Hello! I serve adolescent and adult clients from a variety of backgrounds who all are seeking freedom from stress and overwhelm. Some are burnt-out and exhausted because they have high-expectations for themselves and struggle with self-care. Some have experienced childhood trauma or challenges in relationships. Some are so overwhelmed they default to avoidance-numbing with doom scrolling, binge-watching, or staying too busy. Some numb themselves with drugs and alcohol to cope. They all want to heal and be free from the patterns they experience. I would love to help you in your journey too!

Hi, I am a Licensed Clinical Social Worker (LCSW) with over 15 years of experience working with individuals that are dealing with mental health issues across their lifespan. I believe my experience as a first-generation college student has helped me make connections between the mental health issues we face with the addition of the insecurities and overwhelming experiences encounter simply by becoming a college student. I have experience providing services to help those facing trauma, depression, anxiety, grief/loss, anger, parenting support, men’s mental health issues, and various other presenting problems. I use my trauma-informed background and lessons learned in my own experience to gently help guide you toward a new shift in mindset that you want to establish, guided through your strengths, and with empathy every step of the way.

I offer straightforward help with anxiety, depression, and relationship issues. It starts by developing a holistic understanding of your situation and history. With that shared perspective, we'll work together to find the best way to resolve your current challenges. Our work together may involve finding a kinder way of relating to yourself and more effective ways of connecting with others and getting their support. If it requires developing new skills, I offer help through mindfulness, breathing practices, biofeedback, relaxation, and thought management. I'm confident that by learning to think and act differently, and addressing obstacles to change, you will gain more control over your life and start feeling better.

Do you feel like something is wrong with you? Are you wishing you could just "stop"? Do you always feel like adults don't understand? My practice is based around what happened to us, not what is wrong with us. My goal is to create a safe, collaborative, interactive and fun space where you feel understood, empowered, and equipped with practical tools to meet your goals. Together we will learn, build on your strengths, and celebrate your wins. I am here to support & guide you through this process, together.

I work with couples and adults. I help college students who are dealing with anxiety, depression, relationship issues, or feel overwhelmed by the transition to college, their workload, or have experienced a loss. I help couples rebuild/strengthen their friendship, learn how to manage their conflict and find ways to compromise, deal with differences in parenting, process past hurt, and deal with other stressors that can impact the relationship, such as OCD, Depression, in-law problems, work schedules, or working together. I also offer premarital counseling for couples hoping to navigate important conversations prior to marriage. I support adults with work stress, anxiety, family/relationship issues, grief, divorce, and acclimating to college or any other big life transition. I'm certified in Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT) and received intensive training in the Gottman Method for Couples therapy. Both are research- based, which means they have been shown to be effective. It also means that there are many tools that I can draw from to support you. Reaching out for help is a vulnerable thing and finding the right therapist is KEY to a successful journey in therapy. I offer free phone or video consultations to make sure you get a sense of what it might be like to work with me, and for me to hear more about you and make sure I have the tools/experience to help you. I hope to hear from you soon!

Welcome! My name is Rachel and I work with young adults who are navigating the effects of traumatic experiences. I believe that anything that overwhelms our capacity to cope and move forward can be traumatic, and this often shows up as anxiety, chronic disconnection, or feelings of inadequacy and unworthiness. I help clients become more aware of body sensations, thinking traps, and response patterns to stressful situations. We will collaborate to move towards a life where you feel more centered and connected with your self, your values, and the world around you. I approach therapy from a holistic perspective and include experiential, present-focused exercises in sessions to help deepen the mind-body connection and equip clients with tools to use in daily life. I love to walk alongside my clients towards feeling more grounded, authentic, and alive, moving at a pace that feels safe and gentle. If you are looking to reconnect with your vitality and resilience in a compassionate space, I would love to connect and see if we are a good fit. I offer virtual and in-person therapy, with the option for walk and talk sessions.

**Therapy that honors who you are and who you're becoming.** College can be an exciting time, but it can also be confusing, lonely, overwhelming, or just straight-up messy. As a therapist with over ten years of experience, I love working with college students as they navigate anxiety, depression, identity exploration, academic and life stress, trauma, and big transitions. My goal is to offer a space that feels safe, grounded, and affirming, where you can be fully yourself and work toward what matters most to you. My therapy style is warm, collaborative, and non-judgmental. I use evidence-based approaches like Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), EMDR, mindfulness, and solution-focused work to support your growth and healing. I also bring a trauma-informed lens to all I do and strive to adapt therapy to meet your unique needs and goals. As a white therapist deeply committed to racial justice, I actively work to dismantle white supremacy in my practice, relationships, and within myself. I welcome clients of color and am committed to providing a space where you feel safe, valued, and respected. This is lifelong work I approach with humility, openness, and a lot of care. I am also passionate about working with LGBTQ+ students and have experience supporting queer, trans, and gender-expansive young people in finding safety, clarity, and connection. Therapy is a place to slow down, tune in, and make meaning. I feel lucky to do this work and would love to hear from you if it feels like we might be a good fit.

Are you going through a difficult time? Is it tough to get yourself out of bed in the morning and start the day? Feeling overwhelmed, sad, or anxious that it's difficult to concentrate on daily tasks. Please know that you are at the right place. Your life does not have to stay this way and we can work together to get you back in control of your life. The peaks and valleys will not be as drastic anymore. The cloud over your head will no longer follow you throughout the day. Together we will work on controlling your emotions rather than your emotions controlling you. As an Asian American, raised in a culture where mental illness was looked down upon and was not spoken about. My mission as a provider is to help destigmatize mental health and open the door to talk about symptoms related to depression, mood disorders, PTSD, and stress. I am here to help, empathize, and connect with you to take on this journey in confidence.

Let’s start with the fact that life is HARD! It can be overwhelming and one wild ride! When we go ahead and add loss and anxiety and relationship issues to that mix it can be hard to know where to turn. I offer a safe place to explore all the issues holding you back from a happy and healthy and fulfilling life. My specialties include pregnancy and infant loss, grief, mood disorders, and PTSD. My approach is working collaboratively toward a happier life for you by helping you make positive changes, including increasing your self-awareness and those barriers that have come between you and your goals. I work with clients in a caring and compassionate manner, and I tailor the treatment to fit their needs and goals. You are the most important part of your treatment - it needs to relate to your life in a way that works for you. I will challenge you to overcome the challenges you see in your life with support and positive feedback.

We all have the capacity for healing through self-discovery, self-awareness, and community. My role is to ease clients into a journey of healing, becoming more authentic in their creative works and relationships, and challenging inner dialogue that does not serve them by finding compassion and empathy for themselves. I engage my clients by creating a safe space where we can collaboratively work on developing a more intimate relationship with the "inner self." I'm a warm, intuitive, empathetic, and connected therapist who can be a witness to your journey. I primarily work from anti-racist, trauma-informed, attachment and somatic modes of therapy paying close attention to clients’ varying identities, intersection of these identities, and understanding their experience from a socio-cultural perspective. Mind-body connections, ancestral wisdom, social justice and multiculturalism are central to my approach. My passion and experience lies in working with young adults, artists and creatives, individuals from the BIPOC and LGBTQIA community, women, and partners engaging in family planning. I have significant experience in guiding individuals seeking gender confirming treatment, navigating medical systems, and exploring gender and sexual orientation identity.

Get In Tune Music Therapy
Clinic or agency
Denver, CO

We’re here to help anyone struggling with mental health to accelerate the healing process through music. Our founder Marlys Woods spent years using music to identify her emotions, but as she learned more about therapy, she realized that the one thing she relied on most to help her, was also keeping her stuck in unproductive, negative emotional states. Our mission is to teach everyone struggling with mental health how to stop using this powerful tool on a surface level, and start using music to create healthy life changes. We're working towards a society where we all know how to feel and face emotions and get to a place of freedom.
