them feel more grounded and steady through change. My approach is thoughtful and practical, combining insight with tools you can use in your day-to-day life.

I believe in a collaborative healing approach. Together, we identify areas of concern and develop strategies for change. I also believe in exploring the underlying causes of our struggles. My approach is varied, taking and blending techniques from a variety of sources, rather than relying on a single system of intervention. I strive to create a safe environment for my clients to explore their world in an authentic way. I am a Licensed Professional Counselor with the State of Colorado. Individual Therapy - Recognizing the need for change can be exciting. The path forward is sometimes unclear, and at times, overwhelming. Together, we will develop a plan for the change you desire. Over time, this change can become long-lasting, and transformative. Couples Counseling - We all bring our personal history and experience to relationship. I believe that sharing this story with your partner in different ways can reveal a deeper level of understanding and intimacy. A new way of relating announces itself; revealing entirely new possibilities in your relationship.

I provide individual and couples psychotherapy and use a relational approach to collaboratively explore with clients ways we learn early in our lives to cope with uncomfortable emotions that often contribute to current problems. I specialize in working with people struggling in their close relationships and those committed to improving their understanding of their feelings and themselves. My ultimate hope and goal is to help clients to increase their capacity to respond to future challenges with more resilience, insight, and self compassion. People who tend to benefit the most from working with me in therapy often feel overwhelmed due to grief, loss, or trauma or have difficulty maintaining healthy, loving connections. I particularly enjoy helping clients looking to improve the quality of their close relationships and those interested in deepening their comfort with emotions. I also work quite a bit with individuals seeking ongoing personal growth and exploring how to live their most fulfilling and meaningful lives possible. I believe wholeheartedly we can lead happier and more fulfilling lives by exploring our deepest, most vulnerable emotions to discover our authentic selves. As a licensed psychologist my training and experience allow me to help clients overwhelmed by painful feelings or stressful life events along with those seeking ongoing personal growth and a deeper and more meaningful sense of contentment in their lives. I am honored to have the opportunity to work with people looking to develop healthy close relationships in a safe and compassionate environment.

Welcome! Many women in college come to therapy feeling overwhelmed, anxious, stuck, disconnected, or unsure, often caught in patterns they’re ready to change. You might be navigating college adjustments, emotional stress, social or relationship challenges, trauma or loss, attachment patterns, self-discovery, spirituality, self-esteem or belonging, women’s issues, or major life transitions. Life brings both pain and beauty, and reaching out for support takes courage. My work offers a warm, holistic, and collaborative space to explore these experiences with care, creativity, and solution-focused guidance. Somatic psychotherapy with me provides a space to breathe, slow down, and connect with your inner life and wisdom. Drawing from Somatic Experiencing, Internal Family Systems, and Dance/Movement Therapy, I integrate body awareness, nervous system and parts work, creative expression, and practical tools to support emotional regulation, insight, and meaningful change. Healing often begins in small moments of being truly met. I believe it unfolds through authentic, non-judgmental connection, where curiosity, attunement, and care create space to rediscover who you are. I offer a warm, supportive presence that nurtures resilience, clarity, self-trust, joy, and a deepening sense of belonging within yourself. Email me to schedule a free 15-minute call to see if we’re a good fit to work together.

Hello! I am a clinical psychologist specializing in supporting individuals and couples who want to better understand themselves, how they relate to others and all of life. My style is warm, active, and genuine. I strongly believe in the importance of building an authentic and trusting relationship for therapy to be effective. I work from a relational framework, also drawing from my training in attachment theory, mindfulness, third-wave cognitive-behavioral (ACT, DBT) and interpersonal therapies. My approach is always grounded in compassion and curiosity for how my clients experience themselves and the world. I am a California native and completed my graduate education through Stanford before moving to Colorado in 2020. I worked in university counseling for two years as a predoctoral intern and postdoctoral fellow at CU Boulder’s Counseling and Psychiatric Services and love working with students in my private practice. I address a wide range of concerns, most commonly including relationship difficulties, existential issues, anxiety, and depression. As a first-generation immigrant, I am particularly fascinated by the impact of culture on identity and relationships.
