I'm an LGBTQIA+, anxiety, and trauma therapist, working with students across Colorado. Do you feel weighed down by anxiety, trauma, identity struggles, or the lasting impact of religious harm? Many of my clients are LGBTQIA+ adults or survivors of religious trauma who carry exhaustion, dread, and fear from living in systems that questioned, silenced, or shamed who they are. Clients also come to me with anxiety, which often shows up as hypervigilance, burnout, or the ache of feeling like you're not enough. You may long for healing and the freedom to be fully yourself. You are not alone, healing is possible, and your story matters. I provide affirming, trauma-informed therapy rooted in narrative, somatic, and liberation-focused practices. Together we’ll untangle harmful messages that have shaped you, teach your body to feel safe, calm your nervous system, and re-author the stories holding you back. You'll reclaim your identity while moving toward a more authentic and empowered life. As a queer-affirming, feminist, and anti-oppressive therapist, I offer care that is tender, respectful, and at the right pace for you. Whether you’re healing from trauma, recovering from a harmful spiritual background, or seeking growth beyond anxiety or hard life transitions, I'll walk with you in it. Virtual Sessions Only! Hi! I'm Stacey. I work with students who are experiencing anxiety. I have worked in Mental Health for over 20 years. I love working with college students! I like to describe myself as your mental health accountability partner. We often know the things we need to be doing to keep on top of our health and wellness, but it's easy to get off track. That's where I come in. I teach you self awareness and how to add daily habits that will help you overcome your anxiety. I give weekly homework (don't worry, it's easy and fun) to help you learn how to manage your anxiety daily. I like to empower my clients by teaching them how their bodies work and how to hack their own nervous systems so they can live a calm and relaxed life. I use an Integrative approach and also offer Hypnotherapy. I offer free consultations. I hope to hear from you!
We help individuals, couples and families improve quality of life through a personalized approach to therapy.

My name is Michelle Kennedy, and I am a licensed clinical social worker who works with young adults navigating identity, relationships, sexuality, trauma, and major life transitions. I know that college and early adulthood can be exciting, confusing, overwhelming, and deeply transformative all at once. Therapy can be a space where you don’t have to have everything figured out. As a queer woman and part of the LGBTQ+ community, I’m especially passionate about supporting LGBTQ+ individuals who are exploring their identity, questioning their sexuality, coming out, navigating family dynamics, or learning how to live more authentically. Whether you’re confident in who you are or still figuring things out, I strive to create a space that feels affirming, safe, and free of judgment. My approach is compassionate, collaborative, and trauma-informed. I believe healing happens through connection, honesty, and feeling truly seen. I work with clients experiencing anxiety, relationship challenges, grief, stress, self-esteem struggles, and the impact of past trauma, including abuse, neglect, and loss. Many of the people I work with are trying to reconnect with themselves, build healthier relationships, and feel more at home in their own lives. My goal is to help you better understand yourself, heal from painful experiences, and move toward a life that feels grounded, meaningful, and authentic to who you are.
I believe growth happens when we feel seen, supported, and understood. My counseling style is compassionate and collaborative — meeting you where you are while helping you take clear, intentional steps toward where you want to be. Using a gentle yet solutions-focused approach, I draw from evidence-based practices to help you uncover patterns, develop effective coping tools, and move toward lasting change. Whether you’re navigating anxiety, life transitions, stress, or relationship challenges, our work together focuses on understanding your story and finding practical ways forward. My goal is to help you build insight, confidence, and resilience, so you can feel more grounded, connected, and capable in your daily life. I specialize in working with teens, young adults, and adults who are navigating life transitions, anxiety, stress, and relationship challenges. Many of my clients come to therapy feeling overwhelmed, stuck, or uncertain about their next steps, and are ready to find a way forward toward greater balance and fulfillment. Wherever you are on your journey, therapy is a space to slow down, reflect, and take meaningful steps toward growth.

I work with college students and young adults who feel stuck in cycles of anxiety, overthinking, performance pressure, and emotional shutdown — even when they are capable and motivated. Many of the students I support struggle with test anxiety, presentations, interviews, perfectionism, panic symptoms, or the sense that their nervous system goes into “fight or flight” under pressure. Others experience anxiety and depression together, which can affect motivation, focus, and connection. My approach is neuroscience-informed and practical. I use evidence-based therapies including EMDR, ACT, CBT, Polyvagal-informed therapy, and mindfulness-based strategies to help clients regulate their nervous system, reduce reactivity, and build confidence in real-world situations. I provide a supportive, structured space where students can develop tools to manage stress, improve emotional regulation, and move forward with greater clarity and resilience
You and your life isn’t one note. You are multifaceted and the demands you face happen to be as well – particularly when you are a student. Currently, the sound-track of your life has moved away from the sounds of a harmonious symphony -or maybe from an upbeat pop song- to something more unnerving and stressful (like the alarm you use to wake up to in the morning or the background music in a horror film—building tension, bracing yourself from some known or unknown threat). It makes sense that life has been overwhelming -increased responsibilities and life demands alone would contribute to this feeling. Add fears about the future, a recent breakup, challenging relationship dynamics with family, and/or other stressors and you might find yourself tipping the scales of your emotional bandwidth. I help students focus on the unique aspects of their lives that are no longer serving them – with empathy, tools, problem-solving, and emotional healing and growth. I believe you can have a richer and higher-quality of life– free from the overwhelming influence of your current life demands, harmful past experiences, poor modeling, and environmental toxicities (psychological).
