Hello! I'm Valerie, and I have over 25 years of experience as a licensed clinician in the District of Columbia. I offer primarily individual psychotherapy for adults ages 25 and older who want to address symptoms of depression, bipolar disorder, anxiety, stress, grief, and/or anger. My approach to therapy is rooted in Cognitive-Behavioral Therapy, from a person-centered foundation, with a holistic perspective. This means I focus on helping you gain insight into the underlying emotional and mental challenges you may be facing, while considering all aspects of your well-being.
Throughout my career, I have worked with many individuals navigating life's transitions and dealing with various forms of stress and trauma. I believe that therapy is a collaborative process, and my goal is to assist you in initiating the healing process that can lead to significant transformation. Whether you're dealing with anxiety, depression, or the complexities of bipolar disorder, I am here to support you every step of the way.
In our sessions, you can expect a safe, non-judgmental space where your experiences and feelings are validated. I am committed to helping you explore your thoughts and emotions, develop coping strategies, and work towards a more balanced and fulfilling life. My aim is to empower you to make positive changes and achieve your personal goals.
If you're ready to take the first step towards healing and transformation, I invite you to reach out. Let's work together to create a path forward that feels right for you.
